They were super accommodating and let us order off the pre fixe menu. Food was delicious. Adorable setting, attentive staff.
The place looks nice, the wine display is awesome. Unfortunately, that's it. We showed up at 8:10 pm for an 8:15 pm reservation. We stood (only 1 SMALL bench to sit on, which we let a hangry pregnant woman have) and waited until 8:55 pm for a table. The staff was obviously overwhelmed, and it showed on their faces. The fixed menu price of $79 per person (an additional $35/person wine pairing) was pretty steep, considering we left unsatisfied, as while tasty, the portions were small. There are SO many restaurants in Northern Virginia, they're going to have to step up their game.
Made reservations for Valentines Day 3 weeks out. Reservation was for 6:45. We finally got seated at 7:30 only to discover they had a very limited fixed price menu for $79/person. We left. They should tell you that when you reserve.
Dessert was a failure. Dinner was great, scallops an filet perfectly prepared.
Went for Valentine's Day. Made a reservation thinking it would overcome the reviews that said service was slow. Well, it was still slow. Only $79 Prix Fixe menu available. My filet was good, but wife's scallops were undercooked. Dinner for two just shouldn't take 2.5 hours. On the good side, great selection of wines that are reasonably priced. HH wine was $6/glass regardless of normal price. Also, management recovered well for the issues, but the expectation is we don't have issues.
Very pretty space. The staff is kind but unskilled. I waited 20 minutes for a drink after ordering a bottle of wine. The list is not written, instead you must accompany the staff to the storage area to select the bottle. Then you must wait for white to be chilled. The presentation of the wine is excellent, but the service is overall frustrating. Requests are kindly accomodated, tho, so patience is rewarded. Food is okay.
Great food, excellent wine. Like others have said the service was a little slow, but we were not in a rush and the evening was fantastic. Definitely recommend for a great dinner out.
We possibly caught them on a busy weekend night. Over 1 hour from table to delivery of food, some of which needed to be sent back because it was under cooked. Manager recovered very well by assigning one of the wine bar staff to our table ... who was fantastic. So while our initial impressions were bad, the food was very good, and the wine bar staff has good wine knowledge. We would go back.
Fantastic night! Delicious meal and great service!!
Had great dining experience at Vino Bistro! Our Server was excellent and was very attentive. Food was all very good. Only comment I would make is Endive Salad while delicious was difficult to eat with topping of walnuts and blue cheese as they didn't adhere to salad. Loved the combo but maybe would work better if served differently or with a dressing mixed in. Had French Onion Soup, Filet and Chicken and all were wonderful.
Great meal with the price fixe menu. Good value and food and waiter were excellent. Food was a little slow to come out but the food is very good. Allergy friendly too.
The kitchen was overwhelmed. It took over an hour to get our order. 40 minutes into the wait they told my husband they ran out of what he ordered. When we finally got the food his was wrong. So they had to take it back and we waited another 20 minutes. So I ate alone and he lost his appetite and took it home for the next day. The owner came to apologize but never offered compensation. Not sure if we’ll be back.
Very long wait for food, but excellent waiter. Fish was way overcooked for two of us. Meat was cooked well. Great wine.
Vino Bistro is a wonderful restaurant that we frequent often. Miriam is the best waitress and Michael always comes to your table to greet you and make you feel welcomed.
Food was really good. It was steak night, and we ordered the flat iron and rib eye. Both were perfectly cooked, and the Brussels sprouts were delish. We choose a bottle of Spanish Tempranillo at the suggestion of the waiter, and it was great. Service was very attentive. Overall a very nice experience.
The staff is awesome, always!!
First time in. The food was very good - cod and salmon. The salads were pretty small. The server was MIA much of the time. But we really enjoyed the food. We’ll be back to try other things.
Never disappointed with their food or wines.
Great food and drink. The atmosphere is top notch. Owner Michael is a super friendly host.
Fabulous, well prepared food and awesome wine list that is carefully selected and doesn’t break the bank. Steak frites, lamb, seafood are done so well- I’ve eaten here 4 times and try something new every time. So far, I’ve found the kitchen to be consistently great. And the service is friendly too.
Awesome service and good! We will be back
Great restaurant! The menu and the wine were both outstanding!
Well worth it. The Brussels sprouts were bitter and a bit more al dente then I like. The gnocchi was amazing. Great wine selection.
First visit to new venue. Outstanding food, great wine selection and great service. Disappointed not seeing Michael but he has a smooth running ship!!
