Made reservation through Open Table for Sunday evening November 8, 2020. Reservation was confirmed but Walker Street Grill was closed when we arrived. Saw two other parties with reservations at the same time milling around outside complaining about the wasted trip and waste of time. I agreed wholeheartedly. Very very poor service on the part of the management. Would have appreciated a call or text that the restaurant was going to be closed before we drove there.
Meal was delicious. Restaurant's service was engaging, polite and very helpful. Enjoyed the ambiance of the dining room and the fantastic location.
The restaurant is very nice and the servers were excellent. The food was just average. We both had steaks which were pricey and below average in terms of quality. The portion sizes on the sides were okay but not special. The Caesar salad was outstanding. As far as COVID cleanliness I thought the restaurant did an excellent job with good spacing. They have a very nice solarium with open windows if you want to dine inside and had quite a bit of outdoor dining available.
Excellent everything! Salad was fresh, soup was flavorful, entrees were perfect. We sat outside and enjoyed the food, drinks and the sun.
Excellent food and wonderful service!! I thought the presentations were wonderful and reasonably priced.
We chose Walker Street Grill for our anniversary dinner.
Absolutely loved it!
Our waiter, Kellen, was warm, helpful and attentive.
My husband and I shared the butternut squash bisque.
It was perfectly seasoned. I had the braised short ribs over mashed sweet potatoes-wonderful!
For dessert, we shared the lemon blueberry cake - so yummy!
There was lovely piano music playing throughout our meal and the ambiance was classy, not stuffy!
I also felt the prices were reasonable.
All in all, a great special dinner!
We had an unbelievably great meal and fantastic cocktails at the Walker St. Grill but sadly there were no other customers on the bleak Thursday night until another couple arrived around 8:00. We were greeted warmly, had a drink by the fire, then were treated to an exceptional dinner, followed by port - in front of another fireplace in the Norman Rockwell room. All is in order from a Covid perspective- Prices are more than fair. Will certainly return.
Everything was just perfect!
Loved our waiter Kellen- he was amazing. Food was good.
Service was very attentive. We ate outside, which got a bit cold, but they did have heaters.
Kellan (sp?) was the most friendliest, accommodating and attentive server. He made the visit to this restaurant worth it.
Our meals were fine. Apps were simple and straightforward (calamari and wings); entree special of short rib was delicious, two order of the rib eye was cooked well, but the strip steak wasn’t cooked medium, but not bad enough to send back.
The dining room was just boring, no vibe, no decor. Not meant for special occasions.
Visited the Walker Street Grill over the weekend whilst exploring the fall foliage in the Berkshires.
Positives - Steaks cooked to right temperature but completely under seasoned and flavourless. Butternut bisque on the other hand was way over seasoned. Hard to believe that it was made in the same kitchen . Service was pleasant but at times had to look for service that was tied up chatting with the receptionist.
Negatives - Lack of ambiance, no table decor, felt very basic. No music, drab lighting, it was just a dull experience overall and a sad one.
Had the food been delicious- then the ambiance can slip, but in this case was a double disappointment and would not recommend or plan to return.
Great food. Service a bit slow but that’s because the place was so busy. Recommend but leave extra time for a bit of a wait. It’s worth it.
We had a wonderful dinner at Walker St. Grill over the weekend on their outdoor dining patio. There were heating lamps which made it more comfortable on this crisp October night. I had a delicious spiced bourbon drink with my arugula and goat cheese salad and seared tuna. My teenage children enjoyed the fried calamari, a black bean burger, and the pasta special of the night. Our server Kellan was cheerful and attentive. It was an overall wonderful experience and felt safe. Thank you!
The food is very over priced for how basic it is.
I will say the wait staff was attentive but two of the orders at my table came incorrectly.
We all had a great time but not sure it had much to do with the place but rather the company.
Fair but limited menu, good service, helpful staff but a bit sterile atmosphere
Service is OK. Food is disappointing. We went there for a brunch: no fresh squeezed juice, avocado toast with industrial avocado cream, not great quality jam in the Benedict eggs. Expected better food with local or fresh products.
Had a great dinner on Friday, 10/2/20. Excellent food, service and prices weren’t bad. Of course it’s a bit different during the virus, but we had a table in the bar area and it was very comfortable!
Met friends for lunch here and had a wonderful time! Sat out on an enclosed porch that offered lovely garden views. Staff was very welcoming, attentive and helpful. We thought the menu had nice choices and everything we ordered was truly delicious! Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely stop here again!
I guess new management took over recently and renamed the restaurant Walker Street Grill.
Small portions. Small menu. Not bad but not great either.
It was okay. The food and service was somewhat lacking.
