It was average, waiters should know more when you ask them about the menu. All and all ok but wont go again
Continues to impress me with each dining experience. The food and staff are the best in Notting Hill. I have had the Sesame Prawns, Daiko Cakes, Singapore Fried Rice, Sea Bass, Cod, Pad Thai....The ownership treats you like home! Excellent Wine by the Glass. Highly Recommend!
The service was really good. Very attentive staff especially as I was there for over 2 hours. I would recommend the calamari. Really nice and came out fresh and hot. delicious
The food was amazing however the staff let it down a bit, some of the staff do not seem like they knew what they were doing and their knowledge on the food was poor.
Fantastic overall experience
Sesame Shrimp, Fried Rice, Lettuce Wraps all fantastic. Wines by the glass excellent as well. Service most timely and friendly.
One of the best asian food in London. Absolutely recommended
Overpriced lacking customer service attention.. dry duck and chicken dish expected more for the price. 4 pounds for prawn crackers (sorry lobster crackers) I get better value and taste from my local takeaway. Nice venue though !
Expensive for what it is
Great to be back at Uli's and the food was better than I remembered. Lovely neighbourhood restaurant
Lovely place delicious food
Great food and decent service. However prices for the food were disproportionate
This was my second time visiting, hoping to be pleasently surprised. Unfortunately the food here can be very hit and miss. There's parts that I really enjoyed and other parts not so much. (when given the prices, this shouldn't be the case)
However I do Love the setting of the place.
In terms of Covid parameters - staff are all wearing masks, however not much distancing in terms of seating, which was strange given they weren't that busy.
Fabulous! My first time but I’ll be coming back! Food is excellent! Only downside is it’s a little pricey but everything else was fabulous! Favourites was the pad Thai and sesame prawns!
Lovely ambience and Thai cuisine, genteel service. The perfect settinh for relaxed conversation, well suited to smaller groups & duos.
Very attentive staff, great variety of food and comfortable ambience
Excellent food and service! Lovely atmosphere for a Saturday lunch :)
Great place for lunch.
Really recommend coming here. Food was amazing and service was good.
Will be coming again!
Great meal, healthy and delicious!
Amazing food, lovely atmosphere. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
The duck breast was so dry that it was inedible. The crispy lamb lettuce wraps were also very dry. However, the green curry and spicy scallops were very good. It’s a restaurant where you need to know what to order to have a decent meal.
Great ambience. Delicious food. We are frequent diners at Uli’s and love the Asian fusion ambience and cuisine.
I treated my daughter to a Sunday lunch here as we are fans of Pan Asian cuisine.
We sat outside which was cozy and bright with attractive decore. We were immediately greeted by smiling and attentive staff.
We had prawn dumplings, duck in pancakes, Thai green curry and egg fried noodles. I have to say all dishes were delicious! I would thoroughly recommend the Thai green curry, it wasn’t too hot but full of those wonderful Thai flavours.
We will definitely be returning soon. An absolute pleasure. And reasonably priced too!
Our dinner reservation was not honoured
just feels a bit expenisve given the service and food
No attention to the Covid crisis. Although restaurant was empty they put all diners in one corner of the restaurant without any attempt to leave space between diners.
Poor hygene standard. Coffee was served without sugar. When we ask for sugar the waiter brought two sugar cubes in his hands. The cubes are not wrapped as on the continent.
No waiter wearing masks.
No attempt at distancing.
Birthday dinner, it was great food. The staff could be more friendly and the tables were quite close together but it was a lovely evening!
Lovely food, a little expensive but enjoyed it. Good service. Atmosphere felt a little flat, despite being relatively full of people. Background music when we went in but was turned off as we were getting into our starters and wasn’t put back on...think that’s what did it.
Great restaurant. Really tasty, interesting food, with plenty you won't see on many menus elsewhere. Good wine list too, and some nice Japanese whiskies behind the bar.
The jungle was a dry tofu stir-fry...never have I ever had jungle curry that resembled this...very disappointed😔
Really enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly.
A delicious meal in a lovely, modern setting. It's great to see that Uli's has so successfully relocated from its original home (many years ago) in All Saints Road. Four out of five stars on this particular visit because although the food was excellent, the restaurant was extremely busy (Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, no Notting Hill Carnival, last official day of Eat Out to Help Out) but understaffed. There was quite a long wait at the entrance before one of the two members of staff was able to see to us. The staff were lovely, they just had too many tables to look after.
Really terrible service - we got served something we didn’t order, had to wait 15 minutes every time we needed someone to come by and help us, dishes were left uncleared and dessert (ready made frozen mochis) took ages to come - the serving staff seemed completely out of their depth.
The food was pretty good although the sambal prawns were a huge disappointment- not at all spicy - rather sweet in fact.
Very noisy and lots of kids - we had kids with us,too, so it was fine but absolutely chaotic for couples who had come for a nice peaceful meal.
Very good, attentive staff. Lovely experience
All the food was excellent and there was great range of options. There was a nice vibe in the restaurant and it was busy but not cramped, especially important at the moment. The staff seemed to be rushing us to order at first but otherwise the service was good.
My partner and I had been looking forward to dining at Uli’s as quite a few of our friends consider it their favourite restaurant so our expectations were high. We decided to order a number of small dishes to try as much as possible from the menu. To our surprise, all 6 dishes turned up at the same time and as the tables are small we didn’t have room for it all so they had to take some of it away while we were finishing what we had on the table. None of the dishes were all that great. They looked and tasted the same; the spicy fried calamari were identically presented as the peppercorn salted prawns. Both quite dry as they didn’t come with a dip and were sprinkled with spring onions and chilly. The Pacific five spice pork ribs were also sprinkled with spring onions and chilly which felt like a lack of creativity. We enjoyed the spicy Hunan pork dumplings which were nicely cooked and flavoursome. When our crispy aromatic duck arrived - the dish that we couldn’t originally make space for on the table - it was dry and cold. As all the food arrived simultaneously, we were all done in under an hour. It felt like all they wanted was to have us out of there ASAP. Now on to service. To our surprise, social distancing, sanitisers and masks simply don’t seem to apply at Uli’s. The place was packed and staff don’t wear masks or face shields but they also get unusually close to you which feels uncomfortable in pandemic times. We were observing the Italian restaurant next door where every member of stuff was wearing a mask and the space between the tables applied to the government guidelines. At Uli there was none of it and when I asked our waitress if there was a reason behind the staff at Uli’s not wearing masks she just shrug her shoulders and walked away. We asked for our bill and left minutes later and will not be returning. Not sure if operating like this in Covid times is legal!
On the whole absolutely excellent...just felt the dumplings/summer rolls were every so slightly lacking. Rest was 10/10.
The food was delicious but I found that the service declined after the waiters took our order. They weren't as attentive once we started eating.
Delicious food, without the horribly full feeling after despite eating enough for a village! Service was a bit lax - they forgot our drinks and generally were not that attentive, however, the food made up for it. Nice decor, but music could be changed to build a bit more of an atmosphere
