I would definitely recommend this little hidden gem to friends. I loved the ambiance and the feel that you were actually in Italy. Also loved the attentive staff and the fact that I could see the chef while he worked. I plan on returning again on a date with my husband.
Because it is out of the way in Manassas Park, I tend to forget it's there. With the traffic, it is hard to get to during week days...with dark streets in winter, it is hard to see, and I often miss my turns, even with GPS.
The restaurant has always been good, although the fish portions are smaller than at other restaurants. I like the quiet atmosphere and the staff are courteous and attentive, making for an enjoyable dining experience.
The food was absolutely amazing! I was skeptical of the restaurant based on its location and outside looks, but once inside it was totally worth it. The service was prompt, courteous, able to explain all the specials in detail. Total professionals. The Chef is right in view, you can watch food prepared if you want or be deep in conversation at your table and never know he is hand making your meals. The best Italian food I've had in t his area! The other reviews that said it was a hidden gem are right. You can dress fancy or go casual, either way, the food is spectacular, not only in the preparation and taste but also the presentation. An absolute must for anyone who likes Italian food and trying different types of food. We are telling all our friends about this place. It is a MUST to try! It will become a favorite place to keep going back to. LOVE IT
A+ Wonderful atmosphere and amazing, authentic food. The linguine Frutta di Mare is the best thing on the menu imo. The duck appetizer tonight was special and yummy. We never saw that on their menu before but it was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Outstanding in every way! Service was friendly and efficient. My husband had shrimp Alfredo and I had tagliatelle bolognese. Both were delicious. Chocolate cake and gelato for dessert. Out of this world! Can’t wait to return. Highly recommend.
Truly a hidden gem! The food is 5 stars across the board. We were so surprised to find downtown DC cuisine in a shopping center in Manassas Park. The chef is a true artist.
Always enjoy Tortino Mare and have introduced it to several friends. The service was slow, took a long time to have someone take our order, but still good.
Stopped here during our VA wine tour for lunch. Excellent and authentic cuisine!
Another wonderful meal at this great restaurant!!!!!!! This time I had the veal Marsala and my husband had lamb. Delicious!!! We both were very pleased. My husband is from Boston - he got the best Italian there. He loves this place.
Their linguini frutti di mare is amazing and worth the trip! They are always very nice there. Great food and great service.
Great time great food!!
Always a great dinner there! Food attractively presented and is delicious!
But three different servers kept asking us how was everything- once before drinks or food actually arrived! After 4th time we told them they didn’t have to ask anymore
Over the years Service has always been great, but younger staff needs a reminder that sometimes diners want to have a conversation without being constantly interrupted.
Thanks for another delicious meal.
Great food, great service. Seems a bit misplaced at its location. Parking leaves something to be desired. Handicapped Parking???
I was with a part of 9 and every dish was outstanding. The staff was so pleasant and everything was really perfect.
It wasn't open at the time of our reservation. Appreciate Open Table apologizing and adding points to our account.
My wife and I went here for our anniversary recently, and I must say, I was very pleased with the whole experience. The food is fantastic as well as the service. We will be returning as well as all our friends.
I have never heard of this place but wanted to try some place I’ve never been to before. I was more than pleasantly surprised as the menu was inventive, albeit small. But that’s fine because when you have a small menu you have better quality control and that’s fine. I think more people should give them a shot. We’ll be back to try the pizza.
The food was delicious and the service was very nice. Nice menu selections.
We continue to love Tortino Mare. Food, service, value. A gem.
Excellent Sunday evening dinner with family. List of daily specials was fantastic, included lobster fettuccine which was excellent! The chef is a genius.
We heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and wanted to try it ourselves. I am happy to say it lived up to the good ratings we saw and the food was excellent! You have to save room for dessert too - Totally worth the extra calories!!!
This restaurant is in a stripmall, but it is a lovely restaurant with nice decor. The severs are well trained and try to answer any questions you may have.
I would have given the food a higher rating if it weren't for the all the crab and lobster shells in our ravioli and linguini dishes. The amount was unacceptable. The portobello mushroom appetizer was paper thin and wasn't worth the money. The ambiance and wine were excellent! The food was extremely disappointing.
Best Italian food I’ve had in a while. Great ambiance and had our table ready when we arrived. They also gave a gracious happy birthday song to help us celebrate. Will be visiting again soon!
Food was not cooked well at all and seasoned poorly. Duck came out burnt and dry in a pool of balsamic. Pasta was flavorless and they didn’t follow requests. Poor overall meal
Date night with my wife. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!! From the tuna and meatball appetizer to the shrimp Alfredo. Nothing but fresh pasta and fresh ingredients. You have got to come by and enjoy a plate of mouth watering Italian. I want to go again!! Keep up the good work guys.
I like the restaurant very much and our waiter Eddie was very nice and took care of us. My only comment is that I think the drinks are far too expensive. Food was good even though I had to send my back to have the linguini cooked.
I had the veal Marsala and my husband the pasta w/meatballs. Both delicious. Blueberry pana cotta outstanding. Lovely decor.
As always, food is consistently good, service is polite, knowledgeable, attentive. We took guests and they were very impressed.
Celebrating a graduation
Presentation on everything is just fabulous
Salad so fresh - ravioli was outrageous the sauce and delicate pasta delicious
Coconut flan for desert. So good
My new fav restaurant!
Beautiful restaurant and beautiful food presentation.
A true hidden gem! Was surprised by location. Great, great food. Will be back.
Ambiance is just lovely, this is a gem in an otherwise underserved community. This was our 5th visit, each time bring family and friends to enjoy. The service is handsprings beyond what is expected. Absolutely fine dining care without the pretentiousness that comes with some noteworthy restaurants in Fauquier county.
Food was spot on.
Our grand children needed a speedy plain cheese pizza while we decided on drinks and apps. It came shockingly fast and was gobbled up just as quickly.
We ordered prosciutto and melon, son had a tuna tartare with sweet potato crisps.
Lunch was tagliatelle bolognese, so fresh and flavorful. Husband enjoyed a smallish serving of veal Marsala with whipped potatoes. No problem, he finished my large pasta. Son ordered rockfish with potatoes and wood grilled asparagus, daughter lived her pizza marguerita all accompanied yummy a great Pinot Grigio and Peroni. Perfecto!
We will be back!
We asked the duck to be rare but came well done.....otherwise everything was fine
This restaurant is a Manassas hidden gem. I'll definitely be going back!
Exceptional quality- exquisite presentation- staff works together- hidden gem. Dined the night prior to a wedding a bristow manor.
Nice place, in an odd area.
