Thunder Road Café is based in Dublin's Temple Bar. The themed restaurant has been serving American diner food for over 25 years. The restaurant bar offers a selection of live music on Friday nights, and an extensive drinks menu to match their colourful theme. Cocktails such as a Woo Woo and Strawberry Daiquiri have made it into the specials section. Food is served throughout the week and diners can enjoy a selection of traditional diner dishes with a European twist. A chosen few to mention from the menu are Buffalo chicken wings, an extensive Burger selection, as well as a choice of Steaks.

We are now taking bookings for indoor dining only. Please keep in mind that during busy periods you must order a main course per person when you are dining here.
Otherwise, our terrace area is open only for walk-ins everyday for a maximum of 4 people per table.

Everything was good I had 4 small kids with me and our server was super nice , just one little thing I had a small baby and when I asked the lady at the counter was there a baby changer she kind of dismissed me and told me no? And then another lady server promptly jump in and said there was and gave me directions to it and all it’s just the little thing and this definitely stood out to me especially when you have small children!

Steak meat in sandwich smelt funny and I was unable to eat more then two bites. When paying the lady rushed myself and my friend to pay and afterwards I realised she had overcharged me 20€ for a meal that we did not receive. I had to then go back and request a refund which was very annoying to do

Promptly seated.. Service staff were excellent. Thunder Road chicken wings with BBQ sauce was lovely… but a single quarter of celery stick..?? Not getting that. Guys with me enjoyed their main course, I ordered the sirloin steak medium well… That same steak touched the depths of hell it was so well done. I didn’t complain, cos we needed to get on the road. Ambience was great.. and again staff were super.. Get the steaks right though.. for the price of them.

We had a lovely night last night. Our server (sorry, not sure of her name) was excellent. Food was lovely and we asks to hold main for ten mins after starter and was told no problem just to let them know when we were ready. Cocktails was amazing. Would definitely go back again

Staff and food as always the best out there,our waitress was such an amazing woman,I didn’t get her name but she was lovely and made sure we had a great experience,I even gave her a tip because she just really deserved it :)