We had brunch on Saturday afternoon under a large tent set up on the Inn’s front lawn surrounded by shrubs and shade trees. Tables were spaced well apart. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and served hot and at an even pace. My family felt very comfortable dining here and we enjoyed a terrific meal.
This was probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had, especially for the upscale face Walker Street portrays. I have never given a negative review for a restaurant and I am super easygoing and understanding. We were seated inside and it was so cold! We were right by the door that goes outside and every time it opened there was a gust of wind that came in and froze us. My mom ordered soup and they were out of all soup. I ordered a glass of wine to pair with dinner I was ordering but then was told they were out of the steak tips. I had my 9yr old twins who ordered cheeseburgers and they were brought the adult burgers instead, which would have been okay I guess if they were good but the taste was so off. They were grass-fed burgers, but I order all of my meat from butchers box, which is all grass fed and the quality was definitely not similar. I tried it myself and confirmed with my kids it did not taste good. A positive is that my dish was really good, it was the stuffed chicken and there is not anything I can say bad about it. Our waiter would constantly walk past us and was not attentive. We waited for 15 minutes with everyone finished to receive a check. I went 3 times to find our waiter to ask for things, and I am never one to do that. The ambiance, there was a party of 4 women who swore probably every other word and who were extremely loud. I know Walker Street could not control this, but it was just another negative part of the experience. To finish everything off, my mom and I were splitting the bill - we have different colored cards and both parts of the bill were just charged to one card...twice. To say this was an unpleasant experience is an understatement. We visit the area often and wanted to try somewhere new and I was in extreme disappointment.
Food was DELICIOUS, Waiter was great!! We were outside a beautiful night.
Our first time dining at the Walker Syreet Grill. It was an excellent experience. Our server was great and accommodating. The food was exceptional and not over priced. My margarita was delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
Excellent food and service in a beautiful outdoor setting. Leave room for dessert!
Let's start by stating that the venue was very nice, food was very good and the staff from the maitre d to the persons cleaning the tables were very friendly and accommodating. Then there was our waiter.
Drinks and app order were ok, until we over-heard that there were specials for both apps and dinner but were never informed. All other tables had water, but ours. Meal order must have gone in late because it was about 1 hour between the apps and the meal. Persons that arrived much later than us were eating before us. This culminated with a very long process getting the check and waiting for the payment processing, which ended with "sorry I don't have a pen". Obviously this young man was out of his league.
We enjoyed our experience at Walker Street Grill. The wait staff was excellent and very accommodating and the food was delicious.
It is too bad you don't have an additional tent to accommodate more diners because your lawn is a perfect setting.
I would mention that you should have votive candles on the tables because when it starts to get dark - it all looks too dreary.
I understand you are changing the menu to something more formal. I think that can be a mistake. The idea that you are a "grill" with the menu you offered was very appealing.
Hope this review provides some insight. So you know, I am not a tourist. I have a home here and spend half of my life in the Berkshires.
We had an excellent meal at the Walker Street Grill. Our server Kellen was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, and the location is beautiful- we ate outdoors and watched the sun setting as we dined! We look forward to visiting again soon.
Kellen took great care of us. The food and drinks were delicious. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the outdoor dining experience was fabulous.
Food was very good and very different. The server Kellen really made the evening, he was knowledgeable and funny. We will definitely be going back
Walker Street Grille is set up for outside dining or inside dining based on people's preference at this challenging time. I sat outside and the setting was lovely and calming. My dinner was perfectly prepared and really delicious. Service was attentive and responsive. I am here on a short visit, or I would be a regular. Highly recommended.
Food was not fresh and poor quality. Service was slow and tables were poorly cleaned. Reuben was made with stale bread and meat was tasteless. Disappointing as reviews had been so good.
Food was good but not great, steaks not tender, salads disappointing, service and ambience were excellent. Would go again, hoping things improve.
Beautiful night. We’ll be back soon. Excellent food and service.
This restaurant recently opened at The Gateways Inn under new management and was just fabulous! Tables are under a tent roof in the front yard at a social distance and mask wearing is required. The menu is varied and includes a wide range of sandwiches, salads, entrees and creative combinations. The food was extremely fresh and delicious. Our waiter was gracious and helpful, yet unobtrusive. We will definitely be back since there are lots of items we want to try and we had an extremely pleasant experience.
Great under tent - perfect for a warm summer evening
Magical to have the sunset and string lights come up onside the large white tent on the lawn in downtowm Lenox. Menu is varied and well priced. Food was well prepared and the service very welcoming and good. Pasta dish perfectly cooked and generous. Steak done correctly, fries good, tuna tacos nicely presented -tacos could have been better quality. All in all happy to return!
Lovely venue during these challenging times and excellent service.
Walker Street Grille is our new "go-to" spot for lunch in Lenox. Attentive staff, freshly made, generous and delicious portions!
