Thyme Kitchen & Craft Beer
Food and ambiance are superior.
Wait staff completely uninterested, such a shame. Prices are also a bit inflated for Peoria, it’s not Chicago.
We were glad we made reservations and were promptly seated. The restaurant soon filled but our server was pleasant and working hard to keep up. We got our drink order and appetizer order placed and it was delivered as promptly as could be expected. Unfortunately the drink my husband ordered was wrong and the server shrugged it off. It was one my husband liked as well so he drank it anyway. The fried cauliflower appetizer was hot and had delicious flavor. Our meals arrived in a timely manner and we dug in. My husband got the pork chops and they were delicious!! Good thing cause he ended up sharing some of his meal with me since mine was not cooked. I got the roasted celery root dish and I couldn't even cut through it! I let the server know and he let the manager know. We never saw the manager and our meal wasn't even comp'ed. Very disappointing experience for a dish I couldn't eat and the wrong drink. We like the ambiance and are patient and understanding as staff are working so hard to serve everyone. But an apology instead of a shoulder shrug would have been appreciated.
For an inexpensive restaurant the food was very good, service smooth and pleasant and the interior nice with some outdoor seating available. Would definitely visit again.
Good food. Nice waitress, but way understaffed. Get that in today’s economy but no manager was visible, offering anything fir wait etc.
Also doors left open and flies everywhere inside.
Killer bar with tons of bourbons!
All diners reported food was not hot, barely warm
Ran out of green beans, few other choices. Brussels sprouts raw and hard
Food was not favorably flavorful. Only average to below. Not great
Service was very friendly. Not really attentive. Dropped off food and did not come back for a long time. When finished, a long time before he came back. He was attentive to clearing the tables nearby, but not as much to us.
Always a great meal!
My shrimp and grits was great. They have good unique dishes. Beer selection was great.
Love this place! Great, friendly waitress too! Best chicken!
Love the atmosphere of Thyme. We were seated by a fireplace of candles which was lovely. After yummy cocktails we enjoyed our meals of glazed salmon and the tuna poke bowl—so much tuna! Both meals were delicious. Our server, Gino, was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. A great experience.
One of my favorite restaurants which is why I chose brunch here for my Mom’s birthday. Normally I give Thyme 5 stars but Sunday brunch wasn’t as good as usual. The biscuits for the biscuits & gravy were burnt, service was incredibly slow (but the waitress was super nice) and the greeting when we first walked in was less than friendly. Things were “off” for sure and it was very disappointing- especially for my Mom’s birthday 😢
Great cocktails, huge beer menu, poor wine list. Food menu looks great, but the actual food quality was not so great. Soggy fries, soggy calamari, overcooked and over greasy chicken. Quality of food has declined.
Our waiter was really nice. The atmosphere was great. The beer and food were both really good. Overall fantastic experience
Dinner before a concert. The restaurant was very busy . Service by Nicole was excellent, food was excellent. My only knock was our Martinis were so-so. Otherwise, everything was great and we want to go back sometime when it’s not so busy
Host was welcoming but that was it for true customer service. Waiter never introduced himself, in fact, we felt like we were bothering him. No engagement there.
eclectic but limited menu, very loud, waited over 30 min for our apps. When we got them, they sat for 5 min before we were given plates & utensils, etc.
Food was ok, nothing special but the bacon jam and smoked wings owe an honorable mention.
The food was phenomenal, as were the drinks. As someone with food allergies, they easily accommodated my needs and it was delicious. Our server was less than thrilled to be there, and walked by us several times to wait on people that arrived after us. That was disappointing.
This restaurant did not answer their phone....thinking they may be closing down.
