Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home. We craft brunches, lunches and suppers that bring family and friends around the table and allow for conversations and cocktails to linger longer than usual. Always scratch-made, always responsibly-sourced.
Please arrive on time with all members in your party present. We will cancel reservations 15 minutes after the scheduled time.
In compliance with the NC mandate please wear a mask upon entry and when moving around the restaurant. Our patio is covered, but it is not heated. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Disgusting 86 rating, which I cannot believe that we did not see until after dining. We were all sick. Open Table should start adding ratings. Anything less than 97 is suspect, less than 93 is gross. The food was not good and not fresh. Disgusting.

This was our first time to this restaurant. This was a special occasion for us as we were going to go to the Hamilton show after dinner. Of course, they are known for waffles and chicken and that is what my teenage daughter and were excited to get. We order and are informed that the waffle maker is broken so there are no waffles. My daughter couldn’t find anything else that she liked on the menu and asked if she could have dessert for dinner. I said “sure, why not.” She ordered the pecan pie. Then was told that they were out of pecan pie. The waitress was very apologetic about everything, I do understand this is not her fault. However, I would’ve hoped that something would be comped on our bill, but that did not happen.

Service was horrible. The staff definitely has the mentality, not my table not my problem. We were some of the last ones in the restaurant and our waiter was MIA. No one else came to check on us, clear our plates, ask if we were ready for the check. They were all busy sweeping, vacuuming, and putting up chairs. Overall uncomfortable and left a sour taste in our mouth. Unfortunate, as the food was decent.

Such a pretty restaurant. Love the decor. Drinks were very good. However, it goes downhill from there. Service was really bad. Sat for over 30 minutes without water. Drinks came before water… we had to ask for water. Ordered appetizers that again, came before water. Appetizers were cold. Who serves biscuits with ice cold hard butter? Main entrees took forever to come out, and when they did our table was still covered in the plates for the apps. It’s like this place doesn’t have bussers to clear the tables at all. Entrees were also lukewarm. It felt as if the kitchen was doing its thing but the wait staff was letting food sit too long before bringing it to the table. Perhaps they were short on staff, but in any case it was pretty disappointing.

My first time coming to this location. We had reservations for Mother's Day, our party was seated with 10 mins. While standing aside the first thing we noticed was the 86.5 sanitation grade from May 6, 2022!!! Our first instinct was to run lol! My friend works with health inspections and I know you have to have a lot of wrongs to get a score that low...We debated other options and wait times, decided to stay and prayed nothing would be crawling across our plate. The food was "ok", I wasn't impressed. We ordered fried pickles and they were burned passed recognition. When we mentioned to the waiter he apologized but looked in awe as not sure what to do, so we let it ride. The chicken was unseasoned and over cooked, mac 'n cheese was dry, shrimp in grits...I've had better. It was a beautiful day, but I will not come back to this location.

The mixed drinks were very skimmed. $13 per drink for just juice. Basically zero alcohol, designed to sell more like in shady bars. Once we brought it to attention, manager refused to correct and was very rude.

I enjoyed Tupelo honey. I went for a date & I can’t honestly say the esthetics are the main attraction, the food is AMAZING! They take their time with every plate to make sure that it is esthetically pleasing, the chef definitely pays attention to detail. The blueberry mimosa was so flavorful! I started off with fried green tomatoes with a bed of grits underneath and I must say I was impressed (I’m a country girl) so they definitely met up to my standards. Mac & cheese taste just like your grandmas homemade Mac, chicken & waffles were good and the chicken was crispy & juicy. I definitely recommend going, you can dress up or down! I recommend booking in advance if possible, but if you’re just stopping by in town they allow you to wait for an open table, so it’s not just only by reservation. I will be back, great servers btw! I can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so I can sit on the patio. 10/10!

The best things to eat for dinner were the biscuits and the banana pudding, but the entrees we picked we would not order again -- the fried chicken and a salad with chicken. The chicken was dried out (overcooked) and the salad didn't have a lot of flavor. The ambience were we sat was kind of like a mall food court -- food all over the floor from families eating there and no one cleaning it up, bright lights, etc. It looked better to sit outside or by the bar. Austin, our server, was awesome. I think it would be a better choice for brunch.

Chicken on my sandwich was tough but overall it was delicious. My friend ordered chicken and waffles. Her chicken was very crispy, meaning over done. For the most part the food was great. The banana pudding was so good I'd drive an hour just for it.

I went here for my Anniversary brunch with my husband and we waited 52 minutes for our good. Once we received our food it was almost cold, which was unexpected due to the long wait for it to come. The chicken was not seasoned and my husband had to keep asking for coffee refills. I will not be returning here in the near future.

It took an hour and 30 mins to get our food. They ran out of multiple items on the menu. The mini dessert was mainly whipped cream. We were told we were getting a discount for the inconveniences but never did.

It was my birthday food was good, a bit pricey but good, However the servers and host need to learn better customer service. I wanted to come here and enjoy my birthday, but the servers and the hostess made me feel as if I did not belong there because of this I do not know if I would come back here.

Was very disappointed with the food. Biscuits were very plain and over cooked, tasted like Bisquick was used. Chicken and waffles was OK but only got one piece of chicken the size of a tender with lots of crust. BLT chicken sandwhich was very good. Mexican corn soup as a side was uneventful.

My wife and I had dinner there prior to attending a show. Although my food was excellent, my wife's meal was the exact opposite. She had the Maui maui which was extremely dry, the lime roasted corn had an extreme amount of lime seasoning, and the collards only tasted of clove. When our waitress asked about the meal, my wife expressed her concerns. At this time the waitress just said I'm sorry and took the plate away. I don't believe the manager was ever informed.
