The Terrace - Emporium Hotel South Bank Brisbane
Such a fabulous location. Menu is a bit limited but overall a great night.
We booked. Very Busy but to be expected. The wait staff were attentive enough given they were so busy. Loved the ambience. The glass ceiling which was opened to see and feel the night air. Then The floor let up like a dancefloor. What a surprise. Our food did not take too long to arrive. We had the barramundi and the pork belly. My friend wasn’t overly impressed with the pork belly but my other friend and I loved the fish. After we ate we went outside on the terrace to take in the magnificent view of Brisbane city and took many photos. We will return.
Went here for our anniversary dinner, had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful - although the wait time to be served was slightly long (as each staff member was dealing with a lot of tables and seemed to be rushed off their feet)! Overall, this was a brilliant experience.
Great atmosphere, great service, amazing views and food
Great decor and style. Lighting was far too bright for a fine dining experience. Food was excellent but took 45 minutes for entree. No one ever topped up our wine or water all evening so not the service I’d expect in comparison to other restaurants in the same price range.
We came with high expectations (from good personal recommendations) and booked a month in advance (as advised to) for our anniversary dinner. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed.
The seating / table heights were poorly designed for dining - we are both 171cm tall and felt like we were kids sitting at the big table with the adults, the table was so uncomfortably high in relation to the average height seats.
The overpriced menu was extremely limited and we considered leaving prior to ordering - the steaks that we eventually chose were served medium to well done instead of the medium rare that we ordered. We wished we had just a drink and left prior to dinner - certainly the bar atmosphere was much more predominant than the dining, but hubby was even disappointed in his beer.
I was happy just to politely leave and not leave a review (other than never returning), but on arrival home received an email from the booking website stating that the Terrace had accused us of defaulting on our dinner reservation. I clearly stated my name and the details of our reservation when we turned up 5 minutes prior to our booked time.
An anniversary dinner to remember for all the wrong reasons 😞
Fabulous restaurant, great view and ambiance and food
A lot to be said.
Booked a table for celebratory reasons, had planned to have a night with the full kit with drinks, dinner, desert. To start, we got sat at a high table by the bar where you're lucky to fit drinks and a bowl of chips. It didn't seem like booking a table was worthwhile if the walk-in guests received better seats/tables.
Young lady was nice with the food and drinks menu, had to wait 40min or so to receive a drink, while those who walked up to the bar waited 5min max. Admittedly the the others ordered cocktails while I ordered a beer on tap but no one should wait that long for either.
Never got asked for food, instead, the senior on the job took the menus for other people which I pressume caused the younger staff to not consider there onwards. Senior kept walking past, we're visibly annoyed but he failed to see.
We expected better from a mid to high-end space, you dropped the ball and ruined a nice night planned for us...
I love this place! It has a great outlook and great service!
However, the food has been better in the past. You could order lovely easy to eat bar snacks and feel satisfied.
The current bar snack menu (Nov 2020) is hard to eat as a snack and uninspiring; bland in taste and colour.
Would definitely go back and hope they update the menu 😊
Wait staff were excellent, bar staff were friendly
From the moment you get out of the lift and walk in your breath is taken away. Spectacular view and spectacular setting, food was amazing and excellent service. Will definitely be going again and not just for a special occasion.
Had Pork spare ribs - would not recommend as tough. The view is the draw card rather than the food & chairs extremely heavy to move & not practical. Was supposed to be a birthday celebration but came away feeling disappointed.
Only stayed for a cocktail and nibbles and it was fabulous the ambience is spot on
We are locals in the area and love to introduce friends not from the area to our local bar. Have always enjoyed our time at The Terrace. Staff are always great, view is great, drinks are great. We usually only tend to have share plates which are delicious.
Amazing views and funky decor.
Feels like your dinning in the sky amongst the clouds .
Perfect spot for anything. Always worth the experience if you can get a table.
We enjoyed a great afternoon/evening celebrating a farewell. A nice memory of Brisbane Overlooking the whole city.
The food and drinks were great, service was friendly, helpful and mostly attentive. We had to wait a while towards the end of our stay to order a last drink.
Overall a great experience, thank you.
First time dining at The Terrace. Cesar the manager was really friendly and attentive. We have known Cesar from his previous employment and have always like his service. The view was fabulous but the seats were a bit too low for dining purposes. Food was good too so overall we enjoyed our lunch.
