Was really busy but they still booked out tables. We booked a 20:15 table and got seated at 21:00. Also the table we were sat at had a previous customers drink on it. I would recommend if they managed better as food was nice.
Very good and happy with the price/quality
Food was lovely, service was good, we would definitely go back and eat there again.
Food was amazing staff very helpful would recommend crnt wait to go back!
Was very quiet as we were there on a Monday evening just before going into the tier 3 restrictions. The food was a step up from normal Indian fare. Had dishes we had never heard of before! Service was superb. Will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes.
We went for the first time and couldn’t fault a single thing. The service and the food was excellent
I booked a reservation for 7pm and arrived 5 minuets early. I stood at the door for 10 whole minuets before anyone greeted me - both manager and wait staff walked past me several times and didn’t even think to give me a menu. The couple behind me also had a reservation which meant that we were both missed our slots by 20 minuets by the time we were actually seated. I understand that it’s a busy time, but when you allow customers to make reservations then you have to ensure that there is enough turn around time. Once seated, my order wasn’t taken until 7:45pm. Luckily I had no other plans for the evening. The food was averagely priced but the portions were very small. The drinks arrived fairly quickly but the food didn’t come until at 8:15pm - at this point, I had been in the restaurant for over an hour and still hadn’t eaten. We ended up chatting to our 3 nearest tables who were also complaining about how slow the service was. The food did taste good but we all agreed that we wouldn’t return due to the lack of care and attention. The staff were not rude, but could have been more attentive. Once we had finished eating, no one came to collect our plates or ask if we wanted more drinks or dessert. The night ended with the waitress giving us our bill and telling us to go to the nearest cash machine because the card reader doesn’t work. Such a shame about the experience because the food was generally okay.
Amazing food !! Best in Manchester. Service was excellent
Took my sister out for a surprise bday 🎉. Enjoyed everything about Wah Ji Wah. Great food, decor, service (despite the fact that there was only one waiting staff).
Had sharing platter - chicken and fish tickled the pallette most
Gosht Banjara - hits the right spots of you like spices
Amachur kaaju karela - what a delight - who knew bitter gourd can be so delicious
....and fab proper tandoor roti - dhaaba style
Authentic Indian cuisine so a must try...
Food lived up to the reviews. Great starter of mashed potatoes stuffed with dates and with yogurt and chutney. Both had lamb main courses which were very tender and very flavourful. Naans amazingly light. Thoroughly recommend
When ordering starters I ordered Onion Bhajis one of which was ice cold.
We also asked for a jug of water when the waiter was taking the drinks orders which they completely forgot about and had to ask for again when the mains were served.
When the mains were served they had forgotten to give us any plates or cutlery.
Everyone of us ordered a chicken dish which was not cooked properly was extremely chewy.
We booked a table at this restaurant based on the high ratings and good reviews it has but was left completely disappointed.
The food was 1st rate - wasn't particularly happy with being charged a service charge on the bill. It was only a party of 3, so don't understand the need. Surely a tip is a personal choice? We weren't given an option which is wrong.
Another delicious meal as always, and service was great
It was a nice experience there. The restaurant is not very big, so if you want to have a meal there, I woul recommend booking a table before hand.
Been here many times. The food is always outstanding and of authentic Indian quality. Always fresh and decent portion sizes and would put it up there with one of the best in Manchester. Poor and slow service tends to be a theme and this should be addressed to ensure customers come back. Need more attentive waiters who actually know how to serve guests, deliver food and drink timely and improve the experience.
We have been here now 5 times and every time the food never fails. It's always hot and tastes fresh.
We took our friends and they absolutely loved it as well. Got to be the best authentic Indian restaurant in Manchester in my opinion.
We first placed the order and then they said that the whole section ‘special dishes’ wasn’t available as it was going to take too long to serve, which was weird as we already had our starters when they came to us with this feedback. I then ordered a standard curry, but the lamb was still very pink and bloody in the middle. The door was wide open and it was quite chilly in there too. It is usually a good place to eat, but this ‘eat out scheme’ has definitely impacted both quality and service.
