You are cordially invited to visit Transfer Pizzeria Café, located in the Harbor District on the corner of 1st and Mitchell Streets. Established in 2008, the namesake is Transfer Pharmacy, a classic cornerstone drugstore from a bygone era that for decades supplied a thriving community with goods and services as evidenced by the stained glass windows still in place. The pharmacy was appropriately named for the constant activity that took place just outside - the boarding, departures, and transfers of the countless daily commuters of the time. The tradition of a reliable cornerstone establishment continues today, as Transfer Pizzeria delivers a unique dose of delicious pizza, drink, atmosphere, and friendly service.

We keep an active wait-list and gladly accommodate walk-ins as part of both our lunch and dinner service.

The perfect Thursday night. A great trio provides the music. Everyone is friendly. The cocktails and wine are great and reasonably priced. An ample fresh salad for two and a great selection of pizza, especially black garlic and Hot rod.

First time at Transfer Pizza for us and we will definitely be back! It is a really neat, old building. We had a sausage and a margherita pizza, cheese garlic bread, and a Greek salad. All were excellent. We especially loved the marinara sauce served with the cheese garlic bread and wish they sold it to take home! Our meal was very reasonable. There is a separate room at the back part of the building and that had louder music and was very lively. We were in the front part, which was quieter than the back and perfect for us since we wanted to be able to have conversations. Street parking was easy to find on a Saturday night. Would highly recommend!

Very good Pizza. Good Caesear Salad. Needs a little acoustic treatment, it's a little loud for conversation.

We reserved a Thursday table for Latin Jazz Night. Cana Brava provided exceptional entertainment and Transfer provided terrific food and drink. The SMO pizza was very good. That being said, I have been going to Transfer for years and it seems that the toppings are a bit skimpier than they once were. The Margherita pizza was delicious. The white wine special was a delightful surprise. Elsie, our server, was obviously busy. Despite this, service never lagged and Elsie was always personable and attentive. There was a high school student bussing tables that was one of the most impressive workers I've seen in some time. Overall, Transfer was a great place to be on a humid Milwaukee night. We plan on many more evenings at this solid establishment.
