Villaggio is always excellent; a great Italian meal on The Cape. The portions are large so plan to take have leftovers. The Italian Passion is always great - a little bit of everything, chicken, veal and eggplant. It's great to go off-season as in the summer they are very busy.
completely random visit, loved building, small rooms, wait staff, food menu, and preparation. Already recommended to others. If in area, would return.
The food was fabulous and the service was top notch. Really enjoyed ourselves.
Once again we celebrated a " special occasion " at the Villaggio and once again we got a scrumptious meal with excellent service. This has been our "go to place " for years and it never fails to deliver, from wonderful ( perhaps the best on the Cape ) Italian dishes to prime steaks , no matter what you order you are sure to savor it .
Food was very good. Service was even better. There were a lot of noisy inconsiderate people in there that night but it’s not the restaurants fault. We will definitely go back.
This was a surprisingly pleasant experience! We went on Saturday night, day after Valentine's Day. Even though the restaurant was very busy, service was very good and the food was excellent. Prices are a bit high, but food is delicious, and portions are huge, so you'll be taking another serving home with you!
We have been a few times. Think they overbooked in Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation along with the 10 other people waiting to be seated. Ended up eating at the bar.
Very busy Valentine's Day. The waitress seemed stressed and flustered. After a long wait for our meals I was concerned that they would arrive cold however they were piping hot and delicious. I think the kitchen did a great job considering how busy it was but would like to see an improvement in the service especially in a restaurant at this price point. Of course, this was only one server that I experienced.
We're regulars who took a chance and dined out on Valentine's Day. It was a short wait, but the staff all seemed extremely stressed. All in all it was a very nice experience. Here's what wasn't nice. A female server complaining audibly in front of patrons, "I'll NEVER work another holiday again, ever!" A server being unnecessarily snippy and sarcastic to the diners beside us, actually ordering a woman to "LOOK at me, the answer isn't on your menu, it's HERE," while pointing to his face. Just, wow. Our server was polite to us and our meals were good. A little lesson on etiquette for the waitstaff would go a long way toward making a good eatery better. One last thing. Think about 86'ing the cumbersome huge nutcracker collection (why?) in the enormous cabinet that crowds your entry/waiting area.
Noisy, Servers struggled to cart food around due to lines and closeness of tables. Food was ok.
Excellent food and service
I am a 45 year resident of Cape Cod, and have to say that this was one of the best meals that I have had on Cape Cod. The food, service and ambiance were all top notch. We will definitely go back!
Absolutely delicious as always! I love Italian food but don’t like garlic. No worries Chef Jay made my veal parmigiana without it and it was excellent!!
It was very homey and very nice people. Food was good service was expected. But pricey for we had.
Great restaurant service is the best! Food is great!
The staff is very friendly.
The other members of our group had good meals, I had a special, linguine and clams which had WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC. Service was spotty. Delicious freshly baked bread and oil for dipping
Possibly the best Italian restaurant on the Cape. Villaggio has become our" go to" restaurant for special occasions . Its cozy atmosphere combined with great food and service make any meal feel like a special occasion . The food preparation and presentation is sublime and its signature dishes are sure to please even the most discriminating palate . The order ahead Tomahawk Steak is a carnivores dream and the combo Italian dishes are huge and guarantee a take home bag . The Birthday Blast desert is one of the most unbelievable deserts that we have ever experienced. So make any occasion special and make plans for the Villaggio soon.
Very cozy ambience in the tavern. Menu is quite extensive and portions are large. Small but decent wine list and really good cocktails. Our server Eileen was delightful.
We were celebrating our daughter’s 30th birthday. They provided us with a perfect private dining room that was warm and cozy. The food was delicious, and our waiter, Tim, really made the whole experience so memorable. So special!!
We were seated adjacent to the bar area and right next to an instrumental/vocal duet (keyboard @ sax).
It was New Year's Eve and when we requested a different table location, we were told it was the only one available. Shortly thereafter, a table set for 3 in a remote area was changed to 2. We should have been moved to that or another table per our request.
Our time and dinner at Villagio was amazing. It started with being brought to our table by the owner's uncle to the great service and fabulous food. It was definitely not too expensive for what we enjoyed, a wonderful italian place to dine!
