The Western Door Steakhouse-Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino
Outstanding service and excellent food. Atmosphere is nice and quiet so you can have a great, romantic conversation with your spouse. Nice and airy with the windows. Staff very concerned that you are comfortable, service to your satisfaction, and food to your liking.
Quality, service, ambiance, all top notch. This is a 5 star restaurant. I had the prime rib and crab leg special and it was superb. The steak cut with a butter knife. My lady had the Caesar salad and lobster tail and the salad was huge and the lobster tail succulent. Amanda, our server was knowledgeable and very pleasant. I recommend Western Door to anyone. Worth the money.
Fantastic service and food. Enjoyed the entire experience. Our server Joe went out of his way to make us welcome.
Made reservations online and requested table near fireplace. They seated us right in front of fireplace ! Too bad it was broken - no flames - a little disappointing
Excellent service even though they were very busy due to other restaurants being closed and shortage of staff due to the weather.
Quality of food, as always was excellent.
The waiter Peter is the best. He is very kind and attentive to your needs. We always enjoy when he is there for us. The food is always top notch. Definetly worth the trip.
Really disappointed in the entire dining experience. From the time we arrrived service was extremely slow till we left 2.5 hours later. Went 25 minutes without any server coming to our table. Restaurant was not even busy. Multiple items ordered were out of stock. Had to send Lamb back, way overcooked then we were told out of Lamb. Strip steak with Oscar was cold. Never offered any coffee or desert as we felt being last patrons they just wanted us to leave..
but then took another 10 minutes to just check us out.
Service here is always exceptional. Our appetizers were shrimp cocktail and coconut shrimp, both shrimps were large and great tasting. The steak was cooked to perfection, the only thing wrong with our meal was I ordered king crab legs ( which i have had from Alaska) and they were the size of snow crab. They were still very good !
Everything was perfect....I had surf and turf.....the filet mignon melted in my mouth!
The servers were so pleasant and friendly.....very professional, yet personally attention at it's finest.
Came in for Valentines Day and they did not disappoint! Fantastic steaks cooked to perfection! The bread assortment and three butters (different flavors) that came before the meal almost ruined my dinner because it was so good. Try the loaded baked potato. It's enormous. The price is a little high for this area, but the food made up for it.
Everything was wonderful! The food was perfect and the servings were huge! The staff was very friendly and prompt.
The food and service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the area
Burned steak is no fun to eat for that price. Ruined the night
Your servers were very kind and very attentive. They read my reservations and brought out a celebration 40th birthday dessert for my husband with a candle. Food was amazing and they made sure we cut into it right away to make sure it was cooked to our liking.
Excellent dinner and service. Expectations met. Wish to return in the future
Our group had scallops (delicious), coconut shrimp and French onion soup (delicious), and filet mignon (good). The filet was cooked perfectly, but could of had a bit more flavor. The sweet potato and baked potato were each big enough to share and mouth watering. The service was very good and the ambience was great. We had a nice dinner!!!
Overall we had a good meal. The veal special was very tough to chew and they did not have bone in rib eye which could have been communicated at the time we sat down, rather we were seated given the menu and as we ordered we were told it was not available. Nice atmosphere, service was good and food presentation was nice.
Awesome food, huge portions, friendly staff, very attentive
The place is fantastic. Always has been. The service and food are the best in the area. We always look forward to a night at the Western Door.
We went here for our anniversary, which was not recognized by the staff after noting it on our reservation. Very discouraged by the lack of dress code as customers were allowed to wear anything, including ball hats for dinner.
I enjoy the bread with the different butters to start. To my steak which is cooked perfect. To the fantasy desserts.
Management needs to staff properly. They had tables full but not enough waiting staff. Noise was loud as large groups with many children this evening. Food was outstanding as usual
Heard a lot of noise from the service station. The drink I ordered had Midori in it- yet it was red. I was told there was no bartender on duty. I also ordered it frozen. It had an inch of liquid on the bottom and foam for the rest of the drink. It was not blended properly.
The clams casino were crunchy, as was the asparagus. My Oscar added to my steak had a peculiar taste. The steak, bread, butters and the server were excellent. The noise in the service station was awful. Too much talking, swearing, laughing and banging.
