The West End
The appetizers: brussel sprouts and shrimp -> both excellent.
Excellent Mai Tai, Cosmo, and Old Fashioned (3 people!)
Excellent steak, salmon, and chicken.
The food was good, service was good, we had a chance to meet the owners and they were very nice people to talk with and certainly appreciate their customers.
I came in on Sunday and they had live jazz, it was an absolute fantasy. Their brunch menu is incredibly complete and the food was delicious. My friends ordered a birthday cake for me and the musicians even started playing the happy birthday song. This is a restaurant that I have to for sure come back to!
I’m glad we went, but my food was far from hot. Waitress forgot to ask me how I like my fried eggs and I forgot to mention. She was fine about redoing them.
Mai Tai was great! All of the staff were very nice and Consistently friendly which is nice.
Scallops were overcooked and lobster shells found in risotto.
I have a severe food allergy and they brought me the wrong salad....with my allergen in it. Was very unnerving but the server quickly realized the mistake and fixed it
Good service, good ambiance and made sure to respect both the fact that COVID restrictions were needed and that it was a cold night. Food and value, unfortunately, did not match expectations.
Food and service was excellent. Sat outside in their tent on a chilly night but they had heaters and it was very comfortable.
We sat outdoors in the garden on Saturday evening for a fabulous dinner with friends. The truffle tots, curry cauliflower and New England Clam Chowder flatbread were fantastic! I had the salmon which was (unfortunately) a little bit over done and the sauce it was served with was not my favorite, but the scallops, the veggie burger and the bolognese were all amazing! We finished with a delicious chocolate cheese cake and an espresso martini that was perfect. Thank you! Service was awesome, beautiful atmosphere, drinks were excellent. We can't wait to go back!
Great ambiance. The band (at brunch) should be pushed back further though as it was fairly noisy. Food and service are always excellent here.
Great food and staff. Outside area was very nice.
Unpretentious great food with quality ingredients turned into wonderful flavors. If in the Hyannis area, put West End on your short list.
The service was wonderful! The food was delicious. Would go back again!
We came here Friday night, my husband’s actual birthday. The food was fantastic, so were the drinks! I had the buttermilk fried chicken and that was the absolute most delicious dish I’ve had in a while! I love that the chicken is boneless, I prefer that the chicken be boneless. It was so crispy and juicy, the potatoes were amazing, the beans were perfectly cooked! The fried cauliflower appetizer was amazing too...it had a hint of curry and was served with a tzaziki that gave a creamy and dreamy flavor! The hostesses out front were the BEST! My grandmother in law is elderly and they were so sweet and patient in helping us get her situated! So polite, so kind and so accommodating, these ladies were the best! Our server was great as well! She was very efficient and very polite! I do think they need more kitchen staff, as the food took a tad long to get out and my grandmother, needing to eat within 120 minutes of taking her medication was getting restless. The outside was full and the other servers who weren’t assigned to our table didn’t give us the time of day. There was a guy (he was a young man with curly-ish hair) who was servicing the inside who was assigned to the tables around us, but not us, and I called to ask him for water and he literally looked at me and carried on because we weren’t his table and he knew he wouldn’t make a tip off of us. Also, the busser bringing the food out was a bit rude and flippant. She basically dropped the food and left without saying a word. She brought our cauliflower to the wrong table and I had to call out to her that the cauliflower was ours. All in all, I’ll be back. Maybe with the transition they have to make because of the covid, they’re still getting into the groove, but the food and drinks and other staff were fantastic.
Our party of four all enjoyed delicious generous servings of swordfish. The Brussels sprouts and truffle tater tots, also generous portions, were excellent,
Nice ambience and lighting, tables appropriately spaced. Excellent service
We had an early dinner with two young kids (1 and 3) outside. Waitstaff was very friendly and safe during pandemic times, everyone was wearing masks and I saw the staff sanitizing the empty tables outside again and again in anticipation for guests. 5:30 - 6 pm was quiet and it picked up as the night went on. The food was quite good though the kids Mac and cheese definitely seemed to have come from a box of Kraft Mac and cheese with extra butter but our 1 year old loved it.
How much longer will outdoor dining
last ? You had better hurry because outdoor dining at the West End will soon end. The ambiance on the Terrace is wonderful with jazz on Wednesday nights . The food is wonderful and the service , especially Fernando , is great and personal.
