Overall a very nice experience. Had family lunch on a Sunday. Food was authentic, innovative and delicious. Good wine list with reasonable prices. Also the staff were careful die to Covid19 situation. Will definitely go again.
Had a lovely meal with friends for a special birthday.
Third time here now, the food and service is excellent, the decor is lovely as is the building. It has not been very busy on the times we’ve been but I if it was I’d score the ambience as excellent. Large portions and attentive staff.
The food was excellent and the service was first class. The decor is very stylish and ambience great.
Love atmosphere friendly staff really nice food thanks
The food was divine!!!
Very cold. No music greck . And very simple menu .
Great room, great service and very good food.
Fantastic evening, lovely restaurant and great staff
We enjoyed our meal they were very helpful and accommodating. The starters were a little on the small side as we were trying to share. The food itself was good but we found the octopus to be slightly too rich.
Lovely restaurant with excellent service, food and atmosphere. Wish we lived closer we would definitely be regulars.
Delicious food and drinks, nice ambience
Really excellent food in a lovely environment. I was there having lunch with my father and there was a business meeting happening on the table next to us - it felt perfect for both situations. Great restaurant.
Absolutely superb! A wet Monday lunchtime with everywhere still so quiet. Yet we were able to enjoy the surroundings and exemplary service at this find. The food was fantastic, some of the best we’ve had for such a long time. Definitely, definitely, definitely will be returning!
A lovely meal in a lovely restaurant. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, so knowledgeable and professional. The food was outstandingly good. If I’m in my super critical foodie mode, the starter of filo wrapped feta with honey 1) need more honey, 2) needed more kalonji seeds and 3) should have been fried in fresh oil, but ... it was salty sweet and good anyway! The moussaka main need one teaspoon more salt and twice as much meat but the cinnamon flavour and good use of nutmeg in the bechemal was very authentic and the pork with pasta was outstanding. These are only my minor critiques of otherwise very very good food.
We enjoyed ourselves, there were enough people in the restaurant, but not too many so we were not overcrowded. The service was good and friendly, we enjoyed the food.
Nice to go to somewhere there is a unique experience, hospitable, relaxed, comfortable seating, interesting decor, Variety of food and interesting presentation, well done
Lovely fresh food. Great service too and the atmosphere was warm.
We had been to Theion before and enjoyed their offerings. This was our first Sunday Lunch and was with friends. We all enjoyed the food. There was plenty to eat and it was busy which is good to see. Portions vary in size a bit so one can find that one's starter is really large. The Menu is relatively short - a good thing - and the choice of drinks should meet most demands. Seats are comfortable and it is not noisy.
Possibly the best restaurant in Guildford? If not then it's very very close!
Friendly, efficient service. Very tasty food, beautifully cooked. Really enjoyed my birthday meal.
Love this Restaurant and were out to Celebrate Christmas with family. My wife had Turkey which was amazing but unfortunately can’t say the same about the Lamb chops which were not quite up to usual high standard here as was a bit chewy in places, especially as we paid extra for it. Really enjoyed the Greek red wine recommendation and the deserts, the after dinner hot drinks are a treat ( I had a a delicious Cardamom hot choc which was unusual. ). Still one of my favourite Guildford restaurants.
Very good, will be back
The food I had was delicious, my friend had the moussaka which was a little dry but his other food was also delicious
The service was great
The music wasn’t great, it was authentic Greek food I’m sure there would have been some good Greek contemporary music to complement it rather than the hitch pitch we had
An interesting moment when the corner of the room became rather smokey due to a problem with the vents but luckily it was all quite safe just a little hazy!
Rating says it all
We really enjoyed our meal here. The only disappointment was the dessert menu!
First time at this restaurant. Lovely setting and ambience, service excellent and food amazing. Really authentic Greek food.
Food was excellent and great variety of appetisers and good selection of original, creative and traditional dishes. The shrimps were not good, but love the rest.
The place and ambience is superb, one of my favourites. Great service which always makes me come back.
Prices are little high, but at least food is very good.
We were very impressed with the ambience, service and especially the food! The set lunch menu had good options and all 4 of us found something we fancied and really enjoyed. I am definitely going back and will recommend to friends.
Very nice dining experience overall, just a bit pricey and main course menu quite limited.
Lovely evening. Small but varied menu. Fantastic and knowledgable, polite staff (our waitress was fab) and good wine selection. Ambience is spot on, welcome addition to Guildford town centre and I would highly recommend for all sorts of occasions from special evenings through to casual dinner with friends.
An excellent evening out. The staff were all brilliant and the food was superb
Speaks for itself by the amount of times I have been to eat there.
Try it and see for yourselves, you can’t keep me away from this place. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and helpful. Disabled and child friendly. 10 out of 10.
Very impressed with interior, ambience and friendly service and excited at the arrival of a modern Greek restaurant in Guildford. The food was very tasty but I would say home-cooking style and not as refined as the ‘modern’ Greek menu promises. We made the mistake of starting with olives and bread followed by a starter, then mains by which time I was defeated by the huge portions. I chose the octopus with split pea purée which sounded very delicate with its onion pearls but was filling enough to be a main course - I also felt that it was overpriced at £17 for something that tasted pretty much like (a very good) sausage and mash. I followed with the cockerel with orzo pasta which was probably a bad choice after the octopus as it was again a very hearty, filling dish - more pasta than cockerel, and although I am quite happy to get stuck into chicken on the bone, it might have put some people off. My husband’s spinach pie starter on the other hand was excellent. For main course he had the pork stew, I think, which was good, hearty home -cooking. No room for pudding but coffee was great (even the decaf!). In brief: great if you’re starving, otherwise choose carefully as the portions are very generous which in theory is nice, but you end up feeling over-full and leaving a lot of food on your plate. I would definitely go again but would go easy on the ordering - friends have been several times and really enjoyed the food.
Nice staff and delicious food
A beautiful restaurant with tables nicely placed apart. Small menu but delicious food with great service. Plenty of attention and care for food and customers.
Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. One good thing about the restaurant is that it has a lift to take disabled people to the first floor. A place I will revisit.
An interesting modern take on Greek cuisine all the dishes we tried were delicious and had interesting flavourings. The house Greek wine was equally nice. Service was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
