White Rose Bar & Grill

Same old restaurant. On the pricey side. Sandwiches for 3 and and a drink was $80.

We went back after a year to see how it was, no updates.

Overall experience was wonderful. So happy to see the White Rose open again. I ordered the Chicken Chesapeake. Crab cake on top was excellent. The chicken breast was dry and very hard to cut I probably would not order it again. I do miss the salmon with the huge ball of crab meat on top. That has been gone from the menu for a long time. That was the one item I would order every time we would eat there. We do miss the bigger menu. But, understand with circumstances. Our waitress was wonderful I wish I could remember her name.

Comfortable with good service, good food, nice experience

We come to this Bar because of Cain. He always does such an amazing job crafting cocktails, remembering what we need. It’s to the point now, he knows our drinks as we walk in. Every establishment should have a “Cain”

We were happy to get a reservation for Easter brunch at the last minute. The menu was limited but everything was excellent.

We came for Easter Brunch and everything was amazing! The food was great, the waitress was great, overall the experience was awesome and I highly recommend this restaurant!

First time going, so we didn't know what to expect since we made reservations at the last minute. We were pleasantly surprised. Will be returning.

I love white rose, that was my first time going back there since Covid and it was amazing! Staff was friendly, didn’t have to wait long on the food. Food and drinks were good!

The crabcake pretzel...get it. lol! life changing. But seriously, yummy food in the heart of a boisterous city. It's nice. Our waiter was great.

I have an autistic son who loves White Rose’s breakfast. He was extremely disappointed with the taste of the food and didn’t eat anything except the bacon. It was disappointing since he’s been bugging me for a year to go there

We were excited to visit our favorite restaurant for brunch now that it reopened. We expected things to be a little different, but we were disappointed with our visit. We were seated on time, 10 AM, their opening time. We waited at least 5 minutes for our waiter. After viewing their Brunch Menu, we ordered the Maryland Crab dip and were promptly told they do not have that. Wow, they just opened for the day and we could not order what is on their menu. They ONLY had WHITE bread for their breakfast menu. They used to offer wheat bread. They changed from tri-color potatoes to shredded potatoes. We ordered hot tea ($2.95), keeping in mind they did not list any beverages or prices on their brunch menu. When we asked for a refill, we were told they only refill sodas, not hot tea. REALLY?! They used to offer a second cup of hot tea at no charge. I wonder if they refill coffee. It seems to me that maybe they are not prepared to be fully open at this point. All and all, the food was fine.

Wish White Rose would have had their St Patrick's Day Celebration. Still enjoyed our visit, service and food!

Menu was limited but food we chose was very good. Didn’t wait long for food to arrive and it was hot. Would definitely go back!

Things have obviously changed Since closures due to Covid-19.

The place just isn't like it used to be. Way too expensive for what you get. I will not go back

Went for brunch. Limited menu but something for everyone. Great food and specialty cocktails!

They have the best hot wings in York county. But the burger tasted like it came off the value menu at Wendy’s. It was so gross. I only took a couple bites and tossed the rest. They also have the best fishbowls

Awesome food! Issue with reservations possibly on my end and still took us in and didnt even hesitate. Im a manager so i know that might have made them have to scramble for a minute. I appreciate them taking care of us and having excellent customer service. I will be a returning customer. Food and drinks were amazing

Love how it wasn’t overly crowded! It was comfortable and food was great!

Burgers were burnt and overcooked, ordered medium rare. They were also out of multiple items, our reservation was at 4pm

Music was so good we ordered two more rounds of drinks.

Very few people were in the restaurant, menu has been slimmed down. Drinks, Food and Service were all great! Glad we were able to support the restaurant.

Great food, great service. Our table was ready, with little to no wait.

Very limited menu, ran out of several things we ordered, waited an hour and a half for food. Food was undercooked. Not the usual experience for this place so we know they can do better but this visit was very disappointing.

It was great to be back in one of our favorite restaurants. Food and drinks were as we remember. Our favorite by far is the crab cakes; and they were made with back fin and full.

White Rose always great food & service. Sarah was nice & Tom checked in with us. They do well in these times.

Got there fight on time. Was taken directly to our table. Waitrrss was attentive. Have our order & it was a short want until food was delivered.

So glad to have The White Rose back open. The food and service were at the same exceptional level. Everything was very clean and tables were spaced out. Could not have felt more safe.

Only complaint would have to be... the less choices to choose from on the menu as I missed it had, in the past but, I understand with Covid and all. Was still very good and our server Cain, was great. Thank you.

The owners of white Rose are fantastic. they are accommodating, friendly, and respectful. Chris our waiter, who we have had before , was again exceptional. Food is great and once this stupid pandemic is over and the governor feels fit to let restaurants and bars be completely open, this is the place to be in Down town York, PA
