Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for brunch on Sunday, March 1st. Even though I had reservations for 12 noon.

38th Street Union City. Just don't waste your money. The food is straight up horrible. I'll start with the beef empanada, too much cummin it's all you taste. Entree, the pork had no flavor seasoning. I added salt and still it taste like nothing but the menu says marinated? The black beans, the worse disgusting beans I've ever had. So much cummin you could smell it. It was a bean paste, very thick. Cuban fried rice, oh Jesus 🙄 the chicken/beef taste like freezer. No flavor at all. Yuca frita don't even order it. The only thing that was edible and taste good was the Maduros. Oh and don't order the sangria you'll be very disappointed. The waitress doesn't know the menu, how can that be? Didn't know the difference between mojo and chimichurri sauce or how certain things were cooked. This should be mandatory! The music so loud you can't have a conversation you're basically yelling. I spent $33 dollars and bringing my entire food to a homeless on Park Ave. At least that person will have a meal. I was with 2 other people and they felt the same with their food, they couldn't continue eating it was bad. The bill was $83 and we left so disappointed. This place is nothing like your original establishment in West New York. The chef gets a "F" you should really consider getting a new cook asap.

The ambiance is very nice, esp for the area. Definitely needed in the area and I feel like it can be a spot we visit more often. However, the restaurant paints itself as having Cuban cuisine and online they offered the traditional Bistek Palomilla (Thin Sirloin Steak) on the menu in the reastaurant the waitress didnt even know what we were talking about when we asked. It is Father’s day and my father prefers the Bistek Palomilla over the skirt steak (generally) so I felt bad. He chose the ropa vieja which he rates as “Very Good”. I had a steak sandwich which was made with flank steak so it was a bit too chewy. Traditionally a thinner version of palomilla, cubed or top round steak is used. Def wouldnt have it again. I guess you can call it growing pains as the location still seems pretty new even tho it seems to be open for 1 year. We will def visit again and give it another shot. The tostones rellenos with chicken and croquetas were good. I think the chicken wouldve tasted better had they cooked it like the traditional ropa vieja is cooked but it wasnt bad. The decor and ambiance were great sellers. As a business owner myself customer service is everything and Id suggest they put feedback cards at the tables so they can grow with constructive criticism and the manager should walk around asking patrons if everything is to their liking. You Must be welcoming to keep people coming back. On a Fathers day this place was empty! This is the type of place that id expect to see people lined up outside waiting to come in. I wish them success.

Went for brunch and the experience was awful. Food took over an hour to come out and changes were made to items without telling us and parts of the meals were missing. Took them an hour after us ordering to tell us they had no coffee. Also, less than half of our party was served and were done before the other food even came out. Quality was not even that great. Horrible overall experience, do not recommend.

Good food and ambiance. Music was louder than we wanted but it was a nice place with a kind staff and tasty food and drink. Good burger and delicious shrimp in garlic. The congris and plátanos were authentic and amazing. Good prices, nice sized portions.

We went the first time this week. It was a Monday night, the place was not packed at all. The food was great, staff great, a lot of cocktails choices, very very good prices. The place is pretty and clean. Would recommend and will return definitely!
