The Veranda Restaurant
Amazing service and delicious food every time! Thank you!!!
My dad loves this place, and I love to take him. The view from your table is breath-takingly beautiful. The food is great, the service has always been superb. So lovely to walk around the manicured grounds after lunch. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Delicious food and beautiful setting.
I took my daughter to The Veranda (with her infant daughter) for a Ladies Brunch to celebrate her birthday. It was our first of many visits and a perfect place to celebrate! Delicious food, Amazing staff and a gorgeous setting. Our only suggestion is offering an area for diaper changes as there was no table or counter in the woman’s restroom. Otherwise - a perfect day!
I do like this restaurant. Food outstanding. Wonderful view. Pleased with service.
From he first moment we entered the manor we were treated like welcomed guests. We were escorted to our beautiful table on the veranda with a view of a gorgeous fountain, gazebo, rolling grass and beautiful foliage. The service was Impeccable, my prime rib sandwich was excellent and the prices were much less expensive than I had imagined. After a lingering lunch we toured the beautiful property. I highly recommend the Veranda be a destination event for a day trip or if you are passing through. Be sure to check the schedule and make reservations. I will take my out of town guests there again as well as my friends here in Southern California. Beautiful, experience.
Our first time though we have lived in Fallbrook for many years. Beautiful location. Food quantity was generous and delicious.
The Veranda is one of our very favorite restaurants, so naturally when it was my birthday, The Veranda it was. Service excellent, The Flatbread was overcooked and too crunchy. My husband loved his Wellington. We love as well the Appetizers. And, last but not least the view is absolutely incredible. A lake, flowers everywhere. A special day!
We were married at The Grand Tradition, a perk to couples is an annual complimentary meal. We love walking the gardens, and bringing guests for a garden brunch. The dishes are served with flowers which makes for a pretty presentation. The only downfall this visit was the breakfast egg rolls were overcooked. This was a big surprise, otherwise all else was perfection. I recommend the Wellington Benedict and trip tip sandwich, and salads.
The GT has the best ambiance of all the restaurants in Fallbrook. Great service. I had the salmon. For the price it was cooked ok--six bucks on top of the eleven dollars worth of greens. Perhaps after this review, the GT will encourage the cook to take the salmon a little more seriously. I've had some great salmon at the 20--25- and or 35 dollar level, so I'm a little spoiled. But--I don't think it would take much for the cook to learn the right way to do it. I'll check back in a few months and see.
We had a birthday celebration. It was a beautiful day and the whole experience was amazingly. We would highly recommend The Veranda. 💖
Always enjoy this venue, unfortunately the service this time was very disappointing.
I had the Panini club, it just did not have a lot of flavor. However everything else was delicious mom sandwich was awesome my daughters a steak burger and your french fries are so good. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon
I had brought a friend as a treat for her birthday....and it couldn't have been better. She loved her prime rib sandwich, the setting on the Veranda and you were setting up for a wedding on those beautiful grounds which made it even more special......love our day and thank you so much.
Overall a great place. They start off by giving a fruit/veggie plate while you wait for your server, which is a nice touch. The avacado omelet with sausage was great, it was on the spicy side, and the club was delicious. Great portion size for the food given the price, about $13 a plate. The coffee cup on the other hand was the size of an espresso cup. The service was very slow, so slow that I turned down the desert because the waiter took 20 minutes to come back to the table. Make sure to ask the waiter for a pass to the gardens. The waterfalls alone made up for the bad service. I would return, but make sure you have a few hours to spend.
I have always heard great things about it, so I made plans with a friend. The grounds are beyond anywhere else, just spectacular! I was not impressed with the food, very ordinary. The food just lacked that something special you thought you would get at a place like this. I can’t say a bad word about the service, it was above average. We had a long enjoyable lunch but I wouldn’t go back.
Grand Tradition is always a pleasure to visit and have an enjoyable lunch. Menu could be changed from time to time.Great Place!
Always a lovely location!
Amazing & fantastic
This is the most beautiful place to go for a wonderful lunch. Incredible!
Absolutely wonderful. Had my 3 and 4 year old and they loved it. WE ALL LOVED IT. food is delicious, atmosphere is lovely and prices are perfect.
Best kept secret in North County. Great breakfast, beautiful view. The check in process seems a little overly dramatic, but this place is fantastic.