First, I love the fact we can buy really good wines at about retail versus restaurant prices. Interesting concept. Second, the food pairing is also interesting and very solid selection. Great place for fun couples night out.
We were looking for a lively venue for dinner with friends with a good wine/beverage menu, modern food offerings and bonus points for the AL/LSU game. #RTR Vino Bistro seemed to fit the bill. I was excited to find the classic Aviation cocktail on the menu - a great start! Love a good charcuterie board; check. We enjoyed speaking with owner and sommelier Michael as he helped us select 2 very good wines at great price points for a restaurant. The menu had a solid variety of interesting options to fit all tastes. Ultimately 2 of the 4 of us chose steak. Sadly one came out so rare (both ordered medium) it had to be sent back. At about this same point, wines served and food delivered, the service also became far less attentive. Odd for a small and seemingly well-staffed restaurant. This was fine while we enjoyed our meals and conversation, but we eventually struggled to obtain and pay our bill to leave. We noticed Michael was gone, maybe service drops off after he leaves?
This was not a cheap dinner so we will need to try again to see if the value is there. I hope so as Leesburg can always use a new creative spot. I definitely recommend trying out the wines by the bottle for excellent selection and pricing.
The wine selection is great and the wait staff really knows their stuff! Always great recommendations. Food is excellent, and the kitchen is extremely accommodating to food allergies
Vino Bistro offers Great food, wine and drink. I highly recommend.
Girls dinner and it was fantastic!
Had a very nice dinner at Vino Bistro. Food and drinks were excellent but service was a little off. They seemed a little shorthanded and had to track server down several times. Wanted to order dessert but finally gave up. Other than that, we really like menu and will give them another try.
It was very nice
Wonderful dinner and our wait staff was superb! Our requests for splitting dinners and unusual cocktails were met with patience, kindness and graciousness. Everything was delicious and enjoyed by all 4 of our party.
We had a table near the open garage door and the temperature was perfect. Just like sitting on the patio. Good food wine and friendly service.
Love the wine selection and variety choices of food! It’s our 3rd visit and everything was excellent as usual. We love coming here as always enjoy the outdoor seating and warm welcome from the staff and owner! Great place!
There were four of us who decided to dine here after reading great reviews. It was still Loudoun Restaurant Week so we got to try appetizers, entrees, and desserts for a great price. Plus they also had a wide variety of wines choices. All of us enjoyed our apps and meals and were very impressed with our choices. The desserts were delicious as well. We will definitely return!!
This was my first time at this restaurant, I came for Restaurant Week lunch. I had the pork belly appetizer which I was told would be crispy was just tough it; appeared as a disheveled dish and was rather bland and tasteless. I ordered the cheese grits with shrimp and chorizo. The shrimp were really small and overcooked while the grits had lumps. This was particularly disappointing since I had attended another Restaurant Week lunch just a few days earlier; that restaurant had prepared an excellent meal with large shrimp and creamy grits that were well seasoned and spicy. For dessert I had ordered the key lime tart; unfortunately the tart shell crust was soft and the key lime filling was rather unremarkable with a large dollop of whipped cream.
I informed the server about my disappointment with the meal, specifically the dessert. She offered a replacement but having experienced such displeasure with all three courses; I just wanted to leave.
The restaurant was not full for lunch, we were in no rush during our dining experience so I believe this is just the way they execute their menu items on a regular basis.
I would not recommend this restaurant and their are far better choices for Restaurant Week than this.
The food was great. I would definitely like to go again. However, on this particular night, the service was pretty slow. I will grant that it was restaurant week in Loudoun County and there was a live band playing outside. However, by the end of the meal, most of the place had cleared out and service was still pretty slow.
We had a great meal, happy hour pricing wine by the glass and the Loudoun county restaurant week menu. Shrimp and Grits and the lamb shank.
Love the wine festivals, we attened the Pinot festival. Perfect to pair wine tasting with lunch.
We found out about Vino Bistro when we went to a farewell party recently. The apps were wonderful, plentiful and wines were superb.
My husband and I went to dinner there this weekend and were so very pleased.
We will definitely be back.
It can be a good value for you money but it depends what one orders from the menu. The highest price dinner, was appx. $36. However, they had good choices for much less.
People brought their young children and I don’t think this is the best place for them unless they are seated outside, where it is much more family friendly.
It is not too large inside so we happened to be leaving when a family with not such well behaved young children were seated very near.
