Prime rib was delicious and cooked to order. Sides could have been hotter. Service was terrific.

Didn't realize the restaurant wasn't open until 1145 during the week until we arrived. The sign on the door didn't have updated hours and the opentable app allowed us to make a reservation. Ended up going to a nearby restaurant instead.

Spent early New Year’s Eve lunch it was safe and clean brought my grand daughter n her family had a great time hats house makers great touch sorry we missed the prime rib will come back after 4:00 someday for that

Best lobster rolls around! That’s initially why we drove from out of town. We had a great experience and outstanding service. We also tried the beef stew and fried haddock sandwich which were both top notch. We love this place - one of our favorite places in the area (and we have been to a lot of them). Highly recommend and will be back soon!

We went here for a low-key family birthday celebration. The food was good, service was great and we were very pleased. We will definitely go back.

The Village Tavern is a nice and quaint restaurant located in the downtwon area of Salem. It has a very diverse menu that contains options for all different type of eaters.

It was great to be able to eat outdoors. The menu was extensive and the food was delicious. The menu had great GF options.

The burgers are great! Try them and you won’t be disappointed👍

Great place to stop and have a drink in Salem. Yes of course these days you can’t go anywhere and forced to get something to eat with covid. We had the fried avacados and delicious. Huge tavern and very clean

First time visiting Salem. Found the Village Tavern on a website, decided to try. Glad we did. Food was so good. Would definitely return. Server which was a bartender bc we sat at the bar, was friendly and fast!

Made reservations in September to visit during Halloween/covid with a group of 6-8. We arrived and they said they weren’t honoring reservations for the month of October. Understandable, but wish they had notified me sooner as getting a table for that big of a party during these eventful times is a big challenge. After a 45min wait, they finally seated us and it was delish! Worth the wait!

Well, we planned a special lunch for our twins. We told the waitress it was their birthdays. There was no special anything. Most restaurants will have a candle placed in a dessert or a scoop of ice cream. Our waitress did nothing.

The food was good. The waitress was absent and didn’t come around enough. Oddly the chowder came out with the food instead of before the meals.

Couldn't ask for anything more. Covid rules were followed. We had a great spot outside and felt safe the whole time. Our server was great and very accomodating. This isn't fine dining but it's perfect bar food and a fun atomosphere.

It was great having lunch outside. Food was great! Especially the prime rib egg rolls. It was a lovely day to sit outside and enjoy the food and sidewalk entertainment.

Food was excellent as was the service. I ordered the steak tips and they were the best ever, tender and not fatty just the way I love them. Also, cooked perfect. My party was 4 and all got different meals and everyone loved them. One other got the Surf & Turf, another Rodeo Burger, and the other the chicken sandwich. All were excellent. Service was very good. Social Distancing was perfect as we sat outside. The rest rooms were spotless. I would not suggest eating inside in the evening on weekend. The place was packed with college kids and not much social distancing going on. I was very surprised to see so many, it was a Friday night. Overall, will be returning!

We have never eaten here before. We were looking for outside dining and figured we’d try it. Glad we did. Food and service we’re excellent. They cleaned and disinfected before we sat down. Viewed menu via QR code. Tables were distanced. The pretzels were SO good! Had that with the Village IPA and a cup of French onion soup. My daughter got a burger and sweet potato fries, which were delicious. All great choices! We’ll definitely be back.

Great local tavern with good food and a fun atmosphere.

In these trying times, we only eat out maybe once every two months. We had the write choice this time. Not only were the entrees terrific, but everything else was too, right down to the bread and vegetables.

Great food

We were not big fans of the fried pickles and the drinks were a bit on the weak side. My burger came overcooked but they made me another one. Unfortunately they took my truffle fries with them and brought back the same ones with my new burger so they were cold by then. My boyfriend said enjoy his dinner and my second burger was delicious

This restaurant was phenomenal! From the hostess to our waitress everyone was great. I got the steak tips which were amazing as well. They were very professional considering everything going on with COVID. I highly recommend this place!

Have had better food while than my last visit, would attribute to slight busyness. Genevieve was great!
