Tupelo is great as always! It was so nice to dine there on the patio. The safety precautions they are taking are relevant, apparent and in no way obtrusive.
Nice job protecting workers and customers. Outdoor seating available, too.
Thankful Tupelo was open again. It was good to see business opening to the best of their ability.
The noise level was so high that I could not hear the person sitting next to me.
For a chicken restaurant, it was terrible. The roasted chicken had been precooked and re heated. It was dry and tasteless. The fried chicken had a soggy, tasteless coating. The biscuit was dense, dry and awful. My best is to avoid the chicken.
Nice open restaurant. Came with a party of eight--service was fairly quick and food was hot and prepared as requested. Will return to try other menu items.
Great as always!
Very nice place to eat a relaxing dinner. The service was excellent and the food was amazing!
This was our first visit to Tupel Honey. This was a great visit. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly.
Great dinner and the fried chicken was awesome!!!
I was really craving some fried chicken but was disappointed by the entree. The chicken was dry and for $11.25 it was lack luster. Oh well.
Andrea was the greatest. She made the experience one of a kind. I’m sure everyone there is superb at their job, but she is crazy fun. It was our first time there, the food was amazing! The cocktails were perfect. Then there was little Miss Crazy Andrea😂 my dad loved her , mom wanted to take her home, my brother and she got in a conversation about Tupelo Trees, and Van Morrison.
Go, enjoy, have fun it’s a great place!
This was our second visit to this Tupelo Honey location. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant for a nice dinner. The food is outstanding. We usually have the egg roll appetizer and then the fried chicken is a must. Needless to say we leave pleasantly full each time. We really like this place. I Highly recommend.
Tupelo is our go-to restaurant in South Asheville. It's as good as the downtown branch but access and parking are better. Love the biscuits and Tupelo honey. We always ask to sit in Murray Lide's section--he's personable and a true professional.
Best breakfast in town with awesome staff! The food was fresh & flavorful & the coffee kept coming. Biscuits, jelly, & honey were excellent starter. Fried green tomatoes are the best we ever had (and that’s saying something from 6 Southern women). French toast & sweet potato pancakes didn’t disappoint either. Our server Jaimi was welcoming, pleasant & very knowledgeable of the menu. She had our table ready for us when we arrived & made our experience an excellent start to our day of adventure in Asheville! So much so that we made reservations here for the next day!
They've remodeled and replaced the booths with tables and chairs. It's a nice, open space. Great atmosphere. The cocktails were great as well as the food.
Had the sweet potato pancakes with fried chicken and the pork shoulder. Both were very good. I wish I lived in the area so I could try other things from the menu.
It was good but they were out of ALOT of things... mac n cheese bites, wings, meatloaf, cauliflower, all burgers and sandwiches and more... we are from Florida and were hoping they’d have everything but they didn’t.
Being somewhat regular satisfied customers, my wife and I were very disappointed this visit because my first order was rejected (politely) by our waitress because you were out of it. Then for each of two vegetables my wife ordered, her original choice and then an alternative because you were out of her first choice, we were told that you were out of that one, too. Then, having ordered just a hamburger, I overheard that I got the last one when a man at an adjacent table ordered one and was told that you were out!
I will presume that there were unusual circumstances that led to this problem so we will consider another visit in the near future. We are hesitant to recommend your restaurant to friends until we do.
ave been to Tupelo Honey multiple times, food was excellent as usual. Ambiance was great although the table was small. Server seemed very preoccupied, asked multiple times for a drink (coffee) refill and had to get a second server to get the refill. This is the only time this has happened at this restaurant..
Food was good, service was excellent. Liked this location better then the downtown Asheville one. Lots more room and parking. Will be back!!
What an amazing Brunch spot in Asheville!! We were lucky to make a reservation for 13 on a Saturday at 12:30. We had 8 adults and 5 children in our party, and everyone left throughly happy and content!
The Apple Cider Mimosa is a must. We started with the Hot Chicken Dip and Crispy Brussel Sprouts which were both amazingly delicious! Then they brought the hot biscuits with blueberry compote, oh my. Thankfully my sister and I were sharing a breakfast plate or I would never had finished it all!!
Highly recommend this spot. We will definitely be back next time we travel near Asheville.
Visited several times. Much more noisy since the remodel If you want a quiet dinner. This may not be the best place Food was just ok but Service persons usually top notch and very attentive Service Gets Top marks But the Noisy atmosphere is draining
Very loud setting. They were out of meatloaf on a Saturday night. Service was great despite being crowded. Prefer the downtown location over this one for sure. Just disappointed.
This is my third time at Tupelo Honey and will not be returning. I felt like I was eating at Granny’s country kitchen. Overpriced entrees with an extremely small glass of wine. The restaurant feel was not good. I came specifically for the Brussels and they were out of them. There were three grocery stores within a quarter mile. How do you run out of Brussels sprouts. Very overrated restaurant.
Brunch on Sunday was the final meal of our Galentine's/foodie weekend in Asheville. We arrived right at noon (our reservation time) and checked in, but it was another 20 minutes before we were seated. (Wait time for walk-ins was 1.5 hours). This is the only negative part of the experience.
Our server was fantastic - charming and efficient. We had biscuits, honey and blackberry jam on the table very quickly. My friends ordered avocado toast and soup, which they loved. I did a make-your-own combo of bacon, pancakes, parmesan potatoes and goat cheese grits. The pancakes were probably the best I've ever had - did not instantly turn to mush. The potatoes were fabulous. The bacon that arrived on the plate was unfortunately limp. I told a passing server (not ours) who had a plate of crisp, perfect bacon in front of me in less than a minute!!! We could not finish, and boxes were produced and bills paid (separate checks) with speed and grace. This is my 3rd visit to Tupelo Honey (other 2 were downtown Asheville) and I can't wait to go back!
Unfortunately we started with a hair in our orange juice. The waiter apologized and brought a new orange juice. After we ordered and received our meal, the eggs were left off the breakfast bowl, they forgot an order of grits and the poached eggs were overcooked. Brought to our waiter’s attention and he did apologize. Never saw a manager and received nothing off the bill. I am a chef and I know how these situations are normally handled. We were totally disappointed with the lack of response.
It was well worth the drive up from Spartanburg. Great food, service and atmosphere. Homerun!
Our food was delicious and our server was very attentive and had a positive attitude.
Tupelo Honey never disappoints we brought some who had never been before Tory was our server and he was awesome! The food and drinks amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
Overall service and food were good. The cheesecake was fabulous, it’s a must!
Staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. Food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Can’t wait to go back.
Wonderful food and service, as always! The Valentine’s Day cocktails were great too!
The food was excellent!!! Try the pork chop!!
This was my first visit to Tupelo Honey. The food was delicious and the staff was great! I will definitely return next time I am in the area!
Ordered the dark meat chicken with one side. Total ripoff. 3 small pieces of chicken that had very little meat. The side was a small amount of veggies. $13 for about $2 worth of food. Went home and had dinner as this clearly did nothing to eliminate my hunger. Won't be returning. Waitress was very nice.
My wife and I went there for Valentine’s Day after previously going there with another couple on New Year’s Eve and thoroughly enjoying dinner. This time, it was a huge disappointment. The fried chicken was very dry and the side of potatoes minuscule. Even the biscuits were overdone. Only the Brussel sprouts were good. Finally, the wine pour was perhaps the smallest I have ever experienced. My wife and I eat out 5-6 times per week and this experience certainly makes us hesitant to return.
Great food and service
Fantastic! Our server was awesome- the food was fantastic!
We always have a great meal at Tupelo Honey.
