Great food. We picked a busy night so service was a little slow, but understandable. Would deffinately go again.
The food was excellent on this Saturday night, however, the outdoor patio was not ready for guests. It had to be arranged, wiped down and heaters turned on for our dinner. It seemed like they didn't plan for our outdoor reservation.
The staff did not know how to turn on the outdoor heaters, so I had to do it myself.
All of our meals were excellent, and the waitstaff was very nice.
Sat near the main entrance had to keep our coats on because of the air conditioner. Food was overpriced for the quality, service was slow had to repeat our requests for water twice, did not enjoy experience. Doubt we will return.
This was my second time at the restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious in the atmosphere was nice! Will definitely be going back and recommend it to family and friends.
Waitress was awesome I felt bad for her. Our drinks were the same as the first time we went 9/12 it was delish this is why we went back. My salmon was salty. The stuffing was yellow gross. First time was delicious. Our friends had to send their food back chicken was raw
Food is good service is slow. Need to improve in that area.
Wait a little too long for main course & then to get our tab/bill. Food was delicious but quantity not enough for 2 or meal was supposedly for 2 people
Everything was great, great food , great atmosphere and great service
Our server was great- attentive, friendly. The vibe was very cool- we sat on the back deck which is apparently the "less cool" location, but it had great ambiance. We loved it. We had two tasty bottles of wine, three really good apps...but two entrees that were really good and two that were less good. The bacalhau a braz and the lobster pasta were great; the Portuguese steak and tuna were less good.
The kitchen seemed slammed and the menu is kinda long which probably kept them in the weeds all night, the restaurant is new...so we're totally coming back again to give Townehouse a second try. If all the entrees had been great, this would have been a 4-5 star experience.
Will definitely go back my food was good but the steak could use some seasoning . If it wasn’t for the amazing sauce I would have been disappointed. The place is gorgeous and the service was top notch. Will be trying again with friends.
Dinner with our son’s god parents
This was a party of eight and all of our first time there. Food was just OK. Codfish was extremely dry and had to be sent back. This was definitely a one and done for my group.
Cocktails, Manhattan- perfect
Appetizer, baked clams - tasty, good portion
Entree, Swordfish - moist, delicious
Service - friendly, efficient
This party of 2 intends to return.
We were booked for outside but there were no lights and it was at 7 and getting dark, moved inside no problem but we ordered our food at 7:30and it didn’t arrive to our table until almost 9 and was room temperature. Sword fish was shriveled up, taste was ok but I would never order it again, overall disappointed. This was not our first time here but all the other times have been great, an off night for sure.
When we arrived and were checking in the hostess stated we did not make the reservation to sit on the Douro Steakhouse side. Not sure how to do that through open table as they didn’t clarify seating options when making reservations. They sat us on the tapas and oyster bar side and we were able to order off the Douro menu. Food was very good. Table server was ok. She appeared to play favorites with certain tables while disregarding other tables. I would recommend to others and will visit again.
bread is a bit subpar, need better steak knives, but wine list is fantastic, and food as well as service are both very good
We started with chowder and the Mozambique fries (delicious) then got the tomahawk steak and added mash and mixed veggies to share. Our kids had tenders fries and wings and they loved it. Also had a delicious red sangria. Everything was amazing!
Atmosphere, service, and food are all excellent. It is just what Fall River needed. Have been twice already, and will be back!
The drink menu is fantastic, the stuffed salmon was perfect! The problem was that we intended on having more to drink and eat but it took 45 min between the waitress checking on us, we had water for the first 30 min before placing a drink order. We were often forgotten about, we were not in a rush but in 2.5 hours we had 2 drinks an appetizer and an entre, and we had decided on what to eat and drink shortly after arriving. The meals took an hour to come out and the filet mignon medallions we overcooked, I mentioned it and the waitress said "oh sorry" and did not offer any solution and walked away (they were still good but underwhelming for a steakhouse). This did not seem like the normal service that this place has and seemed to be isolated to this one employee, I really look forward to coming back but I am very hesitant if this is the normal service to expect. I will gladly follow up with this review after a second visit.
This place did not live up to the hype. Our waiter was extremely nice but he seemed extremely overwhelmed. Maybe more waitstaff and less table cleaners. The food itself was just ok. I ordered the grilled salmon. Unfortunately it was overcooked and dry. One of my friends ordered the Portuguese steak which looked like a good piece of meat but there was no sauce. The best part of our meal was the passion fruit sangria.
