Excellent as always had the takeaway quite a few times now and it is excellent every time will be back

Take away spot on as ever - great fish and chip supper.

Excellent meal. Best whitebait ever. Lovely surroundings and nice friendly staff. Pity it was last day before second Lockdown however can't wait for the reopening.

The table was ready for us to be seated when we walked in to this pleasant pub with polite and helpful staff. Didn’t feel rushed and had a drink before ordering our food. The food was really good and tasty and very good value for money. Had a pudding which again was excellent. Will definitely be back and will be sure to recommend it to my friends. Just a note to say how clean and Covid friendly it was too. We felt very safe. Well done to the Traveler’s Rest and all your staff.

Absolutely fantastic! Staff are friendly and welcoming. The Food is amazing! We have been on a busy Sunday tea time and during the week and both times the service and food has been perfect. We will definitely be back.

We would definitely recommend the travellers rest we had a lovely evening nice atmosphere lovely girls waiting on the tables (very welcoming) Looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Nice decor. Food was beautiful and service was great. Ryan and staff were attentive without being intrusive. We had a lovely evening.

Although I was fairly impressed with the service and food, I thought it was very expensive - in particular the coffees. I've never been charged £4.00 for a small coffee before!

For this reason, we will not be returning and will not be recommending it to other people.

When we arrived we was shown straight to a table. The pub was quite empty and there seemed a lot of staff so was surprised that 20 minutes went buy without been asked if we wanted a drink so had to call someone over. Menu choice is quite poor really on a Sunday not a lot of choice on the starters apart from sea food or duck and also same again for mains. Chicken was really rubbery when asked the waitress said it’s actually boiled not roasted so shouldn’t be called a roast very expensive for the quality of the food .

A few items on the menu had sold out - not re ordered ,waiting for Boris’s words of wisdom on Monday . Starters were good smoked mackerel pate and potted duck . My gammon was tough my friends was ok , bacon chop very fatty . We were asked if we minded the owners dog being brought into the pub, we said ok but please keep away from our table - the dog was brought in wearing a nappy which promptly fell off !! Luckily it was time to go home 🙊

Really enjoyed our first visit . The staff were very helpful and accommodating .The food was great all came together , all hot no complaints at all .

Third time here it is really good and great value food is excellent
