Tupelo Honey - Greenville

I was disappointed by the number of full tables in the space. I don’t believe there was 6 feet between customers seated at tables.

I arrived late to last reservation. The rest of my party was 10-15 minutes later than me. So, waitress was very patience and I appreciate it. The food, as usual, is great. We ended up leaving after the restaurant closed. Again, the servers were very patient.

Biscuits are absolutely delicious; brussels sprout are so yummy! A really good menu. Easy reservation process on Open Table. One thing, I asked the server if the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich was really spicy; he said no, so I ordered it. But wow, it was too hot for me! Mac and cheese was delicious.

We always enjoy eating at Tupelo Honey! This is a favorite spot for me and my adult children! Please bring the okra and the roasted beet salad with goat cheese back. Those are 2 of our favorites!!

amazing as always! service was a bit slower this day but i know a lot of restaurants are understaffed at the moment so that is probably all it was. food is always great

Birthday meal

I made our reservations 3 weeks prior to April 18th, it was originally April the 11th but they had to reschedule it since renovations were not yet finished. We go in at 11:30 for our 11:45 reservation and are told we would be seated at our reservation time. Waited passed out time while other people came in and were immediately seated, one that said their time was 12:00. Finally asked the host and she said "oh yeah you are next." She sat us at a tiny table crammed in beside the railing at the bar and I asked to me moved, out of the bar area so they crammed us into another table in a corner at the bar where the host podium used to be, still in the bar area. The bartender was to pick up the tables in this area, but unfortunately she was to busy serving a busy bar to worry to much about a few tables. The service was awful as our waitress/ bartender never came back to check on us and the food was terrible and just thrown together. We told the manager on the way out what had occurred and she gave us the impression she could care less. Now I understand they are busy and could care less if we ever go back, but I feel like if I took the time to make a reservation three weeks in advance, they could at least take the time to care about local and loyal customers.

Amazing. Highly Recommend the mac & cheese waffle with chicken breast with hot sauce it was out of this world

Fried chicken and waffles made with macaroni & cheese - what more could you want ?The Brussel sprouts are amazing as well as just about every thing else we have had here. Only complain is salads didnt come out before the main. We will be back.

Great food server not so much greatness there

We have eaten at Tupelo Honey in Asheville and loved it. However, this time in Greenville, we were a little disappointed. Chicken was so drenched in Sraricha sauce that we couldn’t taste the chicken. Our mouths were numb because of the heat. I think it’s lacking the cozy ambiance it needs. Our service was amazing! Our waitress was fantastic!

Started with a waitress who came to the table in a fair amount of time. Dinner came out in good time and was really good. The famous banana pudding did not have one banana in it , it was only wafers and cool whip. However after receiving our dinner no one came to the table one time to refill our drinks! I finished dinner with nothing to drink! We had to flag down another waiter and ask for our check, so the service and the desert was horrible. We have been before and had a great experience, breakfast was really good. But on 4-17-21 at 630 they were lacking!

Not a bad place to eat - I've eaten there several times in the past - but the menu IS limited to fried chicken - it's calling card - with salads, sandwiches and Southern side dishes rounding out the menu offerings.

$10 for a glass of Sangria was a little over the top, but considering the amount of revenue restaurants lost this past year due to the mandatory pandemic shutdown, I wasn't surprised; prices have equally increased at other restaurants I generally visit.

Bottom line: The food was tasty, but once you've had fried chicken, "...a fried chicken is a FRIED chicken!!" Not much more you can do or say about that.

Conveniently located downtown Greenville. Remodeled atmosphere is more open, I miss the booths. They changed the menu and removed my favorite side, okra. If you like good southern comfort food, Tupelo is the place foe you. 4 stars removed my favorite and changed the atmosphere.

Food was amazing as always. We were disappointed to find that the usual complimentary biscuits and honey were no longer the norm-you have to purchase them as an appetizer :(
Also a negative was that though we had reservations-upon arrival we were taken all the way through the main dining area and seated in the less inviting bar area.

The blackened catfish was over and above my expectations! I had a side salad with pecan vinaigrette dressing along with “my favorite “collards. The service was spectacular along with my birthday reward. Overall a wonderful experience!

They always do a great job! Know that the outdoor seating will always have a breeze because of the buildings around. The outdoor seating is an excellent place to people watch!

I visited Tupelo Honey for the first time. I sat outside so it was busy with sounds of all the passerbys. I got the breakfast bowl, sweet potato pancakes, and a blackberry beer. It was all fantastic! Thera was my server and she was so sweet and helpful. I would definitely go back and take family or friends when they visit.

Made a reservation for 1030am and we were seated promptly upon arrival. However the booth next to the kitchen always is not my favorite. The biscuits were very tasty and fresh. Pancakes were great however I requested my bacon burnt and it came out limp. My husband enjoyed his grit bowl with bacon.

Cocktails were too pricey or we would have drank more.

Our server was fantastic as this was our 1st visit and she suggested things and made us feel very welcome!

Lovely place to dine! Fabulous food, yummy drinks, chill atmosphere.

I had the Shoo Mercy Griddle and it was amazing. The chicken was tender and seasoned ok.

Well the setting is just as comfortable and our server, Dylan, was terrific. I was disappointed by the food this time. The grits were dry, the shrimp a bit over cooked,. Luckily, the biscuits were still delicious.

The buttermilk chicken was a little bland. The sweet and spicy chicken was fantastic!!!

We have been to this location a couple of times and the service and food have been excellent. We were celebrating our son’s 21st birthday. Our server was very friendly, professional, and attentive. The food came out with no delays and was excellent. We will definitely be returning to this location in the future.

The service and food was outstanding. We love our waitress, with the butterfly tattoo. she was very so awesome!

We were staying in Greenville for the weekend. Did a quick Google search for restaurants and Tupelo Honey came up. Food was delicious! Jordan, our server gave great suggestions of dishes to try from the menu and offered exceptional service. Will return when back in Greenville!

Great experience as usual! Excellent food, especially sweet potato pancakes. Appreciate the staff serving us outside although chilly.

Great for and superb service!

Service was wonderful! Staff was great! The manager on duty was absolutely wonderful. I had to call the Resturant to make a change and the manager was polite, throughly engaged and provided the best customer service I have had in a while. They stayed engaged with our party the whole time without being overly attentive.

Even with reservation it took 30 minutes to be seated and closing at 8 PM is very early

Not quite as good as the original Tupelo Honey, but still good. Service was great, just wish the food was as good.
