Friday and Saturday piano music. Overall fantastic meal! Special, safe night out.

Food was great but our waiter was not. He was doing us a favor by being there. Rude even, while a waitress in the same room was friendly and talkative to her customers. Was not the best experience because of him.

Dinner was great. Service could have been better.

From the front door to the table, the staff was welcoming and very helpful. The food was AMAZING! It was as delicious as it was beautiful. A special dessert with a candle was brought to m daughter for her birthday as a surprise and she was very surprised. What a terrific time spent in the gift shop as well.

Lovely atmosphere, good service, good food. We had only breakfast there but I would definitely go again and look forward to a lunch or dinner.

Family of 4 had delicious meals in a dining room with feel of a family resort, live piano music, warm atmosphere but not chic/sophisticated

New Years Eve dinner and service was amazing. Piano music was playing, the food quality was so good, and the service was excellent.

Several days the meat was over cooked!!
The third day we ordered rare and it was at least medium not dead and dry over cooked charcoal pucks

We stayed at the lodge over Christmas so dined in their restaurant for breakfast and Christmas Day dinner. It was wonderful. Great food, service and atmosphere. Made the day very special and I cannot wait to go back.

Christmas Eve dinner was very nice. The Holiday decor was beautiful but not overdone, the food was delicious. Our server was a bit...pre-occupied, but otherwise a very nice experience.

A lovely start to Christmas. The Muesli was dreamy, the coffee bold and flavorful, our server attentive and friendly. Lovely peaceful and unrushed. Will be back!

The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I wished we booked to stay here instead at TopNotch Resort.

The petite filet with crab was excellent. My husband doesn't eat beef or pork and the fish dish came with bacon infused-couscous. Our waiter arranged for a separate fish dish to be made for him. I think the menu could have more options for vegetarians/pescatarians, but overall we love it there, and will happily be back as soon as we can! Christian is a delightful server.

I don't like the way they just go ahead and put the tip on the bill.Food was ok but people if you purchased the $20 food they offer on the hotel room make sure you get worth $20 as they will charge you no matter what.If you get worth $10 meal you wil still get charge $20

The cheese fondue was incredible!! Beautiful dining room with a fire in the fireplace and live piano music!

A fun adventure to experience the lodge for a meal! We ate dinner, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful to ensure a safe dining experience.

As it was off season, quiet and less crowded. Foods were awesome.

A beautiful evening at an iconic location. Beautiful atmosphere, good service, good food. Every time we come we are pleased, and we will be back again.

We waited a long time for our food and there was only 2 other tables full. The meal was also very overpriced.

My wife and I felt very comfortable eating indoors at the lounge. The service was very attentive and the food was excellent.

The dinner and was very good. Missed having a dinner roll with a pasta meal.

Not many diners due to Covid. Waitress didn’t always seem to understand what I was saying as a possible little language barrier? I did not see any wait person sanitizing their hands in between service. Would clear a table and then bring food to another table. Disappointed in the dinner. Craving Austrian food. The Weinerschnitzel was good and ample but the spaetzle was AWFUL!! Dry , small portion and very bland! Would not have recognized it! Was like an overcooked pasty pasta with no flavor!
The linzer torte was also cold and dry , yet served with ice cream. Why? Certainly couldn’t melt over that cold slab!

On Vacation. Not a large selection...mostly German foods.

I ordered the trout, from the texture it had been frozen and the vegetables were cold. My wife had the Wiener schnitzel, over cooked though she said she enjoyed it. There was a lot of anticipation in coming here and it was disappointing. I am from Berlin, grew up with great German food and this was not it, though the dark beer was quite good. The employees here were somewhat condescending, food was lackluster and basically tasteless.

Come here for the ambiance. Beautiful establishment, live piano music while you have dinner, and great staff. Food and drinks are okay.

I think that due to the pandemic the food and services were affected.

Everything was fine. The dining room was tired, and the food was ok. Oddly, they served the trout with what tasted like pinto beans. The cocktails weren’t very good and it just seemed like it needed a reboot.

My partner and I had a very relaxing lunch. We lucked out and had a window table with a spectacular view. The server was very attentive, yet not intrusive.

We enjoyed the Johannes burger and bratwurst with Dunkel and a Pilsner. Outstanding!

We started at the Kaffeehaus to enjoy the view and sun with a cup of coffee, had lunch at the lodge, walked the grounds and, 8 hours later, enjoyed Vienna at the bier hall. All around wonderful experience...Prost!

Pleasant atmosphere and good food if you like Bavarian type food. We ate in the restaurant and it was not crowded.

Breakfast menu is everything you need while in VT. It sure reminds you of Austria but it has a twist of VT. Belgian waffle is so fresh and fluffy it melts! The fruits are fresh and sweet. Can’t go wrong with classic eggs and bacon or delicious omelette with their Cabot cheddar cheese! Highly recommended!

The idea of eating at this restaurant is much better than the experience itself. The waiters were obnoxious, talking loudly at the har about how there were so many restaurants closed and the lodge should jack up prices and really stick it to people who have no other choice of where to eat. It ruined my overpriced and bland dinner, listening to them talk, knowing it was true that it was one of the only places open.

The location of the dining room was beautiful, great view of the surrounding mountains. Unfortunately, that’s about the best thing I could say about the experience. The service was fine, that wasn’t the issue at all. The restaurant itself felt very outdated and stodgy. The food wasn’t bad per se, it just lacked the quality that I would have expected for the price and for the standard that the resort holds itself to. The charcuterie board was basically just cold cuts and cubed cheese, nothing special whatsoever. I’ve had far better quality boards for a lower price, and given the quality of meats and cheeses in the area I would have expected something better. The entree was fine, it was just mediocre in flavor and quality. Overall, I can’t say that it was bad, but it was a disappointment and definitely not worth the price.

Fall foliage visit.

We enjoyed every minute of our recent visit to Trapp Family Lodge. Dining Room food and service excellent and very relaxed.
Highly recommend!
