Food was nothing special. Overpriced and food was mediocre.
Loved it. LOVED it! The Artichoke appetizer is a revelation, and the Cacio e Pepe is perfect. Husband had the papperdelle with a filet mignon and porcicni ragu and it was unbelievably delicious. The menu is tantalizing, took us a bit of time to choose. Go here and eat here. You will be so happy you did. PS they make a killer good martini.
Food was INCREDIBLE!
Absolutely delicious food and wine, and the service is wonderful! The owner came over to ask how everything was, and was very genuine. My mother, who cooks is Italian and an amazing cook, said it was the best pasta dish she's ever eaten! Will DEFINITELY be returning!
My favorite Italian place in NYC
Me encanta excelente Restaurant
My wife and I came here for Valentine’s Day. They seemed to be a little overbooked but that’s to be expected on V-Day. While waiting, the owner brought us to a quieter area and gave us a free glass of wine. Once we were seated, the service was great and the food was tremendous as always!
Romantic evening with my wife
This was one terrific brunch. They have a wide variety of brunch items and $5 brunch cocktails, so you are not locked into an all you drink scenario but still wont go broke on a couple of cocktails. We ordered appetizers from the main menu and the Tuna Tartare was out of this world. We each had different brunch-food experiences I has a brunch pizza with egg and other items. Two people had fritatas with a salad, and they were great too (yes, I sampled). But the coffee -- to die for. Prix fixe and fabulous.
Service was ok... I asked for sauce for fish on the side and they did not dot that. When I sent it back they basically replated meal . I did not send back again . Also when we asked for tea instead of coffee they said we don’t have tea! We found that strange.
Fantastic service and top of the line food. Nice date place and they have a cool wine tasting thing going on in the back of the restaurant in a separate area.
Our whole family loved it! Menu was great from start to finish.
We went there to have dinner to celebrate a friend birthday, place, services and the food was pretty good. We had an excellent time there highly recommended.
Overall, great service and very good food. Just didn’t expect to spend nearly $200 for 2 people. Dinner and 1 bottle of $39 wine.
Lovely. Astoria. Via Trenta= 30 street. Carcioffini. Veal. On Christmas evening no less. Hope to be back next Christmas! Thank you!
Via Trenta was a very disappointing restaurant. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any occasion.
1. The food and wine are WILDLY overpriced. I have enjoyed better food in nice places in midtown Manhattan, Tribeca and Williamsburg at more reasonable prices than I paid at this Astoria “no tablecloth” restaurant.
2. Staff and management made a serious goof regarding accommodations for a disabled person in my party. One of my guests is an elder person who uses a walker. I messaged the restaurant a week in advance requesting a table that could be accessed without stairs. I repeated my request by telephone the day before the meal. I was assured that there would be no problem. When we arrived, my disabled guest had to climb steps to get to the table. This is inexcusable.
Don’t go to Via Trenta.
I wanted to be seated instead of having to wait at the bar for one more friend who was joining us for dinner. I would understand if it was crowded but it was empty and the manager or whoever the owner is told us to wait at the bar. 5 mins later my girlfriend shows up and we got a table then. Food was okay. Nothing spectacular. I didn't like how the manager or who seemed like the owner kept staring at us while we eat. Like I had no privacy to talk about anything private because he was all up on our faces. I didn't like the guy so I won't be back.
Went for my sisters birthday and as always the food and wait staff were outstanding. Thank you for making it a special night.
Great service and the food was very fairly priced. We were a party of ten and things went extremely smoothly. Would recommend to anyone.
Dinner with great friends who came to visit from Kansas City and took them to our goto Italian delicious, always on point restaurant. Antonio and staff provided impeccable service as always. Thanks for a really enjoyable evening.
Had an excellent meal with great service.
I wanted our experience at Via Trenta to be so much better than it was. When we walked in, I said I had a reservation. They just started pulling tables together to create a space for 5. We sat 2 and 2, with one person (me) at the head of the table. The tables were so close together that the servers kept bumping into all of us. It felt like they hadn't taken into account our reservation. When the waiter came to take our order, we said we were ready to put in appetizers but not meals. The waiter said the kitchen was too busy and he needed everything at once. The restaurant didn't feel busy enough to warrant this request. I did not like being forced to order everything at once. The highlight of the meal was the sautéed artichokes we ordered as an appetizer. And the burrata was excellent. The chicken parmesan was good, but I felt that the pasta that came with it was over-cooked. I indicated on my reservation through Open Table that the dinner was for a birthday. I was disappointed that when we ordered dessert the staff did not sing or put a candle in the crème brûlée like they did for another table celebrating a birthday nearby.
It was good.
En lo particular buena comida buen ambiente excelente atenciones y buen trato
We had a great experience. Our server, Prego, was attentive but not overbearing. We were a large group of 8. Our food was excellent, drinks were always full, including our water glasses. We were treated to after dinner drinks, which was a nice touch! We would love to dine at Via Trenta again.
Cocktails were overpriced. Food was good. Limited wine list. Desserts average. Overall a decent neighborhood restaurant.
Excellent service. Food was wonderful! An enjoyable evening.....
My bridal proposal brunch!!! Love the service it was very relaxed
Ate outside and waiter was very helpful with suggestions. Definitely coming back
The servers and owners are just so sweet. They really excel in serving quality, classic Italian dishes. The flavors are so simple and the food so well prepared.
Service was amazing...great staff. Food is average and the ownership needs to pay more attention to it's customers.
Great food, great attentive server. Excellent value
Excellent late night dinner. Appertizers of Beet Salad and the Prosciutto de Parma and Mozzarella was great. Pastas were perfect.
Service by Tommy was first class.
Don’t understand the other negative reviews. We highly recommend.
Good food. Good service.
Overnight Flight delay at LaGuardia brought us to this little gem of a restaurant in a lovely neighborhood.
Via Trenta is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. My go to in Astoria. Great service, amazing hand made pasta, fairly priced wine list and food.
I was pleasantly surprised. I live near this restaurant and always wanted to try it but never did. The food was good. A little overpriced but good. The portions are rather small and the menu is limited.
The food was good, particularly the bass, but the top notch service and attention is what will have me come back to this place.
very enjoyable and great food choices
