Vivaldis Restaurant

We were so disappointed. They accepted our reservation for Christmas Day. We were on vacation and we planned our whole Christmas dinner around this place. They were closed. No message, no report through open table. Just bad form. I am fine with them being closed, but someone clearly forgot to tell open table.

It is not Italian. It has changed ownership and they Are trying a new menu. We ordered 4 dishes. Pulled lamb. Crab penne with garlic and oil. Steamed vegetables. Garden salad. Only the pulled lamb was restaurant quality. The other dishes had little taste and were not hot.

Lovely and elegant restaurant. Had kangaroo medallions which were perfectly cooked and delicious. Wife had pan seared barramundi whic was likewise delectable. BlackBerry apple crumble ala mode was to die for.

We had a great meal for our first night in Australia. The menu included item unique to Australia. The service was great.

Had a very relaxed evening at Vivaldi's on Sunday. Great table on the verandah and attentive staff . The steak was cooked just as requested and was very delicious - we all ordered the same meal but at different degrees of cooking and they were all spot on, and the accompanying vegetables were crisp and fresh.
Will definitely be returning.

The food was excellent. We shared the mussels has an entree, for mains I had the Black Angus Beef Filet and my partner had the Spatchcock, for dessert we shared the Blackberry and Apple Crumble. All excellent and the right amount of food. The service was also very good, attentive and very familar with the menu. We were seated on the balcony which gave good views over the southern end of the esplanade, but was not level as the surface was sloped to a water drain. I would return.

We went for our Wedding Anniversary. Had a relaxing & enjoyable evening. Will be back.

I felt the children meals were very ordinary for the price , the adult meals were good but not great I was expecting more. Staff were not friendly

Hard working owner and staff. Special meal and setting. Has to be among very best in Cairns. Highly recommend.

I was searching for Cairns best affordable restaurants with a verandah view and came across Vivaldis (Close friends recommended also) to take my wife to for our 28 th anniversary ,I am very happy i picked Vivaldis as the service ,friendliness ,food,views were very impressive we will be back and have recommended to all of friends and work mates .
Makes us proud to be Locals to be able to enjoy going to a restaurant with views of the Cairns Esplanade and Service to match

We choose Vivaldis for our first dinner as a married couple, food , service were excellent everything from entree to main and desert were first class highly recommend to anyone visiting

Food was really enjoyable but let down by the very slow service.

Had a magnificent meal for my partners birthday. Fantastic menu and great prices. Will go again. Maybe a simple happy birthday or something would be the only complaint but it was booked online so they might not have been forwarded on the message.

This was just what we were needing, a quiet restaurant with elegant ambience and amazing food. The staff were brilliant (perhaps even a bit over-attentive) and the chef even came out to see if we were happy with the meal.
With such beautiful food and surroundings I would have expected the prices to be over-the-top but they were on par with any other restaurant and very reasonable.
I will definitely be returning.

Lovely night out, food menu had some nice twists and wine selection was good. Service excellent! Open table booking was not received by Vivaldis, luckily for us it was a quiet night and we got a table.

Beautiful location with a view over Cairns esplanade. The staff were very tentative and the food was delicious. 3 of us dined (including one who's a chef) and there were no complaints. Soups was delicious and breads were fresh and tasty. Steak was cooked perfectly as was the lamb and all ingredients complimented each other. I had the tempura sushi which was delicious but probably the only dish which wasn't worth it's price. The food was well matched with a good wine with cocktails to finish. Very happy with everything. Will be back and highly recommend it.

Fantastic value! The menu offered a great range which suited everyone in our group. Service was perfect - attentive but not fussy or rushed. And the ambience & location were ideal for balcony dining overlooking the lagoon/esplanade. Will be back soon!

Was very impressed in the chef coming out to discuss my husbands dietery requirements. And providing an excellent meal for both of us. The table service was exceptional staff were on the ball ready to help great place to eat.

Since the restaurant is very well situated and provides its food menu online, we booked a table for four persons. It was off-season and the restaurant wasn't very crowded, nevertheless we were amazed by the friendly and professional staff, the nice outdoor ambiance and, last but not least, by the perfect food.