We're used to the upscale, impeccable service at The Western Door at the Seneca Casino, Niagara Falls. We will not return to this one.
Absolutely delicious. everything was prepared perfectly. Great service and timing of courses.
The Service by Peter and Tammy was wonderful. Attentive without being pushy.
The food was excellent from the wedge salad that we split to the french onion soup/seafood chowder to the strip steak and porterhouse, cooked as requested.......medium RARE. The wine (a Meritage) went very well with the steak dinners. We look forward to returning to the Steakhouse again.
great food and great service, great atmosphere. A good value
My wife and I ordered a few appetizers before a concert, sat right at 5 and everything was very good except our meat, cheese and veggie board, it only had cheese, crackers and mustard. our waitress was pleasant but did not come back to check. Whoever sent the order out from the kitchen should have know better.
We celebrated our 50th anniversary at The Western Door Steakhouse and couldn’t have gotten a better meal anywhere else! Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the salads were huge and delicious, as well as everything else! The bread basket is always filled with a variety of fresh breads and the assortment of butters very different and so good!
We go here every year to celebrate our anniversary we always have an amazing meal the service was very fast and very courteous the food was very fresh and hot tasted delicious because I told him it was our anniversary they gave us a wonderful free dessert which was chocolate raspberry cake... we love to spoil ourselves once a year so it's worth the expense.
We always enjoy a great meal and great service at the Western Door.
The best steak I have had in a long time made just as I ordered
Staff was fantastic and our food was great. Dinner began with a bread basket sporting cranberry orange scones, pretzel bread, zucchini pesto bread, a cheesy onion focaccia, and Italian bread accompanied by butter, honey spice butter, and sun-dried tomato butter. We had coconut shrimp as an appetizer, which is served with a pina colada sauce (too sweet for my tastes) and a mango salsa. The shrimp were large and very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed them without either sauce. The restaurant is very good about providing an extra plate and allowing you to share your entree and sides - and dessert - and I highly recommend you do so, as the portions are enormous. We split a 12-Oz filet mignon (done perfectly), the largest baked potato I’ve ever seen, and an equally-huge, perfectly-dressed chopped salad. After dinner we enjoyed a nice hot cup of coffee and nibbled at a dessert big enough to feed 4 - a chocolate peanut butter brownie served with brûléed bananas, ice cream, whipped cream, caramel sauce and nuts. There was no way for just two people to finish it after such a bountiful meal. Given the size of the meal, we both felt the price was reasonable - it came to less than $100 before the tip. Will definitely return!
We had a show to go to and we were served quickly and the food was great
The staff was very welcoming and efficient! The food wonderful and the serving sizes were very generous.
Steaks were good and cooked to our liking. Service was good. Tables were spaced nicely to give privacy. Expensive with Ala Carte menu, but we knew that before we went. Overall an enjoyable evening.
Very busy, which is why we had a 15 minute wait. Service was ok. Seating was by kitchen. Extremely noisy. Ordered blt salad to share and delmonico steak special. Waitress brought salad on one plate with a small side plate. It wasn’t split on two plates as requested. Steak was done as ordered. Flavorful but it was mostly fat. There was barely 30% meat and the rest was fat. They offered a replacement which I accepted. I took it home. We frequently eat here and majority of the time everything is excellent.
Upon arriving, we checked in with the host with a 730pm reservation. We were told there was another couple "ahead of us" and to sit at the bar. At 8pm, I went back to the host to inquire about our table. I was under the impression that making a reservation meant that we had a reservation. Apparently, at this restaurant, a reservation is treated as a call ahead wait list? The service was ok. Food was amazing.
We always have a great meal there! Service and atmosphere are great!
Usually, yes. But Saturday the service was extremely slow. It took over and hour n half. And our waiter kept going back to the table next us, but not our table. Ordered my filet medium, and it came out well done. Usually the bring u bread n go over the butters and breads and did not do that.
Service was great but everything else was not so great! Very expensive and just sub-par food. The salad was boring. I got a filet which was originally over-cooked. They took it back and brought me back another which was cooked better but the outside of the steak was charred too much. The char overtakes the taste of the steak. My husbands steak was the same. For $40 steak I expected much more. They did give me a free dessert for my trouble which was nice. I honestly would never go back.
I enjoyed the mid week ambiance of the less frantic setting.
