This is a beautiful restaurant with outstanding food and service. We had dinner here during restaurant week and the food was absolutely delicious. Very creative dishes with options for both omnivores and vegetarians. Our server Laura was fantastic! Highly recommended. We will definitely be back to try the regular menu.
We went for GB restaurant week and everything was amazing. The food was very unique, we were big fans of the smoked old fashioneds. We will be back again!
Our overall experience was fantastic. We went for restaurant week and couldn’t say enough great things about food or waitress.
Attended during restaurant week and chose from the preset menu. For the appetizer I had the candied sweet potato. This was essentially over dressed salad with 4 quarter inch box sized pieces of sweet potato.
For the entree I had the Petite Filet with Pommes Aligot, shallot demi and broccolini.
The steak was a good grade of meat but overcooked, which was good because it explained the paste like non salted mashed potatoes. The demi was cold and the 3 broccoli heads there were was undercooked.
The black forest cake was the best part of the meal.
I would have expressed my disappointment to my waitress or the manager had either of them checked. As it is, the ambiance was nice and the noise level wasn't bad. I may go back for a libation but not for the food.
Overall a great place and the ambience was amazing! Friendly wait staff and the Bartender was helpful as he did explain a few cocktails.

Loved our Dining, Beautiful Resturant, great food and great service. Most relaxed evening out and best meal of the year! Our appetizers , of Tempura shrimp and Waygu Beef Crostini were Just so delicious, definitely want those both again, I had the Petite Filet, just cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth, my husband couldn’t say enough about his Ribeye! For desert finished it off with Strawberry & Ghost Pepper Cheesecake! Perfect ending to the evening.

A lovely elegant retro decor sets the scene for an upscale dining experience. White linen tables are the backdrop for drinks and plates of food ordered. It was the start of Restaurant Week in Green Bay so the regular menu was scaled down as the focus was on the special Restaurant Week prefixed offerings. In addition, it was a Friday evening so the dining room was very busy. Ordering from the Restaurant Week menu adding a salad and side dish veggie from the main menu we dined on Smoked Trout Blini, which could have been topped with a dollop of creme fraiche as it was a tad on the dry side yet full of flavor, Ceasar salad, Blackened Mahi-Mahi with a puntenesca ratatouille and crunchy polenta fritters, so tasty, Rabbit Cassoulet (nice to see rabbit offered!) and a Strawberry-Ghost Pepper Cheesecake which the Ghost Pepper flavor was sprinkled on a piece of white chocolate and not in the cheesecake so not as I expected. We appreciated the portion size of our food so that we could still have room to enjoy all the servings ordered. Our server was pleasant, efficent and accomodating to our diet restriction requests. Always appreciate the variety on the regular menu which is seasonal so it switches up during the year. A notable dining establishment!
The dining experience was fine, however, the woodwork on the walls was VERY DIRTY and DUSTY. Since we were seated right next to the wall, it was not pleasant to look at. Please have the staff clean the place up!
Restaurant had just reopened for service, and my medium rare filet was medium. Advised the manager so he would know, but didn't request or expect a change. Our waitress, however, bought us a dessert. The elk was fabulous!
Everything from service,venue,food,etc was awesome, our server was wonderful! Perfect place to have an awesome meal while relaxing.

