The Tavern at The Beekman Arms
We had a great dinner outside on the lawn. Relaxing setting & great food.
Old friends meeting
Love the place, so we decided to have a special brunch for family visiting from out of town. Unfortunate that our waitress was so inept. Half hour to get coffee, folks coming in after us were done eating before we received our food. Slowest service. Perhaps related to Covid? Have been going there for over 40 years, and will continue to go...but if you you are going to pay 15 dollars for a pancake, you should expect reasonable service.
It was a return visit to a place with which I’m very familiar and it didn’t disappoint. Good food, warm and friendly service, coupled with a charming, cozy atmosphere.
Lunch at the Beekman Arms was wonderful! The building has such a lot of history & the architectural elements were fascinating. The food was delicious! I recommend the Avocado Toast appetizer! Our waitress was friendly & helpful.
I did not enjoy having to share my lunch with all the black flies that were in the atrium area. I spoke to the manager about the fly situation.
A lovely spot in a lovely town. We ate in the garden/sun room and enjoyed the view. The arugula salad we shared and it was very good. The calamari was excellent!! Cooked perfectly and spiced so well we hardly used the dipping sauce. Sweet potato fries were the best we ever had. Turkey confit sandwich was disappointing and the restaurant was gracious enough to take it off the bill. We will definitely return for lunch again.
My twin sister and I celebrated our birthday at the Beekman Arms this week. The staff was terrific! Olivia took us to the lovely corner table we had requested on the porch. The meal was delicious. Our waitress Abby even served up a cake we had brought and let us blow out the candles at our table. We have eaten here many times in the past and it is always a wonderful experience.
The Inn itself is beautiful and historic. The food and service that we experienced leaves much to be desired.
We always enjoy coming to the Beekman
Arms in Rheinbeck—The staff and the service is excellent and the atmosphere is pleasant and well maintained. However, one comment I would like to make about the outdoor dining is that a candle lamp on each table would be much appreciated as the sun goes down to make it easier to read the menu and see the check, etc.
Top notch service and highest quality food & drinks! Highly recommend!!
Charming setting, excellent menu choices and food, very friendly and competent servers, but you pay for it.
We ate there twice during our stay and had drinks at the bar as well. The food was excellent and the Tavern atmosphere was great. I highly recommend The Tavern at the Beekman Arms.
Enjoyed our meal in this historic inn& tavern. Drinks were excellent and the server was extremely accommodating.
As usual the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive and informative And did a wonderful job.
Meal took a long time but wasn’t servers fault
My friend and I stayed overnight at the Inn and had a lovely brunch on Sunday morning. The menu offered a nice variety of options. The food was delicious and the service was great. It was a nice ambience in the garden room, however, it was Father's Day and we were seated near a large noisy family so it was a bit difficult to enjoy our conversation . Overall, it was a pleasant experience .
Horrible food. Poor service. Sad
Our overall experience was quite good. The only negative aspect was the loud traffic noise (coming from trucks) as we sat out on the patio. I know the restaurant can’t control that, but the noise made conversation a bit difficult among the four of us. However we enjoyed sitting outside on that beautiful day.
Great ambience. We booked a table for two and the hostess nicely showed us our seating options in various rooms. Very historical building and we opted for sitting in the parlor. I can just image many years ago how the parlor used to be.
The food was okay. I got the filet and it was alright. I have had better. My boyfriend had the pot pie which was nice. Even though the biscuit was dry. We also ordered a salad which was nothing special. Would try to pork chop next time, if i was to go back.
This place also had a nice outdoor area that many people took advantage of since the weather was nice.
Our experience was outstanding. Every single thing was perfect...food, service, ambiance. We chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and we are so glad we did. I’m sure we will be back!
Delicious food and wonderful service and atmosphere.
Service was very good, food was delicious and the restaurant is just lovely. We love it here four seasons of the year.
Met a friend for casual lunch and it was the perfect choice.
Seems like they do not yet have it together for either the food or the service. They could not find our reservation. The waiter was disheveled and untrained—did not write down the order and had to come back to hear it again. The room was stuffy, the table next to ours was not cleared and stayed that way the whole time we were there, despite the fact that the restaurant (the rooms we could see) was nearly empty. Service was very slow. The food was not great. The Caesar salad was poor—not fresh, the croutons looked like they were out of a bag, almost no dressing and invisible Parmesan cheese. Onion soup was good. Everything else just okay. I realize it will take time to bring things back up, but there was seriously no oversight going on here.
They seated us in the greenhouse part of the restaurant which was a little too warm...and we could have been seated at a table closer to the cool air in the same area but folks didn’t look like they were particularly focused on getting you the best spot....just where their seating chart dictated. Having said that the wait staff were fairly attentive abd it took a little while for the food to come out but after we saw all the different dining rooms and how many people were actually in the restaurant we totally understood!
I had Eggs Benedict w salmon which was cooked perfectly and delicious....it could have used another spoonful of hollandaise sauce but I managed to get a taste on every bite of my food :). The potatoes were cooked perfectly and there weren’t so many that I couldn’t eat all of them.....just the right amount.
Hubby had a Caesar salad which he said was ok...we will come back in the future but will also try some other 5 star restaurants in the area.
Food was great as was the service. Will come back often. Love Rhinebeck !!
GReat ambiance, excellent service, delicious meal, fine drinks; a 10!
We were seated in a large banquet side room, loud parties, did not have the historic feel we were looking for last night.
We ate in the pub and it was excellent.
Stuffed shrimp (X2) and the turkey pot pie. Really delicious!
Great service from Becky even tho she was very busy.
Thanks, and see you again!
I’ve been to the Beekman Arms many times over many years. We met my sister there from New Jersey for a birthday munch, and sat in the solarium. I had cheese and broccoli soup and a burger and it was excellent. Out server was very sweet and nice. Service was a bit slow but the overall experience was great.
Delicious meal. Neat colonial feeling dining room. Beautiful building.
New green house room was a great way to enjoy both the indoor and outdoor beauty of this historic place. Grilled brussel sprouts appetizer was amazing, as was the lamb shank and chocolate cake. Beautiful evening, great value.
It was wonderful. Thank you.
We enjoyed eating outside under an umbrella and the tables were well set apart. It was loud with piped music and the street car traffic so it was hard to have a conversation. Service was slow and it took more than one attempt to get the waitresses attention. The food was well prepared but not served hot when it should have been. The portions were good. Cold coffee and took so long for dessert that we needed to get refills on the coffee. Not the best experience but a nice location.
My last two visits were rather disappointing. I went on mothers day expecting brunch and was given a menu that was basically all dinner options. My mother in law sent her prime rib back because it was too rare and full of fat. I decided to try again the following Subday for brunch. This time my French toast was burnt and thr home fries were over cooked. Not impressed with the recent quality of food they send out of the kitchen.
We all ordered the Turkey panini and it was lacking in Turkey. My sandwich had a bone in it. It was also not a panini, it was toast with the bottom piece soggy! I would definitely not recommend that sandwich. I would try something else...
This was a wonderful Mother's Day breakfast. Service was excellent in a lovely surroundings. My only suggestion is that the food items on the menu were a bit heavy for lunch. I addressed that by ordering two apps: their excellent French onion soup and an exceptional Caesar salad. An option for sandwiches would have been welcome.
Fantastic time with friends and great service! Definitely will go again!
Very nice time and dinner. Everything was very good and above expectations. We would return.