Lovely food! Lovely staff! Lovely place! Would highly recommend as an avid eater of Indian Food. Spicy (the server asked if we liked it spicy) lamb dish was tender and flavoursome, really good! Will be back. 5 star
Really nice and tasty food, all very fresh. Missed the typical onions on the popadoms but other than that spot on!
We arrived around 10pm at which point the restaurant was closing but the head chef was kind enough to continue service for the two of us and delivered very nice food. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance, you feel at ease and the cocktails are delicious.
My husband and I were lucky to get a table on the day, and enjoyed an early 6pm dinner, the restaurant was fairly quiet to start, but was filling up whilst we dined. The food was delicious, and we shared two starters, the Peshawari Lamb Chop and the Lasooni Murgh Tikka, both dishes were so succulent, tender and flavoured. For main I chose the Goan Fish Curry, there was plenty of 'meaty' fish in the dish and the gravy/sauce was so smooth and tasty, and really well spiced. My husband chose the Murgh Tikka Masala, again his was delicious and we left nothing. We accompanied the meal with a Coconut Rice and a Tandori Rota. I keep thinking about that fish curry, and can't wait to go again to have another one!!
The service was awful the restaurant isn’t very big inside and food was very standard
Great food
Exceptional service
Food fab as always. All Social Distancing measures in place and felt very safe place to dine. Was lovely to see the restaurant busy with happy satisfied customers. Had to wait a while for our table to be ready but this was down to people not vacating the tables after their meals fast enough considering the current climate.
Given seat for 10ppl when it was a booking for two. starters were OK but main meal disappointing.
Cocktails, wine and starters were excellent. Service was ok but the main dish was disappointing compared to previous experiences here.
We have been here 4 times now and can't wait to go back it's excellent by far the best Indian restaurant in Manchester.
Excellent food and great service. Fresh food cooked to order in an open kitchen.
The best vegan curry in Manchester!
We had chilli garlic mushrooms and vegan chicken pepper fry to start, vegan-chicken tikka masala and Dum ki biryani for main meal.
Couldn't fault either, they were superb. Such lovely service too and the cocktail and mocktails were very nice too. Will certainly be visiting again soon.
The food was delicious but due to Eat out to help out scheme, the staff were clearly stretched very thin. Our reservation wasn't written down but we were seated straight away. Covid regulations seemed to be hit and miss with tables too close together and a table of 16 behind us. Food was absolutely spot on and the servers were very polite but we were given the bill and asked to leave as soon as we finished our mains (1h30mins) as there were people waiting for our tables, even though we had just ordered more drinks. If we were informed of a 1h30min slot we would have ordered differently. Still great food and will come back once covid regulations die down.
Food excellent. Disappointed with the service and the amount of people in such a small space given the current circumstances! Would return just for the food!
They overcharged me and didn’t realise till after. The bill came to £25 and i gave £40 as I had no change and only got £5 change and realised after but didn’t have my receipt to go back after to challenger as the waiter had taken it off me. Won’t be dining here again.
Great food, exceptional quality, fresh and authentic.
Only criticism was my friends starter took and absolute age to arrive. As we waited our starters got cold.
Otherwise the service was very good and the chef/owner took time to talk to use.
Highly recommend this if you like authentic food from India.
Amazing food and service
Everything about our visit was fabulous. The service, the drinks and the food exceeded our expectations. This is very much an authentic Indian restaurant and we will definitely be back soon.
Food okay, nothing to shout about and lacked a bit of oomph that you'd expect from an Indian.
Waiter wiped the table while we were still sat down, which is off-putting.
Amazing food- this is our third visit and it did not disappoint!
Food was delicious, lamb not as tender as we are used to hence 4 stars not 5 but overall, really enjoyed the meal and would recommend.
Interesting menu, and the best Indian food I have tasted in a long time. Very friendly service.
Really lovely food - flavourful but not overpowering, attentive staff, very clean restaurant. We will be back
