We came to brunch at Town Meeting to celebrate my friends birthday. It was such a special treat. The food was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed each course and the bottomless mimosas! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Such a special place.
First time at Town Meeting Bistro. The food & service were excellent. Felt very homey. Liked their safety precautions!
We loved our experience. Beautiful setting outside and in. Dining room was cozy. Menu was great as was the food we ordered. Attentive service. Really couldn't have been better.
I would highly recommend if you want something "smart casual." The host was lovely. Our waitress was a bit pushy and although great at her service, she lacked personality. The food was delicious. Portions are very small for what you pay, but nice for a special occasion.
Dear Trioatbrunch, Thank you for your recommendation of Town Meeting Bistro. We’re delighted that you found the food delicious and our host lovely. We hope to heave the pleasure of serving you again. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
We went to the champagne brunch. Help was amazing, food was excellent and so much food. Each course was so good. First was shared with pastries, fruits, cheeses and seafood. Then I had lobster fritters, then eggs Benedict, then desert. All of the with champagne It was a amazing day.
Dear Mary, We’re delighted that you had an “amazing day” at Town Meeting Bistro for our champagne brunch. Thank you for your kind words about the food and service. I was traveling with my husband to Lexington to visit my son and his wife and decided to stay at the Inn at Hastings Park. Absolutely outstanding hotel perfectly located. Helpful, friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time. Our room was spacious and luxurious, quiet area. Perfect for family, romantic getaways or business. Due to COVID-19 the front desk delivered our continental breakfast each morning. Also dinner at the Meeting Room restaurant at the Inn was above and beyond our expectations. My husband had the lamb and I had halibut both were perfectly prepared. The dessert was scrumptious. Very talented chef and pastry chef. The service was impeccable. We will definetely come back next time we are in the area. Highly recommended. Five stars.
Dear ChrissyA, Thank you for your “Five-Star” review. We are delighted to see how much you enjoyed Town Meeting Bistro and the Inn at Hastings Park, and that we exceeded your expectations. Beautiful lunch out on the front wrap-around porch. Delicious lobster fritters, so glad we got 2 orders of them! Got to meet the very gracious owner, hoping to take one of her cooking seminars one day.

Our first time dining at Town Meeting and it was a wonderful dining experience. Our service was outstanding and the food was terrific. The cocktails/wine were top notch as our server expertly paired for us. Dessert isn't something we normally get but happy we did! Not too sweet and espresso was dynamite. The ambience is gorgeous and it feels like you are having dinner at a friend's home. Unique and wonderful, we'll be back soon!
Dear AnneF, We’re delighted that you enjoyed the “outstanding service” and dining experience, including the food, cocktails and ambiance. Thank you for your comments and we look forward to serving you again soon. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
We ate outside on the front porch for lunch and enjoyed a lovely meal with beautiful ambiance. The staff did everything to make us comfortable - blankets, heater, hand warmers. Everything we tasted on the menu was delicious - lobster fritters, calamari, lobster rolls, Caesar salad... All COVID precautions were taken - we were very impressed. Overall, a wonderful experience and we hope to be back again before it gets too, too cold.
Dear Lexfoodie, Thank you for your “five-star” review, and glad to know that you had a “lovely” experience. We’ll share your kind words with the culinary team and our staff. We’ll save a seat for you on the front porch for when you return. Until then, warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
Nothing is easy in the time of this pandemic but eating on the Town Meeting porch on a 45-50 degree night was a pleasant experience. The service was excellent, the food was excellent (for the most part) and they did their best to keep us warm. We had a small propane heater next to our table but the biggest help was the blankets they supplied. While the food was mainly delicious, we did have two concerns. The steak frites was on the small side and the entrees don't come with sides. So while the salmon was very good it made for a very small meal.
Dear Openminded, Thank you for your positive comments about Town Meeting Bistro. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed you outside dining experience, and our team made you feel comfortable and warm. We will share your opinion about the side dishes and servings with our team. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
Great service!
Thank you for your five-star review. We’re delighted you enjoyed your experience and service at Town Meeting Bistro. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
We did Sunday brunch on the porch and it was a lovely setting and great service. We started with the lobster fritters which were very good and split a nice spinach salad with cider and bacon dressing.
We both ordered the hash with poached eggs. I don’t know that I’ve ever had anything so completely bland anywhere . It was absolutely devoid of any seasoning or flavor.
Not sure that I’d return.
Dear Janet, We’re glad that you enjoyed the lovely setting and “great” service on the porch at the Inn at Hastings Park. We’re sorry that you thought the hash with poached eggs was bland. We’ll share your comment with our culinary team. In the meantime, we hope you can return and try our other menu items. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
Everything was very good. Food was delicious, owner was passionate, stopped at each table, truly cares about the food and keeping patrons happy. The primary waitstaff person didn’t know how to pronounce some of the entrees or wines — seemed under educated in the world of food. That said, we are in the middle of a global pandemic and I can imagine staffing is difficult. Everyone was very nice and food was amazing.
Dear Jillian, We appreciate your kind words about your experience, the cuisine and the service at Town Meeting Bistro. Your message is well taken about pronunciation, and we’ll share that with the team. We look forward to the pleasure of serving you again. Sincerely, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
The restaurant was relatively empty but the service and kitchen were very slow. Everyone was very. They all greeted us and made us feel welcome but the food and service didn’t match the rest of the experience. Not angry just disappointed
We’re glad that you found our colleagues warm and welcoming. It sounds like we could have increased the speed in which you received your cuisine. We’ll share your comments about the food and service in an effort to improve in the future. Sincerely, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager

We had our 13th anniversary dinner here, outdoors on the front porch, and there were blankets and a mini-heater provided for the table. It was dusk, there were dim porch lights and low music playing. It was a beautiful fall night. We ordered cocktails (The Bitters are Coming and the Champagne pairing) alongside appetizers and soup, which were all amazing. The Lobster Fritters were seriously the perfect bite of food - served with a sweet pepper jam, they were fluffy and airy and so full of flavor! I've been thinking about them since we were there!
Our server was fantastic, and when I asked her to just bring me a perfect red wine to pair with my steak frites she did just that, with a warm and robust French Bordeaux that I ended up ordering a second glass of. My wife got the salmon for her entree, which was one of the best prepared pieces of fish I've ever had (of course I sampled!) It was served in a mustard cream sauce and had a horseradish and parmesan crisp baked onto the top of it, which added such a nice texture and slight hint of kick. I'll order that for certain when we go back!
We thought we were too full for dessert, but ultimately decided to split the beignets, and were ultimately convinced to also split the homemade take on a s'more! I'm happy we were convinced, and since the wine pairing with dinner was so perfect, we asked our server to surprise us with dessert drink pairings, to which she brought us three different aperitifs to sample and judge alongside our dessert, which was the perfect way to cap of a fantastic evening.
I rarely write restaurant reviews, but, both my wife and I said that we need to shout to the world in any way we can how fantastic this place is, so, here you go. It's amazing! The food was perfectly prepared, the timing of all the courses was comfortable, we never felt rushed, but also didn't wait long periods of time - service was warm, knowledgeable and attentive! Five Stars all around.
Dear DavidF, First, a warm note of congratulations on your anniversary and thank you for selecting Town Meeting Bistro for your treasured celebration. It sounds like you had a magical fall evening and experience, and we’ll share your kind words with our team. We appreciate your “five star” review, and look forward to the pleasure of serving you again. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director and Christine Smith, General Manager
We really enjoyed our lunch at Town Meeting. Food and service were great! We ate outside on the porch: the porch was nice, but the road traffic was fairly noisy (fairly busy road). Nothing too crazy, but something to note. We would definitely return back to the restaurant in the future!
Dear MrHayabusa, Thank you for selecting Town Meeting Bistro for your lunch, and we’re delighted to see your comments that the food and service were “great!” We look forward to the pleasure of serving you again when you return. They just opened up again. Menu is completely redone and excellent. We ate outside. Only drawback is due to public rules, you need to be out of there by 9PM. But the food was great. The service the same as usual. And the new menu is very creative. I would definitely go back.
Dear Scott, Thank you for your Five Star review, and kind words about our new menu. We’re so glad to know that you’ll be back. Until then, warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Christine Smith, General Manager
So happy that Town Meeting has reopened! We had a wonderful dinner on the porch. Ambience was lovely. Food was SUPERB and the service was great. Looking forward to returning.