Special mention to Marco who gave us superb service 👌🏽
Incredible venue - very stylish with amazing views. Food was delicious and arrived quickly despite being told there was a 30 minute wait. Prices were reasonable considering the location but the food is definitely made to share. Could not recommend enough!
Will never eat there again. The coke was served hot. They had no cold coke. The food was horrible. The calamari was a dry as an old leather boot. No flavour. Prawns were so spicy you couldn’t catch your breath. Ribs were oily and fatty with no flavour. Extremely disappointing as this was a birthday treat for my daughter. She had looked forward to it since our Sydney trip was cancelled due to corona. Waste of money.
Amazing view, tasty food, fancy decor, good ambiance
Food was excellent and the cocktail drinks were good. I hope there were more choices for dessert
Great for lunch. Menu was excellent. Views were fantastic from any table. Good wheelchair access and friendly staff.
Great bar/restaurant with fantastic visual impact. The staff were very courteous and helpful, had been trained very well. Great seats and fab views over Brisbane CBD. The drinks menu list is extremely extensive for Champagne, gin and cocktails, was a little smaller for table wine; but I think that's because it's more of a "Champagne" or "Gin" bar, the current trend!
The food menu was limited but this is just really a bar menu as there is another large restaurant in the hotel; but not with this view! Whilst the food was great (very small,"small plates", and charcuterie board, order extra food like we did otherwise you may go hungry) ,you didn't get a lot for your dollar - hence only four stars; the drinks also were probably a little more costly than other similar venues; but they don't have the view or ultra mod decor with opening roof, underfloor lights, etc.
This was for a small family meal for my daughters 21st, birthday and all in all it could've have been a better venue. Cost is subjective to many,so I would have no hesitation in recommending this very stylish bar/restaurant. just check the menu pricing before you go!!
The food was beautiful, the staff were a bit rude to us.
Great place for a night out - good food, cocktails and wines with a lovely view. We went on a Monday night and it wasn't super busy so I was surprised by the service which was a little underwhelming.
Room is bright and light with nice level of buzz. Food was yummy and our waitress was bubbly and helpful. Our table was probably the worst location in the room and we still really enjoyed ourselves.
Note - seats were very low and we ended up sitting on cushions to make ourselves a bit higher
Beaufitul spot but shocking service. We got one drink ordered after we sat but couldn’t get any other drink service till close to the end. Was so wanting to try different gins and cocktails but alas only had two!
We asked how many prawns in the small plate and told 8- alas it came with 4. Servers don’t know the food they are serving.
One persons main was brought and no others fo at least 30 minutes. We had to ask that it be returned to the kitchen to be kept warm.
No attempt to apologise or recompense.
I will return as I hope we just had a slack waiter.
First class service, stunning food and Brisbane's best view! Thank you so much to the staff making this a lunch to remember. I can not wait to come back again. Thank you!
A little pricey but worth it due to the service and quality of food and drinks! Good place to relax or to meet up with friends for drinks.
Overall, it was a lovely experience. We had the banquet for 2. It started with great entrees of unique flavours. However, our mains were rather small. The linguine looked like it was a plate divided into 2 portion. Perhaps we had a high expectation since it fell a little flat after. Nevertheless, we still had a decent time.
Beautiful food! Wonderful location and staff. Highly recommend the banquet
Amazing food even better cocktails , best view in Brisbane .
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Terrace. We had a table inside that had a wonderful view (and was also out of the breeze). Our food was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was great. I would go back again!
Loved it! Great ambience and service to celebrate a Graduation with family 🎓 I'd definitely consider coming back
Perfect lunchtime meal and delicious cocktails to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Beautiful views of the city from the restaurant, and equally smart on the inside. Staff were very welcoming. Food was excellent and well presented too.
Great hotel and the terrace was a great dining experience
I was at the rooftop Emporium Hotel South Bank Brisbane for my birthday.
Customer services were spectacular.
Atmosfera was very delightful and relaxing
Food was 4 out of 10.
Food prices were very expensive.
I don't like fine dining if I knew that this restaurant is fine dinging with bird food I wouldn't choose to have lunch or dinner.
Food isn't worth for the money you pay I will go next time again for drinks only no food :)
If you are hungry this restaurant isn't for you :)
The Emporium Hotel South Bank Brisbane has the most spectacular view. Beautiful furnishings.
