A great little gem - a cut above the trendy bars it jostled with for attention in Crosby and Waterloo. A very varied range of small plates available to choose from and dozens of wines by the glass. The Korean style cauliflour was a real stand out and the Argentine Tannat was spot on with the beef sliders. Good knowledge on the cocktails too, including some house specialities. Music was a bit 'out there' for me, but I may no longer be with it enough to make a good judgement here. Go for a table upstairs in the nautically themed restaurant. Will be sure to return.

Was left at the front door by the host who looked at us waiting and then proceeded to walk past and stand around the bar area. He then decided to come over when a colleague asked if we needed help. Tables too close together for social distancing and partners chair kept getting knocked into we were that close. I have been before and loved it but this really put me off. Felt so unwelcome there so we left pretty quickly.

Excellent food, great selection of small plates. Beef, scallops, and cauliflower all outstanding. Service excellent. Will definitely be back.

Went to the work shop for a date night and was completely let down by the service of the food. My main and one side dish from my partners meal were served at the same time however we had to wait over 15 minutes for the other main and side dish meaning the first two dishes were completely cold. None of the staff come to ask how the food was, we were just completely ignored.

Quite possibly the worst dining experience I have ever encountered. On arrival we were told that there were only two dishes available- no starters, no desserts, just one meat dish and one vegetarian dish.

We had booked in advance so the restaurant had our contact information. Despite this, no attempt was made to contact us in advance, resulting in us traveling over 30 minutes for the most limited dining choice ever!

When were seated we found that the restaurant was really cold. Eventually a heater was located, switched on and placed directly in the way of diners going to the toilet, causing people to have to step over the heater.

The food was very tasty, but when the bill came it was incorrect and had to be revisited three times before it was presented correctly. We had been charged for drinks served to another table. No apology was forthcoming

My advice would be to avoid The Workshop. The whole experience was very disappointing.

Friendly cozy very tasty simple dishes done with a twist, a perfect bolt hole away from the new normal outside and the cocktails are to die for 😀can personally recommend the‘Dirty Martini’ I’m sure you won’t be disappointed if you try TWS 👍

Another lovely meal, felt really festive though quiet. Not a single duff dish and excellent cocktails.

Knowledgeable staff on menu and drinks, friendly and prompt service!
Nice chilled atmosphere. Food was delicious! An great for veggie or vegans too. Potion size good.
Recommend for couples or larger parties. Only issue was we were asked to finish twice as only had table for hour an half but we were offered a table on their terrace which was a lovely end to the evening all cozy under a heater

Excellent service. Had a selection of small plates to make a tapas type of meal. Scallops fantastic. Smoked haddock iin chilli flakes superb.

Outstanding new festive menu which the guys here have obviously worked really hard on putting together. Small plates offered, and it isn’t cheap, but the ingredients used are all absolute top quality and the final dishes are superb. Wine list is varied and excellent. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend. We are blessed to have a place as good as this on our doorstep, so please support local!

Amazing quality, service, and atmosphere as ever. The food is beautiful (we had the Sunday roast), and it is paired with an extensive wine list which are all available by the glass, carafe, or bottle...not something you experience everywhere!

This is our third visit to The Workshop. The meals are sold in Small plates although each time my husband had his food finished before mine arrived. On our most recent visit I ordered ox cheek, which was beautiful with a lovely lush gravy. It then took at least 15-20 minutes before I was given my side of roast potatoes. Very hard to eat dry potatoes. Then after another wait, I asked and eventually was given a plate of sprouts to eat. Didn’t enjoy the experience. Previously i gave the restaurant some understanding as they were busy, but on the night in question people all around me were given their food plates together. This restaurant will not be top of my list in future.

Phenomenal night out at the Workshop. Only regret is not having visited sooner. Food was cooked to perfection. Beautiful presentation. Amazing flavours. Honestly the best meal out in Liverpool since moving here 4 years ago!
The wine was just okay - but our fault for going with the house red and not selecting our own bottle.

It was great to have our first night out some where local with good food and wine. We felt safe while not being overwhelmed with the restrictions. Food really lovely and service excellent.

First visit to the WS and thought was outstanding welcoming staff and amazing food, staff also very knowledgable and passionate about the food they had on offer, when food arrived presentation & taste was top quality will defo be returning

Excellent service, food and dining experience. Loved the ambiance, great selection of background music.
Wine selection was fine and liked the Carafe option which meant we could have one red and one white without breaking the bank.

Vegan roast was lovely ! My partner had scallops said they were exceptional 5 stars

Lovely food - we had the vegetarian roast dinner which was amazing although I admit I was wondering about the butternut squash being the vegetarian option. It was really well cooked with spices with rest of the meal equally well cooked and flavoured. The service was good despite it being busy and the staff were lovely.

The food was AMAZING, as was the wine to accompany it. The service was brilliant, the staff were so nice and knowledgable about the food and wine. The pace has had a recent refurb and creates a really lovely atmosphere.

Food was absolutely gorgeous. It is quite expensive considering it is small plates, but it is all cooked fresh and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back

Fantastic fresh food with top quality ingredients.

Never been here before, we booked last minute for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint!!! The food was amazing, plenty of it too and the creme brûlée was unreal. Definitely will be booking again!

Food, service and atmosphere were amazing. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome. We felt safe as all safety measures were in place. Will definitely revisit.