Everything was delicious and made to order. Excellent service and staff.
First of all, this is a restaurant of tiny rooms and unless you are part of a large group, the noise can be overwhelming. Secondly, half the restaurant is located up a steep staircase on the second floor and the wait staff has to carry huge trays of gigantic portions of food up the staircase. The one server we had, who was terrific was practically the only person we saw, there seemed to be a dearth of support for her and she was overwhelmed with serving 17 people in this tiny space. Lastly, while the portions were enormous and the food quality was mediocre at best. Two highlights were clams casino and eggplant rollatini. The veal was third grade and chewy. Be forewarned!
Excellant food. Outstanding service. Beautiful restored historic house.
Great cocktails and wonderful interesting, imaginative menu. Warm special atmosphere
Excellent food and service
I would recommend Villaggio Ristorante to my friends. As soon as we walked in the door and were greeted by the friendly, funny, happy hostess we felt at home. Our waitress was so helpful and prompt. The appetizers, main courses and drinks were beyond our expectations. Not only was the food great but the portions were huge. Great value for the price.
Can' t wait to visit again soon.
Best food in long time. Love the old school atmosphere, and our waitress was fantastic. Would come back any time.
The food was way overpriced. The service and ambiance were fine.
My real picatta was drowning sauce. The waitress got my order wrong but before she put it in incorrectly she came back and asked again for my order. I wanted to surprise my friend with a dessert with a candle and the waitress came over and said, Oh I hear we are celebrating a birthday. "
As seasonal residents of the Cape we've talked about going here to eat many times. Others had told us it was the best Italian food on the inner Cape. Food did not disappoint. In our group of six just about everybody gave the food very positive reviews. Will definitely be coming back.
We went to Villagio for Thanksgiving Dinner. It took more than an hour, after we ordered, to get our dinner. Our food had no taste. It was so bland. . One person in our party got oysters and said they were the worst oysters he has ever had. Someone else order steak and it was not cooked medium, it was rare. The other meals weren’t good. The prices were extremely high considering the quality of the food. The waitress was nice but never asked if we wanted dessert and did not give us and itemized bill. She never came by the table to say that dinner was coming even though it was running so late. Thanksgiving , last year, at Villagio , was better than this year. We will NOT be eating at Villagio again. It is too bad, because at one time, this restaurant was really good.
We're new to the Cape and decided to try Villaggio after reading reviews, for Thanksgiving. We arrived at our reserved time, 2:30PM. The restaurant wasn't very crowded. It took almost 5 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge our presence. We each ordered a glass of wine. This took almost 10 minutes to get, even though the bar was within sight and, again, not busy. We ordered an appetizer....that took almost 1/2 hour to receive....it was clams casino, which we've had many times. This order was the most unusual....lots of chopped red pepper, garlic and chopped up clam....couldn't taste the clams, the garlic was overpowering. We decided that $45.00 for a turkey dinner (no appetizer, dessert included in the price) was ridiculous, so we ordered a seafood entree. The delivery of these meals was approx. 1 hour, and neither was anything special.
The noise level was so unpleasant. There was a fellow playing accordion, which, initially, was charming. But after more than an hour, playing so nearby, conversation was difficult and it became arduous. Add to that, a diner sitting directly behind me was loud and obnoxious.
We were soooo happy to finally get out of there. We spent 2 hours waiting for food and assaulted by noise. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
The quality of the food is very good at Villagio, but the service is inconsistent. It took a long time for the two beers ordered as drinks arrived, and while our server was friendly and attentive when she was serving us, she seemed to be covering more than one room, so often disappeared for chunks of time. The portions are larger than necessary, so most diners can expect to take home leftovers for the next day.
Don't miss it, Villagio is all around unreal
Request Tim as your server! The chef is outstanding.
Great food and friendly staff. Ambiance is nice in the tavern or quieter in the restaurant.
We had a lovely time at Villaggio! The food was wonderful and we had plenty left over to bring home for the next day. Dessert was also very good!
Always delicious. our waiter TIM is awesome we love joking around with him. Never a boring time.
So lucky to live down the street!
Delicious food. Beautiful interior. Friendly staff. Thank you.
