Always love Vinci -- it's a wonderful neighborhood spot with great service and the veal tagliatelle is amazing.
I will never visit again. There was no one at the door or bar to seat us, so there was no point in making a reservation. It took us a solid 10 minutes to flag someone down to help us and honestly, I should have just left. The food and drinks were subpar.
We ordered chicken liver pate, trout almondine and mussels. All were excellent.
We had a great meal. It was in a back room which was quiet. My dad is hard of hearing so that was perfect. The food was marvelous. Great selection of wine and beer.
Food was great and the cocktails sublime.
The eggplant appetizer was great. Nice touch to have gluten free bread. Hen was moist.
We sat outside on a beautiful evening. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful with food recommendations. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. We ordered the Spaghetti and the Pappardelle based on our waiters suggestion.
We finished the meal sharing the Tiramasu for dessert! WOW best I've had.
We will definitely got back!
Charming place, excellent food. My SO said it was the best meal she has ever had in Chicago. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive and the bartender was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
We really loved our meal at Vinci. We started off with the grilled sausage as an appetizer and it was fantastic--so flavorful. My wife had the spaghetti and I went with the chicken saltimbocca. I've never had chicken saltimbocca before--if the one at Vinci is anything to go by, I've found my favorite chicken dish ever! We wrapped it up by splitting the cappuccino cheesecake and it was perfect. We were both stuffed--portions are generous and the *perfect* cup of coffee at the end of the meal really tied it all together.
The service is always attentive and lovely at Vinci's. The brunch was delicious as were the Bellinis. Was grateful to be outside but we were essentially eating on the sidewalk.
Wonderful service. Food was flavorful.
Vinci is a great Italian restaurant! Consistently delicious food, friendly, efficient service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I can’t wait for Steppenwolf Theatre to re-open so Vinci gets it’s clientele base back!
Loved the meatball appetizer, rigatoni, and ravioli!! service was soo great, what a treat!
Fantastic Italian culinary experience without much of the fuss normally associated with Italian restaurants of similar quality. This place is a hidden gem.
The ambience and service are excellent and the wine dinner was wonderful and a great value!
We used to dine here over 25 years ago when we lived in Chicago and subscribed to Steppenwolf. We loved it then and our memories did not lie. This is a family restaurant where each person truly cares about what they do. Take time to chat with your servers - it is worth every moment.
OK, but food not aligned with price. Great service with very friendly staff.
The bartender provided a wine tasting to members of our party who arrived early. All five of us loved our meals from Eggs Benedict to frittatas to Italian eggs. Spectacular Bloody Mary's too. The affrigatos with vanilla gelato were out of this world. Very helpful and friendly waitstaff. We're so glad Vince survived Covid!
Good food and good service. Very relaxing ambiance.
Vinci is a consistent favorite for us. Always great food, great service and perfect ambience. Inside and outside, it's a must-go-to restaurant in Chicago.
Vinci is always reliable, and it was particularly pleasant to sit out at a sidewalk table on a beautiful summer day. Our cocktails were excellent and started lunch on a tasty note. Our pastas were solid. The shared dessert was only so-so, but I didn’t have much appetite left at that point. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive.
Enjoyed the company, food and outside dining. Wait staff were excellent.
Food was delicious! So many gluten free options too which was great.
The mushroom gnocchi is to die for! Had a great chat with the maitre d’, Clyde, who couldn’t have more charming. On my list of favorites!
Our party of 4 ordered a mushroom pizza as an appetizer. DELICIOUS! I had mussel appetizer as a main dish. I'm a mussel lover and this is my favorite version (in a basil tomato broth). Plus, this time the mussels were a good size (not always the case).
Mother's Day brunch was delicious! Eating Gluten Free in an Italian restaurant is not always easy, but they had many options from appetizers thru dessert. Service was terrifc.
Food and service was 10/10. It was a bit quiet in there but there weren’t that many people inside. Will be coming again and again!
Excellent service and enthusiasm. Food very good.
I ate here for the first time as a kid in the 1990's and it was still great all the years later.
We have been going to Vinci since it opened in 1992. The food is still delicious and the decor hasn’t changed. The service was spectacular. We had a fabulous date night. Sadly, there were only a few other couples in the whole restaurant. The bathrooms did have a foul smell (the water?)... hope it survives these Covid times!
Once a favorite, I wonder if quality was a reflection of the pandemic and its toll on restaurants in general. I wish I could say I would give Vinci another try.
was there for brunch, cocktails and fritata were good, bacon, not so much. Look forward to trying the dinner menu, service was nice.
Great service, delicious food !
This spot is just around the corner from me, I've been there countless times. Great food, great service, feels like home.
Love Vinci for years. Brunch has delicious and different egg dishes plus more!
Perfect Italian restaurant!
Vinci was absolutely incredible! It is a neighborhood gem, with a classic American-Italian vibe.
The food was delicious - we got the sausage, gnocchi, and hanger steak. Each item was cooked to perfection.
I go here every time with my Italian family every time they come in town. They love it because it’s authentic and we will keep coming back.
It had been years since I was there and although this place is a little understated, everything was fantastic. Extra special thank you to the staff for the special accommodation they provided me driving there... I won’t mention here. Food and wine was exceptional. Will not wait this long to go back!
