Vesta Trattoria & Wine Bar
Always excellent service and food, tonight was no exception. Such a nice evening out.
We were in town for a class that was held at Hotel near LaGuardia.
Originally we were going to go to dinner in Manhattan but changed our mind after seeing how long the cab ride would be. Decided to get on OpenTable and see what was nearby. So happy we did! Vesta was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. If we have an opportunity to go back in the future we will Not pass it up. Highly recommend!!
Excellent food and service.
Service was excellent and friendly. Food spectacular and delicious.
Amazing service and friendly staff!
Had a wonderful time dining at Vesta! We were greeted right away, sat promptly, and had a fantastic server who was attentive and engaging without being overbearing. The quality of the food and wine were spot on. 10/10 will visit again.
The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding! Thanks for making our Valentine’s Day dinner so special!
We visit Vesta often, since we live in the neighborhood. The food is always excellent, we are big fans of the lasagna. We didn't know when we made the reservation that the normal menu would be unavailable.
This review is for the Valentines Day Menu. We thought $75 for a three course prix fixe menu was insanely high, considering the menu options. Vesta would never charge $25 for a small appetizer of fried zucchini blossoms or three oysters, so I am not sure why they did on Valentines Day. Additionally, the baby jesus dessert is normally $8. Why was a smaller portion $25 on Valentines Day? The meal did come with a complimentary sip of champagne in the beginning, but not much. While the food is always great, we will not return for any prix fixe menus.
The food is always amazing - the service even more so. This Valentines day was a prix fixe menu, which was really well done and delicious - however, it was very expensive and on a typical night I might spend a lot less money and leave more satisfied. These speciality night are probably few and far between and it should have been maybe $25 cheaper per person - but any other night Vesta is easily one of the best restaurants in Astoria.
Absolutely love Vesta. One of my favorite restaurants
Delicious food, great atmosphere, fairly priced, and great service! Thanks for a great brunch :)
Great food and atmosphere. We enjoyed ourselves immensely
Phenomenal experience! Jude was so kind and inviting! My mom and I met a super friendly couple seated next to us. The food was delicious, the ambience lovely, and the evening perfect!
Great neighborhood place with consistently excellent food and friendly service. Highly recommend.
This has been our go to Italian restaurant in Astoria for years. The food is consistently on point and with great service. Whether you want some pizza or a bowl of pasta or a more substantial dinner the choices are there for you. David and JC will also guide you in choosing the right wine to accompany your food selections. It's a neighborhood gem !
Excellent food and service in cozy ambience.
The Thanksgiving menu was nice, and the turkey dinner was very satisfying. We were immediately seated at our reservation time, and service was prompt and friendly throughout our meal. We enjoyed drinks and shared desserts, and overall it was a great a Thanksgiving meal.
Main issue is that they are trying to cram too many people into the space. Tables were far too close together, which makes it difficult to have private/intimate conversations.
Good happy hour. Attentive and friendly service. A comfortable environment . Tasty food and bread. Consistent. Will return.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant. Clever food made well. Good wine list. Great desserts. Service was very good.
Brunch with my two sons and their 92-year old grandfather.
The service was very attentive and the food was fast and delicious. I will definitely be back.
Food, wine and serve
Great service and always reliable food and fantastic wine on tap; the Baby Jesus cake is a MUST - do not skip it.
This is our favorite neighborhood spot. The menu never disappoints!
Haven't been here in a few years, but the food and service are as good if not better. The wine choices are
reasonably priced for such quality offerings, and there's an extensive selection of drought beers. Our host Eric explained the wine and food menu, and made everyone feel at home. We shared an heirloom tomato salad, followed by a fettuccine with Manila clams, and an Orecchiette pasta with mixed mushroom sauce. The food is delicious and abundant, and served at the perfect temperature.
You must leave some space in your tummy for the homemade gelato.Overall a great spot for Sunday brunch, dinner, or hanging out at the bar. Loved it!!!
Loved it! Can’t wait to go back. Server was awesome and food was delicious!
My favorite farm to table place in Astoria! Delicious food and wine, and great service!
Super cozy wine place with great food. Highly recommended.
Had a great time. Food and service were fantastic
Delicious, friendly, elegant and casual. A lovely place to dine and spend time.
Always outstanding. I love their seasonal menus. The Porcetta was one of the best pork dishes I have ever had! And finally someone who knows how to make a great succotash!!
Servers were fantastic and very informative. All our food was delicious and flavorful. Will be going back soon hopefully!
It feels like a place where everyone knows everyone but you’re all hanging out at separate tables. Super cozy and welcoming. Great on tap wine! The pasta was delicious!
Casual neighborhood restaurant with very good food and service and pleasant vibe! Great place to enjoy a meal AND a conversation!
Good neighborhood restaurant for entertaining visitors. Food is good. Ribeye was disappointing - sliced thin and over cooked but sauce and spinach made up for it. Porcetta was amazing.
Vesta is a nice place to visit and eat. There meat and cheese board was good. My girlfriend and I ordered the steak and the lamb ragu. The pasta is great, full of flavor. I wasn't thrilled with the steak I'm not sure if it was the seasoning but it was a little out of my wheelhouse of flavor. Portions are a little below average size but the quality is there.
Really good place. Wine was nice. Food was good. My biggest gripe is that the waiter, whole brining over the wine glasses, literally shattered one right over my girlfriends lap and didn’t try to do anything to make for that. He cleaned it and they moved us but there was no attempt at going above or beyond. Then the appetizer that we had ordered way before the glass incident took 20 mins to materialize. Several people who came after us got their full meals before and the app was just a cheese plate.
I don’t fault people for accidents but the overall service just left a lot to be desired. Not awful but not in keeping with the style of restaurant or the prices they charged.
Good date night, food missed the mark but we will still try it again!
Loved the atmosphere. It was such a cute spot. Would come here again for sure!!!!