Three of us went for lunch to this restaurant. The building is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. However, the food was just awful. They even served french fries small bit and pieces as if they were just leftover. None of the dishes tasted great and of course, they were all overpriced. Oh, even coffee tasted not so good.
Our server was very nice and we liked her, but I felt that we were a little bit discriminated against by the host because she put us in a table with a parking lot view when we were the first one to come to the restaurant and just one more party came after us. They sat in a better table with a better view. The restaurant was practically empty with 2 groups. I told that today was my daughter's birthday and we ordered a dessert but there is no acknowledgment from the restaurant. I was so looking forward to having a good time there with good food at my daughter's birthday, instead, I apologized to my daughter to pick such a bad restaurant:(
The food was just ok. Given the prices, not ok. Food was vastly better when it was artistry—ate there maybe a dozen times but dont see myself coming back any time soon.

Great food. Great service. Wonderful room BUT the bar is far too loud to be so close to the dining room. Some sort of noise barrier, perhaps? It really spoiled the atmosphere.
Thank you for your compliments about the service and your culinary experience. We greatly appreciate your feedback about the proximity of the bar, and apologize for your experience. We hope you will find it different and a more pleasurable experience if we have the pleasure of serving you again. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director and Christine Smith, General Manager
We had lunch at Town Meeting. It was quite blustery outside but when we entered the dinning room was quiet and the fireplace lit making for a perfect setting for our meal. The service was very good and our food was presented nicely and tasted very good.
Dear massachusettsmama We’re delighted you enjoyed Town Meeting Bistro, including the service and its warm and “perfect” setting. We hope to see you again. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director and Christine Smith, General Manager
Lovely breakfast with friends. Treated to a small bowl of granola/yogurt/honey and a mini croissant.
Breakfast was very good. Service was attentive.
Woman at front desk showed us around the beautifully appointed facility.
We’ll definitely return.

Lovely brunch with a good friend. Atmosphere was more casual than I expected but very comfortable. Noise level was not loud at all, which was great for conversation. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Overall a bit pricey, but I would go back again.

The presentation, the food, the setting were simply amazing. The chef is mixing flavors divinely. We have been there for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner and all the meals were outstanding.
The wine list is varied and remains affordable. The sommelier was excellent and made us discover some great wines.
This is an outstanding restaurant.
Dear Karel, Thank you for your Five-Star review, and for being a loyal guest. We’re delighted that you enjoyed your experience, and will share your compliments with the team including Zoltan and Chef Scott. We look forward to serving you again. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director and Christine Smith, General Manager
Price is too high for the amount of food that comes to table. Waitress misinformed our table regarding the sides. Told us they were enough to share with a group of 4. Five sprigs of asparagus is not enough to share with a party of 4 not to mention is not worth $9.00.
We were really hoping there was going to be a difference from artistry on the green. Very disappointed.
Dear Stenographer, Thank you for your feedback about Town Meeting Bistro. We’ll share your comments with the team, and hope we can regain your trust in the future if you decide to return. Sincerely, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director and Christine Smith, General Manager
Old-fashioned experience (in a good way).
Attentive, affable, professional service, a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can actually hear your dining companions, and well-executed menu.
Dear Andy, Thank you for your Five-Star review. We’re so glad that Town Meeting Bistro is one of your favorites in the Boston area. We’ll share your kind words with our team and look forward to the pleasure of serving you again. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director and Christine Smith, General Manager
Wow. A top notch dining experience. Every bite was a blessing to my mouth. The clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had. The Brussel sprouts were incredible. The monkfish was flavorful and delicately prepared. My only complaint is that the drinks were very small. An expensive dining experience. Not something we do often. But it was lovely.
We’re glad to see that you enjoyed your culinary experience at Town Meeting Bistro, including the clam chowder which “was the best” you ever had. We thank you for your positive comments and your feedback about the size of the cocktails. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President & Group Managing Director and Christine Smith, General Manager
