Victoria Harbour House

Everything was fabulous, despite covid! My only very mild comment is that the coffee could have been much hotter!

The food wasn’t bad, but it was very plain. And it was expensive, so the value proposition just isn’t there for us. The ambiance was that of an old folks lodge. One of the most concerning things was how poor their Covid protocols were. Servers wore face shields but without masks, so that when seated, clients were potentially exposed to the server’s breathing. The tables were not at all thoroughly wiped down, both for our own liking and compared to other restaurants. We changed tables, which was nice of them to accommodate, but we never saw them wipe down the table we had left. It made us uncomfortable and we left as quickly as possible after finishing our food. We won’t be going back.

Food was perfect. Kitchen was able to well accommodate allergies. Waiter was charming, very persersonable and professional.

We've not been out for dinner much this year, but this was an excellent choice for a rare occasion. (It was my birthday.) We went there with our bubble, and greatly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service. We'll certainly be going back.

The best dinner in ages! a quiet, romantic evening with amazing food! The chef prepared our meal special order as with Covid, things change. No table side chateaubriand but they whipped it up in the kitchen for us and it was mouth watering!! Service was impeccable. Ambiance!!! The perfect place for romance!!! You must eat here!!!

This restaurant is always good and try to get there on every visit to the Island.

Great hideaway in the midst of downtown. A little old fashioned, but this is Victoria!

Lack of face mask on server was concerning. The person who sat us had one on. A face shield does not replace a mask. The server had a cigarette then returned to the table and the smell was very strong. Food was good just overpriced.

Older restaurant. Could do with some refreshing carpets washrooms etcGood location. Parking . Wide ranging menu.

2/3 meals were great!
both customers loved their pastas.
however, the steak n lobster special was less then desired.
lobster tail was good. but the steak quality was brutal.
i could have fotten a better steak at denny’s restuarant.
each tried and thought was poor-fair quality of meat.
service from server was great no knock on him.
just the quality of the steak n lobster was brutal.
will i go back or go to a chain like the keg?!
i dunno.

One of the old gang, waiter Bob, has come back out of retirement and with him the impeccable level of service that built the famous Harbour House reputation.

Now if only he could coax Herman ( the stealth waiter) to return as well!

Our waiters were so attentive. Wonderful service. We enjoyed the pasta dishes!

My parents ate here on their honeymoon 34 years ago, and my mom suggested we look it up while on our honeymoon. I’m so glad we did! The food was amazing, our server was incredible, and the ambiance was perfect. Best meal of our entire trip, by far. Will recommend to everyone!

used to visit this restaurant all the time when harry was owner , then chris.... was much better !!! no cheese toast sauce .. steak was dry , Rockefeller was tough !! no seasoning on vegetables

my wifes meal was good mine .. not at all for 200 bucks expect much more

dont like to write bad reviews but no one seemed too worried there ... in days gone buy the manage or owner would check in to see all was ok

Bob the waiter made our night!! The food was excellent, service beyond reproach. This is not the place to go for a quick and cheap dinner. Not that the food was slow, it's just that Harbour House is the place to go for a dining experience. We made an evening of it and the combination of outstanding food and service made for a memorable evening. All things considered the value for money was very good on the food, but the booze was a tad overpriced.

An incredible evening out. The service was top notch and the food was amazing.
Our waiter helped us pick out a wine since we are not very knowledgeable in that area. And it was a perfect match. Will definitely come back the next time we are in Victoria.

One of our favorite restaurants and we have eaten at many throughout the world. The food is divine and the service and location exemplary!! Bob our waiter was outstanding as always! Hope to return soon!!

First time at the Victoria Harbour House. Very enjoyable evening. Salad and soup were mediocre however entrees were delicious. Would definitely go back.

Spectacular service. Great steak and seafood. Reasonably priced wines. Overall worthwhile.

The location of the restaurant as well as the ambience inside the restaurant make it a truly wonderful Victoria experience.

Nice little place , service was great. Food was terrible ! For being right off the main hub downtown , I’m surprised they have been in business for 40 years ! Ordered steak and lobster , lobster was rubbery and steak was tasteless and chewy. My husband also ordered best steak on menu and was bland and chewy as well. Creme brûlée was watery , disappointed ☹️ I thought at least get the dessert right. Nope.
