OpenTable let us book a tale even though the pub was shut. Very disappointing that we could not dine after making a booking.

Food was great, unfortunately table was right next to the grease trap from the kitchen and the odour was offensive to say the least.

In saying this, once the temperature went down the smell did subside.

Staff were very accommodating with us moving around until smell reduced.

I had the pork ribs they were delicious 😋
The atmosphere was great and they cocktails were amazing

The Venue obviously could not cater for school students so they probably shouldn’t offer to have their event at the west oaks considering there was not enough room for all of us and the waiters spoke very impolite to us students. Next year hold this event at a bigger Venue so that school kids don’t miss out and everyone can have a fun and enjoyable night

Staff were very friendly and helpful but food was not good at all. Very oily, not tasty fish. The beef in the rueben sandwich was too thick and not good quality.

Food was okay - a little pricey for serving size. I ordered the Fish and Chips and I left hungry still.
It was very loud, and its was very cold inside. Doors were left open so the outside breeze made its way through the entire place.
Honestly probably wont go back there again.

This place is just fantastic. It delivers a perfect balance of an all-classic pub with top-quality service. Expect to be very pleased with the food. And definitely grab a cocktail. Best piña coladas around.

Corn chip crumbed chicken schnitty was next level. Good range of beer and wine. Service was immaculate.

Reservation was for 11 people and I'm very lucky that there were only the seven of us in the end as there is no way all of us would have fit on the table we were assigned. Elsewise the service was great and the food was really good. A little pricey for what it is, but good. So all in all a solid 3 star.

Very poor experience. Made a reservation for 7:30 and when we went to order a little after 8, we were told the kitchen had closed early (it’s usually open until 9). It would have been nice if we had been told that when we arrived or someone could have let us know the kitchen was about to close.

We celebrated at the West oak which was close to a place we performed at so was convienient. The only complaint I had is we paid $3 each for salad with the meal because it was extra as the snitzel was on special & only came with chips. The salad came out on the plate & it wasn't actually a salad, it was some rocket lettuce leaves topped with some pickled onion. That is not a salad in my opinion.

Food was ok, however my order came last AND was incorrect so had to wait for the correct order to be made. Considering I’m 8 months pregnant it was rather upsetting as was very hungry - especially having to watch everyone else eat! Food came out rather quickly but would have thought there’d be more than just a flippant “sorry”, perhaps a free soft drink or even free meal given it was their stuff up. Especially given price for what you got, tasty but very, very basic.

Super fast and friendly service. Great wine available by the glass and great beers on tap.

I had the mushroom veggie burger and my lovely wife went for the more traditional fish & chips.

The mushroom burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. I think it must have been crumbed and fried, done cheeseburger style with pickles and salad and a good dollop of chipotle hot sauce that gave it a great bite! It was completed with some chips on the side and a tasty IPA to wash it all down.

By comparison my wife said hers was ‘okay’. She was served a couple of battered fillets with salad and chips that was generously sized even if the meal wasn’t an adventurous choice.

Our meals arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and the guy who served us was super friendly and nice.

The menu has plenty of other options worth checking out and I’d have no hesitation to return for another burger and beer.

Great atmosphere in a recently refurbished pub, which has retained it's old character. Menu is modern, food was delicious, staff friendly and helpful.

Food was amazing!! Perfect mix between Australian pub classics and modern Australian cuisine. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, including letting us know what wine went well with each dish.

10/10 would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Shroom Burger is off the chart. Second time I've had it. Good pub vibes. Bit hipster but good mix of people and friendly young staff. Sat in the beer garden - low key vibes, good tunes, a bit of greenery around. Decent wine list and good mix of beer.

Relaxed vibes, great food. The venue looks understated, with a classic Aussie pub feel to it. Plenty of options on the menu, I had the Ruben Bagel which I'd highly recommend, a little bit messy to eat but worth the effort. My partner had the Shroom burger and loved it. Looked like a decent beer selection but I couldn't go past the MacForbes Chardy. Service was friendly, keen to come back and try the Roo Burger.

Had the Rueben Bagel. Was great. Amazing Vego options too. My wife Had the mushroom burger, she said it was probably the juiciest and tastiest burger Shes had in Adelaide. The chip dipping sauce was tasty too. Compliments the salty chips but I’m totally into that haha. Good feel, nice beer garden. Friendly staff. The guy made us a cocktail off the menu - was soo good! Coming back for sure.

A really great all round pub. Not trying to do anything too fancy, service was fantastic & the food was delish! Would definitely frequent this place regularly

Went for a pub meal but we were only told when we got there that pasta was all that was available on the menu for that night, which wasn’t very impressive. We ordered the roo spaghetti, which was fairly priced at $15, but I would not order it again. Overall we were left disappointed.