Husband and I were very excited to eat here as it was our 20th Anniversary. The hostess knew this and moved us to a table towards the back, which was nice of her. Our waitress acted rushed, put out the entire time. As if she did not want to be bothered by us. When asked for recommendations between 3 different menu items, she had a look on her face and said, “I’m out of duck, and the other 2 items are “good” in a sour faced, unbelievable face. She brought us down with her. Horrible representation of this restaurant that has a unique menu and great choices of beverages. We drove all of the way from Bloomington for our celebration. We also asked about dessert and it honestly felt like she would explode if we chose to have one. We then decided to drive back to Bloomington to have dessert and a glass of wine, which was served to us from a kind, generous, smiling server, who gave us our dessert for free and kept telling us, “Happy Anniversary!” Great location, menu but the server can ruin all for you and did.
Great night with my daughter and wife, the meal was excellent, prime rib was great, the sides the cream corn was real sweet, did not eat. My daughter burger was great, she loves this place. My wife pork chop was also delicious, because I took the leftovers for lunch today.. our waitress was great!! Will be back soon
Beautiful surroundings. Good food and beer. Service was outstanding.
Great brunch spot
Flies, flies, flies all over the inside of the restaurant. The restaurant had the outside doors wide open allowing tons of flies to come inside. They were all over our food, other customers, and just a general annoyance. Won’t return in the summer.
Food was outstanding, service great as well. A little loud.
A bit loud, good food, a bit expensive
Not our first time here by any means and normally an excellent option, but service was lacking on Father's Day. Appeared to have plenty of help, but think we were at a table that wasn't assigned. Sat 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Never really checked on us. First round of drinks came about the same time as our food. Just not the experience we were hoping for. Also had no idea how to redeem our OpenTable reward...so that went unused.
Ambiance is great. Food was great. Service was poor at first. My son asked the bartender who was to wait on us since no one came. The bartender ended up as our server and she was great. It’s very dark where the hostess sat us and we had to use the flashlight from our phones to see the menu.
FANTASTIC craft beer selection, mostly Midwestern breweries. And if you like Bourbon, I think there were over 200 options listed. Better yet, the food is delicious with an out-of-the box spin (e.g. blueberry ketchup) on familiar standards. Large portions help substantiate the slightly elevated prices. Definitely will go here again!
Could use more meal choices for lunch. Food was just OK, nothing to write home about. Service was excellent, and liked option of din8ng in or outside. Plus was having a parking lot so did not have to worry about street parking.
Great food, great service, but very loud and crowded would recommend spreading out the tables and turning the music down just a tad.
It was the best place we have eaten at in a long time.
Fantastic food. Great service. I really enjoy this restaurant.
Our server was fantastic and the food was marvelous.
This place doesn’t disappoint, no matter the occasion for the visit or the time of day.
We have been to Thyme many times and the experience has always been great. This was not one of those times. The restaurant was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation. There are not as many food options as there have been in the past and that was disappointing. The food was definitely not worth the price we paid. We also waited an exceptionally long time for our main dishes. I felt so bad for our waiter because he kept giving us the “I’m so sorry it is taking this long” look. When our food did finally come out it was luke warm and the fries were so salty we couldn’t eat most of them. I told the waiter it was good because we are not complainers. This was not the Thyme that we know, so we’ll give you another chance some day.
Ambiance was nice, food options were cool. Experienced a bit of rudeness from the bartender and server. Food was luke warm but we liked the different choices on the menu. Had brunch there this morning and breakfast options were outstanding! This staff was much more pleasant than last night.
I had a whiskey flight, the chicken and waffles, and the flourless chocolate torte. It was all bomb and I'll be back to try the burger next and some beer.
food was great, lots of drink choices, great bourbons
Our family has enjoyed this restaurant several times while our son attended Bradley University. It was the perfect place to celebrate after his postponed 2020 graduation ceremony! Food and drink were wonderful!
This is a great place and I am certainly coming back. Gives me more incentive to visit the kiddo at college. Food was solid and service way great. Beverage selection is incredible. Nice work
Brunch was fabulous - food was terrific and the atmosphere is killer!
