Upstairs at Bridges
Nice atmosphere, great food. Recommended to be a fan of seafood though. Nice view. Good for a date.
Everything from being settled at our table, the service, the food and the ambiance were amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone and we certainly will return.
The "city-lights" setting is wonderful and so was the food. We were very happy with the service -- just enough without it being intrusive. I really liked that the restaurant is quiet -- we didn't have to shout to speak to each other. We will definitely be back.
Has to be one of the best views in Vancouver. And certainly not the pub fare like the downstairs at Bridges. The courses were excellent, and short of a tenderloin that was overcooked and sent back (it can happen), the meal was amazing. Service was attentive. We had the dine out Vancouver special menu. Butternut squash soup was velvet. Steak Tartar was world class and the Chocolate Ganache was divine. We will go back.
We went during Dine Out, and the prix fixe upstairs was good. The service, on the other hand...maybe our server was new (she seemed a bit uncertain), but at a certain point she just disappeared. We got and ate our mains, and then we sat for over 30 minutes with empty dishes and glasses on the table -- not even a water refill occurred. She finally came by and said she'd send someone to refill the water (which took another 10 minutes), but rushed off before we could place new drink orders (so we never did). All in all, we were there for 2.5 hours, and most of it was spent sitting, waiting for someone to remember to bring us the dessert that was a part of the prix fixe. We had a guest with us who was visiting Vancouver, and at least the view is nice, but the service was a bit embarrassing.
Great atmosphere and great views. The service was great too
View from the restaurant was beautiful, service was nice, but all the food was extremely flavourless and bland. because of the food at this restaurant I would not recommend coming here to anyone! not worth the time or money.
Food was unfortunately very bland and didn’t feel like it was worth the expensive price tag.
Service was attentive and excellent, and all staff was very friendly. Views are beautiful.
Dine out Vancouver dining.
Great food and friendly servers. The service was a bit slow. Overall a good experience.
We were so impressed with the restaurant, the service, the food ! We ate from the Dine out Vancouver menu ... very good, well worth every penny ! We will be back !
Celebrating a birthday and Bridges was the perfect choice. Our waiter was very attentive, personable and knowledgeable. We chose the dine out menus, which was diverse and we both chose the same appetizer and main but differed on our dessert. The salad was excellent, just enough dressing, not overbearing. The steak was a perfect size and done exactly how we requested, accompanied by very creamy mashed potatoes and root vegetables and roasted broccolini. Very very tasty. Dessert was the Apple Tart with ice cream and the salted chocolate ganache. Yummy!
The menu on the open table website looks quite extensive. However they only offer a set three course menu with extremely limited choices. The restaurant upstairs reminds one of a hospital waiting room except that there was nobody else there. We asked instead to eat in the downstairs, which is a pub but where they offer a better menu choice. Food was just OK and it was very loud. The server was extremely busy but managed to do a great job.
Fuimos a cenar la noche de Año Nuevo , una gran vista de la ciudad
Great hidden secret
We had a great meal on New Year’s Eve.
Great wine pairing with our prix fix meal!!
Excellent New Years Eve dinner. Great location, service and food!
Welcomed politely, seated promptly, served in a polished manner.
Started with the excellent tuna.
We both had the cod mains, which chef accommodated small requests toward.
Room was nearly empty for our 930 seating which showed it off beautifully.
Go here, go late, and go soon.
The atmosphere, service, and delicious meal was well worth the relatively pricey menu. The cod was a generous portion and perfectly cooked. The prawns were well enjoyed. The curry got the lowest marks at our table. Desserts were fantastic. Fast, friendly service and the bill was 15% off since we were going to an Art's Club play. I chose Bridges upstairs primarily because it was a quiet calm venue for a holiday family get together. We all loved the view and appreciate that the floor plan is open and not crowded.
The food was delicious and the ambiance was very romantic. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Awesome view, great service. Food was good but nothing special
Thanks for the 4 star review Alex. We appreciate the feedback!
Every year I go back for my wedding anniversary and every time it is amazing. Food is absolutely wonderful, the staff was friendly and helpful and the ambiance is top notch!
Thanks for the great review Alan! See you next time!
Two steaks had to be sent back as overdone and king crab sent back as very poor quality. Manager dealt with issues and discounted entire bill 25%, deducted the crab and comped the deserts. Good Custer service dealing with issues
Had a wonderful experience. Food was excellent and service was great. Had a good time catching up with friends in a beautiful restaurant. Will be back again soon :)
Thanks for the 5 star review Laura! We appreciate all the great feedback!
