Celebrated 2 birthdays of best friends turning 70.
Food superb!! Server outstanding.
We will go back.
The food, atmosphere and service were all top notch. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. They served one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had. I had Chilean sea bass and my husband had king crab leg clusters. Both we're wonderful. They brought my husband a flaming baked Alaska for his birthday treat. Everything was so nice. Great for a special occasion.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Top notch service. Presentation and food were above and beyond. GM George knows how to manage. Highly recommend. Will be back again and again
Everything was perfect! Best restaurant in Chicago. This is our “special place” for significant events. Highly recommended.
My new favorite Steak House. Our meal was absolute perfection. The staff is extremely attentive and the restaurant is beautiful. I will definitely be back. I'm saying good bye to Morton's and Gibson's and hello to Truluck's. Outstanding.
This was our first time at the restaurant. The waiter was pleasant and not overbearing. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Only complaint, my husband thought it took long for our food to come out but I disagreed. But when our dinner arrived, it was delicious. For appetizers we had the lobstargot. It was ok. Not what we expected. Still tasty but presentation is a bit deceiving in portion. I also had a cup of the clam chowder - different but tasty. And for my main course, I had the miso-glazed sea bass over a small bed of crab fried rice. My husband had the cluster of king crab legs. We also split an order of sautéed garlic spinach. Oh and the bread is to die for...lol. We finished off our meal with the sampler dessert( included small serving of chocolate cake, creme brûlée, and carrot cake. All very tasty. Will we return? Absolutely! We are from Boston and LOVE good seafood!
It was just a really fun experience. Our server was very knowledgable and a lot of fun to chat with. The escargot was honestly, the best my friend and I have ever had. Overall, just a really great experience and would definitely go back the next time our tour is back in Rosemont.
Best rib eye I’ve had in ages!
First time here. It was a beautiful restaurant and everything was very good. I would definitely recommend for someone who wants great food and service and is willing to pay for it.
We had an outstanding dining experience at Truluck's this past weekend. I had heard good things about it and wanted to give it a try. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left we were lavished with attention. Our waitress was great and she went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. It was my elderly mothers birthday and they had a French waiter come over and sing to her and then they brought us a baked Alaska!. My fried perch was outstanding and my husband had the redfish and it was great. The only thing that was not perfect was the Brussel sprouts - too big. Also we loved the yeast rolls and butter and the fruit infused water. Expensive? A bit but no more than the other steak houses. I should also mention that they have live entertainment starting at 6.
Arnie was a terrific server!!!
Best restaurant in Northwest suburbs!
Aside from the wonderfully delicious food, the staff went above and beyond to help my husband and I celebrated our anniversary in style. Jenna was our amazing server. She worked along with Jacqueline to make sure everything went smoothly, but we mostly dealt with Jenna. She made sure we were happy with our drinks, appetizers and entrees...which we most certainly were! Jenna also submitted a song request to the singers, and they surprised us with singing it and wishing us a happy anniversary! By the end of the night, everyone in the restaurant was wishing us a happy anniversary. To top it off, we were surprised by the fabulous baked Alaska for dessert. This is a top notch spot and will certainly be our go-to from now on. I can’t wait to go back!
It was amazing experience took care of from the moment we walked into til the moment we left the restaurant. We will definitely be going back!
Great staff, timing service, excellent
I took my friend to Truluck for her birthday. We started with the ceviche. It was a variation with a lot of cucumbers, jalapeños, avocado, and celery. Went very well with our cocktails. She had a Pretty in Pink and I, a negroni. Truluck makes one of the best negronies in the area.
We each opted for the 3 course, prix fixe, power lunch. She had the lobster bisque, which she couldn’t get enough of. Her entree was the ahi tuna. It was perfectly cooked. We shared the Brussels sprout side.
I had the Ceasar salad. Again, in this day in age where so many restaurants pour bottled dressing on this salad, Truluck actually makes a delicious dressing. It also is topped with white anchovies. Nice touch. My medallions of beef were spot on medium rare. The mashed potatoes were redolent with garlic.
We took home our respective desserts of malted chocolate cake and carrot cake so we could enjoy the wonderful complimentary baked Alaska which they brought out for her birthday.
Still a suburban gem with excellent food.
All this was made ever more enjoyable by our servers. One, a new hire of only 2 months. I’m so sorry not to have gotten his name when he introduced himself, and by Romi, a delightful and suave Frenchman.
Fabulous food, wine, bar, service!
Was very surprised by this restaurant, located near O'Hare airport. Fresh, well executed seafood, great friendly and personal service. Nice bar with very good piano bar singer. A winner.
Absolutely fantastic place to dine. I will do it again for an special occasion. The food, service was all upscale. Our waiter was fantastic too.
This was our first visit to a Truluck's and we went for our anniversary on a Sunday evening so it was a little less busy than a weekend. A decent crowd but not busy. The service and the food were both outstanding and my wife commented that the restaurant reminded her of going downtown. The staff were friendly and engaging and everyone congratulated us on our anniversary. That scored a lot of points. My wife had sea bass and I had the bone in filet - both were awesome and we would recommend them. The wine list was impressive - but I thought too heavily skewed to the more expensive side. Overall a great evening, with great food, in a great space with a terrific staff.
Our evening at Truluck's was simply AMAZING! From the wonderful and friendly staff to the music and the energy at the lounge, to the succulent food, it's hard to say goodnight.
Our thanks to Jacklyn for her excellent service and attention and to George Laftsidis treating each guest as family and for creating such an elegant environment.
Great service, food was excellent
The service and food we
If you want to have a special night out, this is the place. The athmosphere is upscale and all glam where you feel like in a special place. Food and drinks are great. Good service as well. Can't wait to plan the next special occasion there again!
Very nice place, just a little overpriced in my opinion. Service was top notch and a great atmosphere.
