I am a regular customer and the menu is always varied. The service is excellent and always a good atmosphere.

I met a group of friends for lunch at 1pm. We chose from the light lunch menu which is excellent value & really tasty. The staff are friendly & although we stayed until 4.15 we were not pushed to buy more & more drinks

Very nice restaurant, service a bit slow but staff very friendly and helpful, roast dinner was good but my husband had the burger which he found quite dry, but generally was good value, decent selection of wine. We were sat at a table with lovely views out to sea, and the ambience was comfortable

Excellent food and service. Overcharged at 16.95 for 2 courses when website specified 14.95, did not think it appropriate to challenge this as it was my daughter's birthday meal and did not want to cause a fuss.

A lovely meal, sitting in a window seat overlooking the bay. The staff were attentive and efficient.

It seems very rare to find a chef who cooks steak medium rare. Most of them seem to overcook and ruin them. Perhaps a sauce and a small salad or veg In addition would be nice

So good returning again this week. Food always great. Salted caramel cheesecake was highlight. Don't usually like cheesecake

The food was fabulous, fresh , really tasty and good portions . The only thing that let it down for us was where we sat . The lights were very bright . We would definitely go again but sit in the bar area

Can't fault the service or food very pleasant restaurant

Presentation was poor, but what was really disappointing was the very small dish of vegetables to share between two. We did ask the question if was for one or two, and we were offered additional. Other than that the quality of food was okay, just needs to improve those two areas to warrant the cost we felt. We would go back because the staff are pleasant and approachable.

We always have a perfect roast dinner, and it’s our favourite roast around. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch. The staff were so very friendly and professional they couldn’t do enough for us. Fantastic food whole experience was really excellent will definitely recommend it to friends and family

Overall the food was great, although the chips on one of the meals needed a few more minutes. Some of them were not cooked through.

soup was a little on the spice side and the onion rings were extremely greasy roast dinner was lovely though.

The place is Ok....nice views...friendly service...not expensive but certainly not cheap for what you get. Would I go again.... maybe.... most restaurants in the area are very average if you are used to London standards

We came for Father’s Day and the food was amazing. Unfortunately the food was not good on Sunday. Very basic and not a vast selection.

Lovely food. Husband said it was best Sunday lunch he’d had eating out in a long while. Kids menu was great value. Staff really friendly. Already recommended to friends... will be returning

Really gorgeous food! We all enjoyed our meals and there was plenty of choice on the menu to suit all in our party. The staff were all great and the ambiance was perfect and to top it off was the beautiful sea view! Perfect!

Had a wonderful meal at The Toad. I’m quite a fussy eater but I had trouble deciding on which starter and main I would order.
The steak starter was brilliant and the Lamb Henry was just as good. Unfortunately I couldn’t try a dessert because I was so full!

Lovely food homemade tasty food with a fantastic view over the promenade in Colwyn bay.

Dined here a few times and food is excellent. On our last visit, our drinks did not arrive, so we had to remind the barman, the sweet did not arrive, so had to remind the waitress after 25 mins wait. On this visit, food still excellent, but service was very poor. Maybe they should have spent less time talking around the bar and concentrated on serving our order.

Staff very friendly and hard working, the food came out in good time and the steaks were cooked perfectly and a good slice of meat

Very good Sunday roast and very good desert, great value

We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival. The food was very good quality,well presented and plenty of it. The menu was interesting and a little different to the usual "pub food".

Always good food and great friendly service. Would recommend this to everyone.
