Excellent food, wine, service & atmosphere. My favorite Tapas place in the city!!!
We walked in slightly disappointed as it's not big with uncomfortable high tops/stools to sit at. I convinced my husband to stay - the food was very good and the server was very knowledgeable (but seemed to be covering most of the restaurant). Okay value for the food. I would recommend it if you're looking for quite casual and a bit noisy, but seeking good tapas.
My favorite part of our dining experience was the service. The staff on 3/1/2020 at 12:30 PM were spectacular. They made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to assure a pleasant experience. Also, the food was delicious, try the chorizo, and the lamb skewers. I will definitely be back.
Have eaten at Tia Pol several times and it never disappoints. Some of our favorites include the garlic shrimp and lamb kebabs, but this time we ordered several specials and they were especially outstanding: flank steak with mushrooms was incredibly lean and flavorful, roasted beet salad was amazing, and the noodles with shredded short rib was out of this world. Their wine list is also really great. I opted for the rose, which was crisp and dry and a great balance with the food. Others in our group enjoyed the sangria. Wasn't wild about the almond cake for dessert, but the fried custard was a winner. Service is always friendly and on top of it, but realize that the place is always busy and they can get a little overwhelmed. It all works though! Highly recommend.
Menu and drink selection strikes the perfect balance to satisfy most diners. The front seating is perfect for a date/friend dining and back room with two large tables would be great for a larger group. Each table can seat six and possibly squeeze another person or two.
Great, authentic tapas with a classy, low key vibe.
Excellent tapas and wine selection. My friends and i have been there several times and it’s consistently great. And the folks there who tackle care of you are genuine - they really make sure your having a great time. Love the place! (To everyone there from Friday night - Thanks for making the birthday celebration so much fun. We had a great time. See you soon!)
Great place to catch up with a friend. We didn’t feel rushed, the food was great & the waiter was spot-on with our wine recommendation. Will definitely make this a regular spot!
Great hand out with friends. Excellent service and we were made to feel most welcome.
The food was delicious! Great service!
The tapas here were incredible and service was amazing! I specifically requested expedited service because we had to get to Sleep No More within an hour of sitting down and the server acknowledged my request was extremely attentive the whole time, making sure to keep us on schedule. I highly recommend this place for the incredible food and impeccable service!
This place is a gem. The meal, wine and service were fantastic! Looking forward to coming here again.
Happy to finally get a reservation! Innovative and delicious. Service could been a bit more attentive. Overall, delightful.
The food and service were excellent. Very cute ambience and variety of menu options. Service was excellent and the staff was very attentive. Great happy hours too. Will def come back
Food is amazing! A little loud, so go with friends with big voices...highly recommend the calamari in squid ink and the chicken liver mousse. Fabulous!!!
This place is amazing
Just love the food and service. Barrett our server is a gem! The wine and food is priced very reasonable.
Very good food served in a small but attractive room, good service, reasonable prices; we had deviled eggs, which were perfectly seasoned, delicious octopus and bean salad, jamon paquetitos, and a perfectly cooked, moist and tender beef short ribs served over swiss chard. Highly recommend.
Very friendly service , cozy seating , some hits and misses on the menu - tortilla, garlic shrimp and churros were good, scrambled eggs were so so only ( had to order something for the kid). Wanted to mention we came to check out this place because it was listed on our old copy of Lonely Planet New York from 2007 and the resto is still here today (2020) so that speaks for itself!
Cozy and intimate
Service was outstanding and the food was great. Was surprised how affordable 5 tapas and a bottle of wine was.
Food good/fine, but seemed quite basic, and not as great as it was years ago. Not much seating space & all hight-top stools and a few benches or bar seating.
Food/Sangria was great. The tables are VERY small, so it was cramped for a group of four. Would return.
Was really disappointed by the place. The server could not be bothered. Seating was really uncomfortable and the food was not that great. I do not know what all the hype was about this place.
No really blow away bu
Tapas isn’t ever a cheap night out, but this was a good value all around.
We are from London and Tia Pol has become our traditional first night meal when we visit New York. We love the food, small setting and service !
Only issue was the seating was a bit tight. Besides that everything was amazing
We like Tia Pol unfortunately the 30min wait was disturbing
Delicious tapas, great wine by the glass, awesome staff, really nice space. Love it. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend the lomo, gambas, chorizo, pulpo, patatas bravas and artichoke salad.
We had a quiet booth which made all the difference. we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
Fantastic service and food. Happy hour wine was great took Will definitely be back. Thank you!
I love this place and so do my friends. Amazing food and cozy ambience. I highly recommend Tia Pol!
