   This is our second trip to this Tupelo Honey location. The food is great. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is delicious, and the variety of menu options makes it so that everyone can have a favorite dish and not have everyone ordering the same item.

   Wait time for brunch was 2 hours but thanks to Open Table we were seated right on time for our reservation- The waitress was very attentive to my friends food allergies- Food came out fast and tasted great

   We went for Mother’s Day and sat outside. It’s was a tight space, but nice. Service was slow, most likely because of Mothers Day. However, the server we had did a great job! Food was excellent. Looking forward to going back.

    We were in for Mother’s Day brunch. We knew it would be busy. What surprised us was the fact that the biscuits were ice cold and hard (after being told we’d be getting fresh, hot biscuits) and waiting additional 10 minutes for honey (after asking twice). Cold honey on even colder biscuits- not great. Also, our coffee was ice cold, too. We asked for fresh and it was warmer second time, but the next time our waitress came by with coffee (after we asked again for refill), she poured cold coffee over our lukewarm coffee. We just gave up. Our food tasted reheated- esp the waffles (prob in prep for large crowd, but spongy lukewarm waffles are not appetizing). We’ve eaten here several times, but this day was a disappointing experience overall.

    Food was excellent! Service a little slow, made reservations yesterday and once again got sat next to the kitchen and employees on break at middle table and computer to put in orders and check out. Would love to sit in a different area.

    We loved the menu items offered and the overall vibe of the restaurant. It's in a nicely renovated area of the city. The timing of our meal was way off, which is why I can't give it 5 starts. We felt really rushed, and our cocktails came after our main course, and then our appetizers arrived. So it was all out of whack.

    We were sat 30 mins after our reservation time and even though I told them we were going to be late for my daughters graduation, no one had any sense of urgency. Once sat, more waiting. Then when the food started coming out, there were several long pauses in between to the point where three of the eight of us, were done eating while others hadn’t received their meals. It was ridiculous. There were no apologies or offers to comp anything. It was terrible. Will not go back.

    I've eaten at other Tupelo restaurants in other cities, and love their food. This was no exception. Unfortunately, the weather was inclement, and we were seated outside. There was no real effort to make this more enjoyable by having heaters and/or some kind of screen from the rain and breeze coming through (we were under the cover of an awning though). There were many open tables inside, but we were told they couldn't accommodate any more diners inside the restaurant. Service was initially very slow - it took more than 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks - but our server was very nice and seemed to catch up as our meal went on. Everyone truly enjoyed their food, and that's why were there - so all in all, a good experience, and we'd go back.

    Two of us ordered the smothered chicken, which was almost inedible, certainly not the easy to eat dinner as described. The chicken thighs were heavily over breaded and very dry and difficult to cut. A small amount of gravy was drizzled over the top, certainly not the “smothering” we expected. We were very disappointed with Tupelo Honey. Additionally, we had looked on the menu on your website and it stated that brunch items were available all day Saturday and Sunday. When we inquired, the waitress stated that “0nly items on the menu are available.”

    Service was pretty inconsistent this day. Our server just couldn’t seem to get it together, and she let it show that she was frustrated. Food was good, bar service was ok, a few drinks came out wrong, but they fixed it. But the attitude of the server was definitely a problem. She could have easily up-sold us, but she didn’t even come to ask if we wanted anything else until after we paid. We left there and went to another place for more drinks for brunch, as we were a girlfriend group from 3 states having our last meal together before flights out. We had to ask for silverware, after she brought our plates and walked off. Eggs were cold by the time we got silverware. I’m a previous server, she either needs trained better or shouldn’t be serving. I understand people have bad days, but her attitude went along with her service. She never acknowledged that her inconsistency, just seemed like we were bothering her.

    We enjoyed our dinner at Tupelo Honey. A very cute restaurant with good southern style food. Biscuits were good as was our first taste of chicken and waffles. We also recommend the fried pickles, nice thin slices of pickles, to be shared with the table.
