    Unfortunately, the experience at the drawing room was very unpleasant. The maitre d’ made no preparations for our arrival. Our table wasn’t clean. Two used champagne glasses, coasters and used napkins remained on the table. The first waitress cleared the glasses and left the dirty coaster and napkins. The table was never swiped from the previous user in the height of cold and flu season. (Cocktail tea) The scones were standard, the preserve likewise. The cocktail was delicious and attractive. The tea not to my liking. The taste of chamomile was heavy diluted by the water Water:tea ratio was terribly executed. The second waiter messed up a simple order of still bottled water. However, was apologetic on his arrival and confessed he had forgotten the order. The room, wasn’t well clean, noise of pop music from a party floated into the room therefore the ambient was polluted by that and extremely loud chatter from the adjacent table. The aesthetic of the main hallway was festive, very delightful and not affected by the pop music.

    Cocktail afternoon tea with a visitor from US. We both enjoyed it. The service was very good (by a lady with long hair, no glasses). Atmosphere was good - it was quiet enough for conversation. It was a nice experience.

    Afternoon tea: Frozen Jam and clotted cream needed replacement. Lobster linguine also ordered but was tasteless. Service needed repeated prompting and chasing. Quite expensive for a substandard product. Room however is lovely with low sound levels.

    One of the best afternoon tea experiences I’ve had in London. The sandwiches were fresh, the scones delicious and most importantly the service was impeccable!