Perfect place for a date or birthday celebration! It is beautiful!.
Thanks for the great feedback! We hope to see you soon!
Food and service was wonderful! Our server was attentive and pleasant to talk to and the menu is a bit pricier than downstairs but well worth it. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Sit on the terrace during the summer if you can, the view is stunning!!!
Thanks for the great feedback Helen! See you soon!
I had a really relaxing evening overlooking the water. The tomato soup was really good as was the cajun halibut.
Thanks for the 5 star review LucaC! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
My family and I have dined upstairs at bridges nearly over the past 5 to 6 years or so. The food has always been good. On this occasion, service was unprofessional. It appeared that our server has not been well trained. He is very pleasant but not attentive. Really lacked attention to detail regarding service. Not what we expected from this expensive restaurant.
Can’t beat the view and loved the new menu! The Shrimp Cakes and Halibut were especially great!
Thanks for the great feedback! Looking forward to hosting you and your group again!
I made a reservation here on open table for 9:30 and when I got there the pace was empty all except for the staff who was sitting at a back table eating. My husband and I stated that we have a reservation and one of them told us that since it was dead that they've decided to stop serving food even though they are supposed to be open until 10:30pm. I drove all the way from Tsawwassen just to eat there. It would had been my 2nd time dining upstairs, ive been downstairs several times.
It was nice - fabulous location on the upper patio. The only complaint from our table was the very small serving for king crab legs.
The wine and our (4) dinners were good. The order of a med-rare steak needed a redo. Second time around was better. The ambiance was the most disappointing after making our reservation and counting down the days to meet our dinner-dates on the Friday night of a weekend in the city. I had enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends the last time I was in Vancouver, but we were downstairs, I must admit my expectations were pretty high.
The evening was beautiful - was able to get an outside table for two - great weather and scenery!
Service was very good.. a bit disappointed with not more FISH options - only haddock and salmon... no scallops, but ALL food was delicious and really glad we chose to come to this restaurant - would definitely recommend...
I called to find out if it was a pre fix menu. Had to talk to 4 people before someone knew the menu. Forgot to bring my drink, staff ignored you, Ordered the risotto ($23) was 3 bites and no protien. I added 5 prawns for $8 and they only put 4 on the plate. Ran out of muscles and we were there at 5:00 pm. Children running around restaurant playing hide and seek. The only good thing about this restaurant is the view but you get the same thing at the sand bar. It is cheaper there and a way better experience. Will not be back.
Despite a slight hiccup by not receiving cream with our coffee after asking, our service was very good and professional. We always enjoy the beautiful view and lovely food.
This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Inexcusable lack of service, filthy table, and cold, yet stale, pre packaged starters. Was never notified that their menu was preset at $40, even with a reservation confirmation made over the phone. We were not greeted for 13 minutes, and our table was coffee stained and covered in crumbs. The starter was a basket of grocery store muffins and cold croissants. 50 minutes later, we finally got our brunch. We ordered the exact same thing, and yet they managed to bring us two incorrect orders. I wish I was overexaggerating as to how poor of an experience this was. The waiter did not know the price of any of the drinks, was short and disgruntled the entire time, and never once came to check in. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. I take the aquabus to work everyday, and ensure every tourist knows to not eat at Bridges.
The food wasn’t too exciting. We ordered the Mother’s Day menu and the toast served was over toasted and food wasn’t special. It was okay.
Everything was perfect except for the fact that my gluten-free father didn’t have many options. We wasn’t able to have the starters of baked goods nor the desserts. He was only able to have one of the two gluten free entrees. That was a pretty big bummer. It’s too bad because the rest of the experience was great! The server took a while to get our drinks, but it wasn’t a big deal.
Wouldn’t recommend to gluten free friends.
You come here for the setting. The food was fine, the service was fine, but the setting is outstanding. I am talking about the upstairs portion of the restaurant. Sitting out on the dock is lovely in good weather, but the lounge inside is noisy and has televisions and both spaces are very casual.
For a smart casual restaurant we were disappointed with the very casual welcome and the very casual attire of the hostess. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we were seated at a window table-fabulous view! The menu is very limited but the food was excellent! The service was very good. Overall good but not quite the "smart" evening we were anticipating!
