Vaasu By Atul Kochhar

Bit cramped is what I would say. The food was exquisite but the portion size is small.

The lamb was particularly excellent. Overall what’s not to love about getting a side curry with your curry. Genius.

Pre-lockdown we made a last minute booking for Vaasu having seen Atul Kochhar several times on tv, and really wanted to try his cooking. Very nice decor and mood in the restaurant and staff couldn't have been any better throughout. If anything the starters possibly were better than the main courses but there were fabulous flavours and ideas on the plate and it was a great experience. Not perhaps the very best value all in all, but still very enjoyable. We will return but perhaps only for special occasions.

We ordered the tasting platter and whilst there was a good selection of dishes, we were not wowed by any of them. Ambiance and service was good, just expected more of a taste sensation from the food.

£285 for a couple. Certainly wouldn’t rate this as only ££.

We are masive Atul fans and couldn’t wait to try Vaasu and we knew if would be fab - food was delicious and serhice impeccable as always

All good apart from being very similar or almost the same as Shindu..was hoping for something different..

Fantastic service and very attentive and polite staff. We had already placed our order but then I overheard someone order daal kachori on my next table and I casually told my husband oh we should have ordered that. The next thing we see is us getting complimentary daal kachori being served to us as a starter. Food as with all Atul Kochhar’s restaurants is just amazing always.

Had a great evening at Vaasu with delicious food and great service. Every course was brilliant and the waiters were very attentive.

The only slight negative was the seating as I had to sit directly next to my partner rather than opposite which was a bit strange.

Would definitely recommend and return again.

Menu was adapted as we preferred all fish on the tasting menu and the matching wines with no problem at all .

Tasting menus a must, if not familiar with this style of Indian, not spicy, or hot spice lamb course very disappointed by.. overall a lovely experience..

Excellent food, well presented and good service. Good to be aware that there are different prices for a carafe (amount not specified) and bottle of wine which could be misleading, on the menu.

We had our anniversary dinner and food was excellent. Unique and modern indian flavours. Having visited other restaurants by the same group, i would say service and over all experience is not that great for the price. A lot to improve on service.

We had the tasting menu and paired wines. It was absolutely outstanding. Best meal I think I've ever had. Thank you!

Great experience; a few niggles - the amuse bouche was a tad dry, the pan roasted prawn and monkfish was over cooked and lacked the spice and punch of the other courses and the dum biryani (with the venison main) was also dry. That said, the chicken dish was tasty and imaginative, both the lamb and venison beautifully cooked and the dessert was wonderful.

An amazing experience with the taster menu.
It was difficult to understand the waiter when he was explaining what was in the dishes, due to his strong accent which was hindered more by wearing a mask which was unfortunate as the whole experience would’ve been 100% had we been able to fully understand him. None the less, I would highly recommend and most definitely return.

Atul delivers once more, great food, exceptional service, cost was to be expected.

A quality restaurant with every detail considered. All the staff are clearly highly trained and very friendly. The food was better than I imagined, the lamb main was delicious and the wood pigeon starter was amazing. I will be back after lockdown. Thoroughly recommend

Everything was just perfect! One of my favourite restaurant in Marlow.

Beautiful authentic Indian food. Very different from your normal Indian Restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

Food and service were amazing, will definitely be going back when next in Marlow.

We did the tasting menu with wine pairing - not cheap but incredible value for the amount of food and wine pours.

It’s not a place I would go to again. The food unfortunately is not to a standard that associates with Atul branding. Far from ethnic Indian flavours - I guess ok for the locals

Great food and attentive service. Pricing felt a bit high but maybe we had misunderstood the mission of the restaurant as we had been buying takeaways for a while and assumed there would be more price differentiation with Sindhu.

Opening night at Vaasu did not disapoint. Wonderful food as expected and an impromtu chat with our host Mr Atul Kotchha made our evening. Indian food does not get better than this. We will be regulars for sure.

Dessert - Chocolate Moose.