Overall it was a good experience with emphasis on experience. The atmosphere itself was probably the best thing about the visit; ambiance and attention to details were evident. Service was good; when we asked for recommendations regarding the menu, we were told all of the food is amazing. Personally not a fan of the menu being on a tablet. We had to jump back and forth to look at the descriptions of items. Menu did lean more Contemporary American which seemed to contrast the atmosphere.
Food itself was on the under seasoned side (lobster bisque, walnut room salad, crab cake, salmon). It was good but not we were expecting based on the price. Overall the most flavorful item was the relish tray with house made pickles.
Would go again for a drink at the bar but that would be about it.
Our experience was fantastic! We had everyone from a 12 year old to a 91 year old and everyone found something perfect for them on the menu - and the dessert menu! We have very few dining "experiences" left these days. It was a real treat to enjoy a delicious dinner in a beautiful environment. We dined leisurely and savored the experience. Our server was fantastic and we loved talking with her. She was very knowledgeable. Thank you for making our evening out perfect!
We decided to treat ourselves to a nice night out and went the The Walnut Room for the first time and greatly enjoyed the dining experience. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. The chairs, however were slightly too low for us and the table was rather wide, so that was a slight detractor. And, I would have liked some light background music but overall we had a great time! Recommend it!!
My friend and I are seniors, so prefer early dining. This was our second visit. Too bad there isn't a senior menu to select from, but no matter, we ordered the bone-in rib eye and shared it. Guy was kind enough to present the meal with personal plates for each of us. THE BEST RIBEYE either of has ever enjoyed! The dining room is so gorgeous, we feel like royalty! Very much worth the price for a fine dining experience. We both highly recommend it.

Set in a beautiful historic building which helped the overall experience. I’ve been here twice and both times the service was painfully slow. First time the waitress took 15 min to arrive at our table to greet us and we were not impressed with her, she was not a fine dining server and was not able to provide adequate service at the level this restaurant should have; we skipped bottle service because we felt the waitress couldn’t handle it. Second experience was much like the first but with a different server. Food was just okay on both occasions.
Neither of us had ever been to a restaurant that fancy before, but it was an absolutely amazing experience!

This was a special Valentine's Day menu that presented limited choices, and, at least in our experience, was not up to the usual standards of the Walnut Room. We were seated in a noisy side room next to large party, which should not have been done, esp. given that many empty tables for two remained in the main dining room. The service was very slow, and the food selection pretty limited. The main courses came with a starch but no vegetable, which is not typical for the restaurant. The desert was average, whereas the regular menu deserts are quite good.
We loved our Server Ryan, and really enjoyed our food. Went for Sunday Brunch. Would definitely go back. My only suggestion, they could offer a better breakfast potato, or at least more than the one kind. Otherwise really enjoyed everything else. Will definitely be going again.

It was a great atmosphere! The drink prices were a tad high, but that’s typical for a restaurant in a hotel. My server was very nice.
We were very impressed with the bar service. Staff was very knowledgeable with all cocktails and was enjoyable to watch perfection in motion. Dinner was different. The online menu was extensive and we were looking forward to trying some of the offerings listed only to discover that the actual menu only had about 30% of those listed online. The onion soup was not as expected the salad was not as expected. The bone in ribeye had a great charred flavor and was enjoyable. The scallops were acceptable but not exceptional. Desert was very good. Overall not a place we are anxious to dine again. Would definitely revisit the bar.
When we made the reservation online, I was only able to hold a table and not reserve because of high demand. When we arrived at the Walnut Room we were one of two tables so I do not understand the discrepancy...this almost caused us to look for another restaurant.
The atmosphere is incredible and the service is top tier. The food was good but I think for the price a little lacking. We had ordered the bone-in ribeye which was wonderfully flavorful and cooked perfectly and also the fillet which was over-prepared and the Gorgonzola over-powered the steak . That said, The server offered to prepare a new steak but I hate holding up the meal (and for the price the temp should have been right on) I would still recommend the Walnut Room for the ambiance and the service, it was a dining experience.
Dined for my birthday and it was fantastic! Service was great, the waitress had excellent recommendations and my water glass was always full! The ribeye was done as desired, and my to be wife’s chicken was delicious!

Went for the new brunch menu and our first experience with the walnut room. Amazing atmosphere and outstanding food.
Date with the wife. Restaurant was beautiful. Service was excellent. Appetizers were well presented and tasted good. She had the stuffed trout and I had the swordfish as a main course. Presentation was nice and cook on both was good. We had the creme brûlée for desert and enjoyed the variety of flavors. Food was good, service was great. We will go again
We had a table of 6 for New Year’s Eve. The food was very good. The service was spectacular. We all had a great time.
We had dinner on NYE. Menu was preset. It was delicious but too much. Would’ve preferred to order from main menu. Very pricey