Very good experience all around, would definitely recommend. Excellent top shelf whiskey, scotch, & gin
We came to the west end for brunch to celebrate a birthday, and had a great time. The food was delicious, we loved the jazz band, the patio was beautiful and we felt very safe! We’d love to go back again for brunch and try the dinner menu sometime too!
We had such a wonderful time here! We sat outside at their patio which was lovely, and the heaters kept us perfectly warm. The service was really great.
The food was delicious as well--we loved the Tater Tots and the Brussel Sprouts. The Seared Scallops were a bit bland and not much lobster in the risotto. We highly recommend the Cinnamon Toast Creme Brulee for desert which was incredible!
Safe feeling outside dining. Will go again when in town.
Food was good but menu didn’t have many options and service was horrible.
Great food, awesome ambiance and great service!
Delicious food, get the short ribs! Lovely heated patio area and a really great menu. Great service.
The lobster escargot appetizer was a little dry. However, the Salmon, and Short ribs, were DELISH!!
Food way way overpriced. Ordered tuna and avocado tower as appetizer and the Ava ado was brown!
Food was delicious. Disappointing that the other half of our party got their food an hour after we did when they were supposedly put in at the same time. Waited an hour for food when we were the only table in the dining room. Great food but disappointing
Wonderful food and service. I had the fried chicken which was out of this world and would go back for.
We weren’t impressed by the food. Outdoor seating area was beautiful. Lots of black food flies which isn’t a good sign.
Best short ribs I have ever had, everything about this restaurant is top class. The wait staff are so nice and amazing owners highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent service , Fernando our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful as well as friendly. The food is very well prepared and presented and dining al fresco is a pleasant experience. The management is attuned to customers requests as I had on previous occasions asked for a particular liquor which they didn't have, but on the most recent visit they did indeed have it .
By far the best restaurant on Cape Cod! Fantastic service, the decor was amazing and the food was a 12!
We felt like we were in a high end Boston or NYC restaurant. Can’t say enough about this restaurant, go and experience it!
Food was wonderful! Server Dan was very attentive. Would definitely go back. The patio is gorgeous!
I would highly recommend eating at the West End, it is a family favorite. Atmosphere, food, and service are all exceptional. It's good for date night, drinks, family night out (our toddler loves the kids meals!), And for a nice meal to gather with friends or family. You will not be disappointed.
Sat outside and everyone from the hostesses to the servers and bus people were nothing but attentive. Food was very good and I highly recommend this restaurant.
On vacation - first time to the Cape. We were looking for a nice upscale dinner and we came across this wonderful restaurant in Open Table. I always read the reviews before choosing our restaurant and everything I read was 4-5 star and speaking of a wonderful experience. So, I was sold - made my reservation and WOW, what a great dinner. The service was great, attentive, friendly and helpful with info not only on the menu but with insight on the Cape.
We started with the Green Fried Tomatoes and Burrata. Great combo - both were presented beautifully and a good plate to share .
I had the Pan Roasted Halibut
, lobster mashed potato, grilled asparagus & bacon jam .I still can’t get over how great the Lobster Mash tasted and the bacon jam was excellent with the seared Halibut. It was a great Entree and highly recommend it !
Well desert is a must when fine dining so we saved room to be drawn into something delicate and unique. And I wasn’t disappointed with the beautifully presented White Chocolate Cheesecake with Coconut Shavings. OMG !
And to close the evening I had an old favorite- Irish Coffee and again I was surprised- traditionally its served with a heavy cream topping but not here. It looked like just black coffee but no, it had just the right amount of Agave sweetener to make it the best Irish Coffee I have ever had. Book your reservation today - you won’t be disappointed!
Fantastic food and great cocktails. Five of us dined outside in the lovely tent. We were all pleased with our meals. The grilled tenderloin was delicious and the fish was fresh and nicely prepared. Large portions. Great dessert. Will go again in the fall bc the tent has heaters.
Food is top notch and the owners and staff
Wonderful setting with food and service to match
Our server, Fernando , was really professional but remained friendly and helpful. The food is well prepared as well as nicely presented . A fine dining experience on Cape Cod !!