Food what bland no flavor our waitress was good but wait for our meal was terrible !!!
Food is tasty and so are the drinks. The restaurant needs to work on their waitstaff. They leave you sitting for a long time waiting to get your drink order. Hoping it gets better over time since it just recently opened.
Food was exce
Service was good , food was ok , me being Portuguese.food did take a while to come out . Beautiful place . Not much parking
The food was amazing and the outdoor seating was perfect. I would absolutely go back to eat again.
We were seated right away by attentive hostess. The waitress came over and took our drink order promptly. Bread basket and water was brought to our table.
When she returned we placed our order. Our calamari appetizer came out quickly and it was very good. Shortly after our meals arrived. See pictures below. Overall the food was good but not great! The a la carte sides are pricey and many of the dishes do not include sides.
our waitress was excellent!
she was attentive and was customer focused.
Food was good. Sat with dirty dishes and empty glasses on the table. Waitress needed a bus boy to help her.
My parents thought that the salmon was dry and the tuna was dry as well.
This is a unique place in the heart of Fall River. I believe it is 3 places in one. A Tappas bar, Cafe and Steakhouse. We sat in the Tappas bar yet had full access to all 3 menus.
We ordered the filet with Asparagus, Chowder and a Portuguese Steak.
The wifey liked the chowder. Her steak was delish and full of flavor. It had a perfectly cooked egg, vibrant peppers and plenty of garlic to keep the local vampires away.
Now I debated between the filet, the ribeye and the Tomahawk steak. Since we had never eaten here before I was conservative and went with the Filet. It is served a LA cart so I added grilled asparagus.
The cut of the filet was superb, with not one ounce of fat or grizzle on it.
Presentation was outstanding.
Bobby Flay and Gordon Ramsey would be impressed
See the pic.
The way it was cooked was in line with any top tier steakhouse in the country.
It was perfectly charred and the flavor was sealed in with a nice artery clogging dose of garlic butter.
This steak was probably in my top 10 steaks of all time.
They have something for everyone. Next time we will try to sit outside on their umbrella covered deck or in the steakhouse side.
Try this place.. We will be back for sure!
Reservation was for 630pm. We were immediately sat. Waited 20 minutes for drinks and once drinks were served we ordered dinner. At 745pm we still had not received our food. We paid for our drinks and left. I will not be back since we asked for the manger and the manager never came to our table.
Food was great and service was spot on. The atmosphere is amazing and the rooms are filled with positive vibes from everyone enjoying themselves.
Four of us all had a good meal. Had the Portugese Steaks.
My first time dining at Town House and enjoyed every minute; the ambiance was beautiful. Very nice staff and delicious meal.
My family and I were ao excited to try a new restaurant. It’s a beautiful place. But to say we were disappointed is an understatement. It started with the appetizers. We placed our order and 30 minutes later we were told they were out of soup. Once our appetizers arrived we put in our dinner order. After about 40 minutes later the waitress returned to tell me once again that they were out of 2 of the 3 things I ordered. And the food I did get was very disappointing. My brother ordered a medium rare steak and it was well beyond well done. In all it took about 2.5 to 3 hours to get our meals.
Arrived at 6:30, sat right away ordered a bottle of wine first choice was out, second choice was out waitress brought over a bottle she recommended. Ordered appetizer first voice couldn’t make because no bread, second choice could make because no bread settled on third choice charcuterie board “still no bread”. Took 45 minutes to get app sliced cheese and meat. During that time other tables nearby received app I first wanted because they received bread. When finally got app was not able to enjoy because meal came out minutes later. However all the food was done well.
Party of 4 for dinner, we chose outdoor dining. The umbrellas were the only good part of the experience. It was only the waitresses second day so I’ll cut her some slack but she should have had someone training with her. Got the appetizer order wrong. The appetizers were good but you can’t really mess up raw bar. Dinner came out for 3 out of the 4 of us, three of us finished our dinner before the 4th person got theirs with two missing sides. For a steakhouse, the Douro steak was disgusting. The staff were outside smoking right behind us eating. Then a man walked into the outdoor dining and announced that he was homeless and asked all of us for money. We were only offered a free drink for the late meal.
Fantastic appetizers and great atmosphere!
