I love going out for dinner and entertainment at The Top of the Fair.?
Everything has changed night and day due to Covid rules and government lockdowns . I don’t see how you are breaking even with so few people there on Friday night. Your staff are incredible! Hang in there and hopefully the times will revert back to “ normal” soon.?

dont like the menu for service and organization it is very good. noise level is low and staff takes care of customers

It was a fun night out although we had difficulty with the app(used Darkhorse)
The steak was tough, and fish was over cooked. Overal we would give it another try

food was good but was not impressed with the service. waitress did not come around enough.

Going to the Top of the Fair for a bite and some live racing was a great night out. The server was attentive to the needs of the table

Too close for comfort. While tables may have been spaced 6 feet apart, it was hardly safe. People were seated at the tier above the window tables adjacent to ours. If people are eating and drinking, they are unmasked and and yelling during the races. The droplets could easily reach those at lower tables. As large as the seating area is, the could certainly do better distancing.

The food and the service was excellent. The servers were attentive and helpful. My mobile needed charging and they found one for me.
Food was excellent as well. The charcuterie was overpriced for what was served, however.
The negative was the app we needed to bet. First we downloaded Dark Horse and then found out it would only allow us to bet on Woodbine.
I then downloaded the app recommended by a helpful staff member but it did not work as it told me that I already had it and wanted my phone password. Never used a mobile app for betting ever before. So, at least an hour of the evening was spent in frustration with apps that would not help. As a result we dined, watched a few races and left.

Sufficient dining menu options, portions were good.

Definitely not how it is during non covid times. You paid as much for plated service as you do for the buffet, the meat was good but the sides were not. Would have been nice to get a choice of potato and possibly a choice of vegetables. The portions are quite small for the price you pay. The whole experience of going to a night at the races was just completely gone. It’s not the same at all. I would not recommend going right now. After covid is over and the buffet returns I will gladly return. The staff were great.

It was great. Food was good and so was atmosphere. Would definitely come back again.

Didn’t expect that there was no betting machine available to make a bet and also other simulcast racetracks

Overall it was a good experience. When we first got there, we were welcomed very rudely by a woman in management who I assumed didn’t believe we had a reservation, in which we did. In that moment, we wanted to turn around and walk away but we gave it a chance. I hope the next time we come that we are greeted with kindness and that we feel that we are welcome.

The meal was rather expensive for what was received.

We were greeted with a friendly smile and then shown to our table and asked if it was a special occasion and it was our 30th Anniversary.
The service was fast and the food really good. Was asked a few times if there was anything else they could do for us. Gave us a piece of cheesecake and a coffee on the house for our Anniversary.

My visit there was very enjoyable and the service was outstanding ,will come back again...thank you

Eaten at the Top of the Fair many times over the years. Quality varied but usually very good. Right now they are on the high end of very good.

Great seats at the window, no one next to us. Was chilly in this area so if you want heat sit in a higher section.

We were impressed with the social distancing measures put in place re: COVID 19. As this venue is specific to horse racing we stayed after dining to watch/wager on the races. That means masks and social distancing are even more important given the time frame. If at any time the emphasis on this aspect is reduced, we will not be attending.
For the first Monday night, it was good. A little disappointed in the "short" menu, but it is understandable given the specific nature of the event. My meal was great, my friend wasn't as enthusiastic, but we still enjoyed the experience. One of the hallmarks of Pub Night which we have come to know and enjoy over the past couple of years is the excellence of the servers. As always, we were well served and on this occasion our server went out of her way to find answers to "first night" questions. Your staff is a big selling point! Just waiting to ensure schedules work out, but our plan is to attend next Monday and we continue our Monday night tradition at the races which is now past 15 years!

Right from the time we arrived at the doors we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and patient with us as we wanted to watch the races for a bit first before we ordered our dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and I were shocked with how great everything tasted. We also had a ton of fun betting and watching the races. Can't wait to go back.

Had a fantastic night, food was a little expensive but I understand needing to make up for lost time and it was very yummy.

As much fun as always but a little more reserved. Fantastic chicken dinner and Jen was wonderful.

Not a good view where our table was and too expensive for the food you get. Ask if we could move and they wouldn’t let us to have a better view of the races. Will not go back.

Horse owners not being allowed to go out to have picture taken with their horse is ridiculous, it is part of the experience,

I enjoyed the experience except with hardly anyone there the excitement level was low.

I found the price of the hamburger meal expensive. With hst and tip, was almost $23 for a decent burger but not many fries came with the meal. I was still very hungry after completion.

Food was good, very expensive Caesar salad for a small portion. Don't like to be indoors now with no fresh air. Would much prefer to sit in annex, with option to go outside.