The service was excellent. Ambiance superb. Food was great. I stumbled upon your gardens and restaurant quite by accident when looking for some place different to meet a friend for lunch. I am from Orange County and her from San Diego. We absolutely loved everything. I will definitely return. Thank you!
Everything was over the top except for two rude women at the end table of the veranda. They were so loud that we two women had difficulty carrying on a conversation. Several people stopped by to visit with them so my request for them "to be fair" was ignored.
Service was sluggish and less that top notch. Took a long time just to get a cup of coffee, then refills were nonexistent. Bloody Mary drinks were served with bacon to vegetarian friends. The menu had two sides, but wasn't pointed out so we only saw brunch items, and missed all of the lunch items - which they did remedy, eventually, albeit awkwardly. But a truly service-first establishment would have helped me order according to my diet vs letting me struggle with the eggs-based brunch fare. View is green and tranquil, porch has a southern charm, which made up for the service shortcomings. Food was good.
The service and food at your restaurant as always is amazing not to mention the ambiance is incredible. The staff was so nice to us while we were there. Thanks again and keep up the great work. (sorry to hear that the jazz concerts aren't going to be held there anymore)
Is there a chance you could have your restaurant open for more days? :)
The meal was excellent and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. You have a very beautiful place.
We booked a reservation at the Veranda for a birthday brunch and were extremely satisfied with our experience. The grounds are beautiful and made for pleasant surroundings for our meal. The food was spectacular and the service was extremely attentive. We definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for a weekend brunch.
Awesome scenery with excellent food and service. 10/10 made several visits now.
All I can say is “Amazing “
Good food, great service, beautiful gardens. A little hidden gem.
We love the Veranda Restaurant! The ambiance is wonderful, with a beautiful view of the lake and gardens. The service is excellent~everyone of the staff is so friendly and professional. The food is yummy and really beautiful. This was my 5th time in 2 months!
The setting is beautiful. The service started out very well with a very polite and knowledgeable waitress. As the meal went on the service level seemed to decrease a bit with us having to look for someone and wait to get water and tea refilled. One person in our party of 4 had a minor complaint, and we also didn't realize that the waitress didn't know that we wanted separate tickets, which we thought we had stated, so she had to 'recalculate' the bill. This all may have affected our service. Our food took 'forever' to arrive - I wasn't checking the time, and I could be wrong, but think it took about 30 - 45 min to be delivered. The food was fair and comparable to most restaurants at lunch. Everyone said it was 'ok' when I asked. The noise level was loud from what I expected from an outdoor venue - felt like I needed to yell when talking. But again, generally a nice venue and I would probably go back, though my expectations would be a bit different.
Conversation was difficult and got worse as the noise level from other diners increased
We had a great visit. The hostess was very friendly and attentive. Our waitress, Alexis, was very nice and we never had to wait for drinks, food, dessert. She was a superb waitress. We enjoyed our food. It was really good. We will be back.
The Veranda is always a great experience. We were greeted with friendly faces and a beautiful view. Our server, Alexis, was amazing. She took our orders and had the drinks and meals our promptly. The Wellington Benedict is our go-to favorite. Today, I had the Belgian Waffle and it definitely hit the spot. The Bloody Mary’s were delicious and refreshing. My wife and I have celebrated our anniversary at The Veranda three years in a row now. The brunch is fantastic. We will be back soon.
We are regulars here and the last few times we have been have not been impressive. They seem to have adequate staff, but they’re disorganized and the service is slow. We had a reservation and showed up on time and waited about 15 min past our reservation to be seated. It took our server quite a while to greet us. The food tasted fine, but I had to ask multiple times to have my drinks refilled. It took the server quite a while to bring us our check and once we paid even longer to bring our card back. Overall it took over two hours to have a meal with no appetizer or desserts, and while I’m not looking for a quick dining experience, it seemed excessively long for what we had.
Unbelievably great, one of the best if not the best breakfast restaurant in the whole area. Totally baffled why more people don’t come here.
My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch at the Veranda. Knowing what I know now, I would suggest requesting a table near a ceiling fan, as it was a very hot day (92) and we were placed at a table that ended up having no air circulation. The service is above par, as is the food and plating. And you can't beat the location on the veranda, overlooking a beautiful lake.
I love this place! It’s beautiful and the food is amazing!
