The West End
Love the ambience, the special cocktails and the menu
Good food but not what expected. Service was excellent.
One newly hired wait staff for an entire section.
First time visitors. Fabulous golden beets, monkfish in a rustic sauce, salmon and pleasant desserts. Our server Dan did a great job explaining the various dishes. Would love to eat there again.
Food and service were awesome! Great appetizers and delicious main courses! Enjoyed the French 25 and Perfect Manhattan too!
Great dinner for elevated dining on the Cape
The food was great. Our service was outstanding. Loved the tater and the fritter appetizers. Sooo delicious. Will definitely be adding this to our rotation of places to dine out
Our waiter Josh was an absolute delight! Food was wonderful and service was on point. Will definitely be back.
The best pork tenderloin I've ever had. It was soft juicy and melts in your mouth.
The sage maple fritters were delicious. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
The lobster roll was very good too.
Very disappointed, looked decent but looks can be deceiving. Arrived right on time for a reservation and waited for a table but settled for the bar being hungry as heck after playing ball all day. I ordered a small Caesar and a bacon cheese burger. Salad came on time and was good, not super but good. Then after waiting for 45 minutes I asked about my burger and in another 10 minutes there it was. It was low average as far as burgers go. Bartender was good but I think the whole staff was in the weeds due to a surge of concert goers.
The service, food and ambiance was outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Hyannis MA or on Cape Cod.
Great food and service. Enjoyed the unique dessert, blueberry cheese cake in mason jar with a ginger crust.
We sat at the bar and Chris the bartender was friendly , efficient and knowledgeable about the menu . We shared the Charcuterie board which was wonderful and just enough for two without spoiling our appetites , My wife had the salmon and it was nicely presented and very tasty and I had the Korean short ribs a great entre choice well prepared and delicious . Blaine , the owner came over to chat as we are frequent diners at the West End but I find that he and/or his wife make the effort to speak to all their customers. A nice touch ! Being as this location was the old storied , Paddock, they had big shoes to fill and have exceeded to do so , with an updated and varied menu sure to please anyone's palate the West End is a winner.
Food and drinks were excellent! We sat outside (for safety) while they had a Tea Dance going on inside, in advance of the Melissa Etheridge concert scheduled to go on next door at the Melody Tent that night. The Tea Dance was fairly boisterous and the music was energetic when the doors opened to allow wait staff in/out. They let us keep our car aprked in their lot while we attended the concert next door. Very helpful! We have dined here in the past, when it was much quieter and more subdued, and had a very enjoyable meal then as well.
Excellent service, delicious food & cocktails. What more do you need?! :)
Wait staff fabulous. Meghan was the best ever.
Ordered the Halibut, very tasty dish however fish tasted more like swordfish and was a little mushy. Also food was warm not hot which was disappointing. No fault on wait staff as they were running all eve to try to keep up with everyone’s demands.
Crem brûlée was nicely caramelised
but custard tasted whisked and not formed.
Would return but would not order either dish.
Seats were very narrow in bar area and uncomfortable. Would request another area next visit. Music very loud from Dance in back room.
Swordfish was excellent! Service was fantastic! Drinks were replaced efficiently! Crime brûlée was excellent as were the espresso martinis!
To quote Arnold- "I'll be back"
Joshua was our server, he was awesome very knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was very disappointing -
the stuffed clams had barely a hint of clams.
The Caesar salad was 90% kale and barely any romaine
The lobster salad topper for $28 was a mere tablespoonful -
not worth the price of anything.
Started our meal with Caesar salads and truffle tots. The salads were good, and the truffle tots were excellent. For the main course we had halibut, and the wagyu beef house hamburger. The halibut was good. However the hamburger, for $22, was overcooked and appeared to have sat too long on the warming tray. It was extremely dry, and when we asked for mayonnaise they said they did not offer any. Also the meals took a very long time to come out.
While I would give this restaurant a second chance, due to the problems with finding help in the kitchen this summer, they need to get something as simple as a hamburger right particularly if you're going to charge so much for it.
Food was okay but overpriced and small portions. Wouldn’t go again except for Sunday Brunch for the live jazz.
I wanted to check out the restaurant after it was bought by Blaine Toedt and his wife. They have done a remarkable job in hiring, updating the menu and having a nice wine list. My friend and I had a great waitress, Ashley, who was very attentive and nice. We both had the yummy lobster rolls with the parmesan covered tater tots. The Cape is a place where you can find many lobster rolls but these are different. I had the oh so wonderful blueberry cheesecake and my friend, the flan. They had fresh grapefruit juice (which is VERY rare at restaurants) so I had this with vodka & cranberry and was a happy girl.
Everything from start to finish was excellent…service, food quality and taste, ambiance, manager came over a few times to see how things were going…I’ll be returning when we go to the Cape again
Fabulous four course dinner here last night! The halibut crudo was breathtaking. Cotes du Rhone went beautifully with the steak entree. Bartender was kind to service the table with a friendly bit of amaro. Our server Katelyn was phenomenal and the perfect waitress for our evening!
We had a table reserved outside under the tent. It was fine. If we had an option we would have preferred inside it was very humid. Our waiter was very entertaining and nice. We were a table of 6. My friend ordered the swordfish but she was given halibut. Due to the fact we were going to a concert next door we didn’t have time to change it. But we were not offered the option. They should have taken it off the bill since it wasn’t what she ordered. My daughter had swordfish and didn’t feel well about 40 minutes later and a day later still feeling sick. I called and the owner said it wasn’t his food. Not quite sure what made her sick but she was perfectly fine before dinner.
A+++ Ideal setting for pre concert drinks & dinner. Everything from start to finish was fabulous. Attentive staff, excellent food and drink highly recommend!
We had. Dinner before a concert next door! Food was great! Worked out well with our plans!
Wonderful meal, cocktails and service!
Everything was excelllent!!!
very overpriced for what was served, small portions
Excellent meal...wonderful service
The West End has been on my list of restaurants to go to and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere is wonderful, cozy, eclectic, unique and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Service was perfect. I didn’t feel rushed at all which was a nice change. Food was amazing!! Drinks were delicious!! A must do in Hyannis. We’ll be back!
Was seated outside after making a reservation. Not bad but wasn’t given an option.
I would definitely recommend the West End. The food was fresh and delicious. The waitstaff were excellent and frequently checked in with us to ask if we needed anything . Highly recommend this venue!
Celebrated our wedding anniversary with family. We all raved about how excellent our meals were! I had the swordfish and it was soooo tasty! Our server was also wonderful too. A great time enjoyed by all!
Wonderful service. Amazing food. We will definitely return
The service was outstanding, our water was one of the best we ever experienced! Excellent tater tots and the filet was cooked to perfection! The crime brûlée was very good except over done on top, other than that awesome! Thanks so much especially to the chef and waiter!
Pet peeve of mine is a restaurant insisting customer ordering entire meal at once, to experience app and salad course arriving same time, and then entree arriving before salad course completed. App and salad dishes remained on table throughout entree course. Drinks took forever to serve. Not an enjoyable experience
Our waiter Josh was not only entertaining, he was prompt, helpful and kept us on track to make it to the show right on time. The food was delicious and the crafted cocktails a real treat. We will be back and not just because we have tickets to a show at the tent but because the abidance and food are worth the 30min drive!
Overall love the experience, ambiance and service. A few inconsistencies with the food. Eggs under done, toast was either burnt or not toasted at all, overly burnt edges on the Dutch baby, special requests ie. berries on the side, not done. That being said, maple sage fritters were delish, amazing hollandaise, and delicious cocktails!
