Service was slow at first, and overall pretty uneven. The food came out 5 minutes later for part of our party. Room was freezing.

My burger and salad were excellent. My wife's dish was a little spicier than she expected for butter chicken. The waitress was very good but overworked. She handled the whole restaurant on her own when she should have had more support. The wait for the food was longer than expected.

My wife and I went to Varsha for a date night and shared the Chef's Platter. It was excellent, with three different curries, two types of Naan, and a mixed vegetable rice. Highly recommend this menu item, there was more than enough food for the two of us.

Very good food and value for your money. We had the Moms shared plate and it was enough for two.

Food took about an hour to arrive. Server was great. Food was average.

Had a great dinner with the family at Varsha. Ordered loads of food, everything was tasty and we had a good amount of leftovers for our work lunches the next day. The happy hour wine was great and went well with the food too. I would definitely recommend!

So disappointed. Five of us were unhappy with the quality of our meal, other than dessert which was enjoyed by all.

3 of 6 dishes we ordered were not good at all. Avoid chicken tandoori (it is not even close to what tandoori should be like), the pakoras (they were burnt) and the broccoli (served like a huge head of broccoli that we had to ask for a serrated knife to make bite size).

The dinner and ambience was fantastic. We really enjoyed the meal and will be going back soon. Service was excellent

The appetizer Cauliflower 250 was so delicious. I cannot stand cauliflower, but I ate way more than my fair share! Would go back just for this dish. The Lamb Curry was my favourite! Wasn't a fan of the flavour of the butter chicken but the others at my table loved it. Rice was perfect and the sweet Mango Lassi was delicious. Would definitely return as it was a delicious and casual experience.

We really enjoyed the food but unfortunately would have liked a second beverage round at our table. The staff were friendly but perhaps short staffed? They seemed very busy. The portions were a bit smaller than I remember...

Food was rather slow coming out and a table that arrived after us got their food well before we did. But the staff was friendly and the food very good. Will definitely go back.

We had to wait 45 mins for our order. We specifically asked our server to bring us dishes as soon as they are ready in no particular order, but all our food arrived together. All of our dishes were cold when they were brought out. The broccoli was severely undercooked and served in an inconvenient size. The Malai Kofta gravy was sour/tangy (not what it should taste like) and the kofta balls were very hard and dry and hadn't absorbed the gravy at all. The Vegetable Pulao was decent and so was the Paneer Tikka but overall we didn't have a good experience.

Great food. A little slow for server to show up but good service from then on. Annoying flies, food very good, too long between courses as kitchen seemed overwhelmed since a very busy Sunday evening. Worth a repeat visit, needs to be a little cleaner.

My butter chicken was tasty but the lamb and beef curries the rest of my family had were not enjoyed. In fact my daughter didn’t finish hers. She said it was hot (spicy) which she’s OK with but there was no flavour. My husband agreed. I had been to Varsha a few years ago and found the food was better then. I was disappointed as we were there to celebrate a birthday and it was my choice of restaurant. Our server was good.

Worth a visit. Good food and friendly service. Walking distance in downtown Victoria. Butter chicken was awesome. Fish pakora mediocre.

Fantastic food, and the service was very good. It's casual, and a little noisy, but it's on a busy street. My only real issue is that they don't check OpenTable for reservations. It turned out we didn't need one, but if they had been full, our reservation was NOT on their radar.

GO. The food is amazing.

The people in the front of the restaurant are professional and pleasant. However, the same can not be said about whatever goes on in the kitchen. One of the things that we ordered was Chili Chicken. This is fried chicken with a chili sauce, meaning that both items are separately made. My husband likes such stuff whereas I don't. I requested that the two items, prepared separately, could be served separately: fried chicken served separately alongside the chili sauce. That way I could also enjoy the fried chicken sans such sauce. Apparently I was not the first person to make this request, because the waitress immediately responded "No, they won't do it." I then asked if I misunderstood how this was prepared, separately or not. It was, in fact, prepared separately. So why wouldn't they give us the item separately? You tell me. This makes no sense.

Fricken amazing! I may never be able to enjoy Indian food anywhere else. My bar is set very high now.

The food took a REALLY long time to come out, they were busy but didn’t really seem busy enough to justify how long the food truly took.

Dine around menu was OK, the server didn’t tell us it charged more to upgrade to a veggie burger and the dessert wasn’t good. Wish I just ordered the veggie burger.

It’s unfortunate though, I usually love Varsha and think it’s quite good but this experience was poor. My boyfriend and I planned on coming back for our Valentine’s date (like we did last year) but that has changed now.

Service was great, servers were friendly and helpful. However the best food items on the table was the samosa and masala fries and dip, just sides. The lamb burger was bland and dry and tasted like the patty had been frozen or wasnt quite fresh. The butter chicken was uninspired and lacked spice. The broccoli pakoras were oversized (baseball sized) and lacked seasoning of any kind. Sad to say that I won't be going back any time soon. Nice people but poorly executed food.
