Wok n Fire - S Barrington
The curry noodle bowl and crazy roll were great!
Not a big fan. Waitress was either new or inexperienced. Appetizers just about came out with our main course and the waitress wanted to take the plates as we were still eating. Then when it was time to pay, she simply wasn't around.
The sushi wasn't tightly wrapped and the texture was very mushy. Just made a messy when trying to eat.
Always delicious. The service is on point, not hovering but just enough attention. There was a mistake with my order and I was offered soup while I waited. The waitress was intuitive enough to realize that my husband shouldn’t eat alone or have his dinner get cold waiting for my dish to be prepared. Looking forward to my next visit.
My friends and I all enjoyed the happy hour specials and thought the food was excellent!
I wasn’t happy with our server. We had asked him several questions about the menu and didn’t know much. Need to find someone who knows the menu & food.
Wok n Fire is a terrible excuse for an Asian restaurant.
I hate to write negative reviews, but this restaurant has very few redeeming value. The food is made for someone whose taste buds have been terribly damaged and are sensitive to any flavors except sugary sweet.
I consider myself to be someone experienced in Asian flavors and foods, having traveled to Southeast Asia extensively and I haven’t been to China and Hong Kong. Read flavors in the curries and noodle dishes are so bland that I wondered whether spices and flavors have been removed.
I had the red Thai curry, which was marked as a spicy dish, and I felt there was no flavor whatsoever, and there was certainly no hot spice in the dish.
My partner’s noodle dish was similarly bland and almost tasteless.
My shrimp tempura roll Seemed as if the sushi had been dipped in sugar water first. It was the sweetest, sugariest sushi I have ever had. I want to say that it was bad, but it was certainly not good.
This restaurant may be ideal for people trying Asian food for the first time, but it is not good for those who know and enjoy Asian food.
Service was adequate, but not exceptional, and the noise in the dining room was OK. Prices are on the high end, perhaps reflecting its location in the Arboretum center.
Overall, this is not a restaurant that I will choose to return to at all.
Nice environment but the food is mediocre and way over priced. A nice place with a quality of Panda Express.
Everything was very pleasant and the food was very good
Great food and service. Always like to go there for a daye night with hubby.
We have eaten here many times. This time it seemed that all of our meals had less meat in the dinners. If this continues we will not continue to support them. I don’t know if management changed but not customer friendly.
Excellent service and food
Delicious and beautiful food. Best chicken fried rice I've ever had
Been coming to this particular Wok location several times and surprisingly discovered the GM is no longer there. Although the food is still good, the ambiance and environment is different. When I think of a Top Notch restaurant Manager, it’s Miriam. Watching her work the various positions along with her staff is a true definition of team work. Never will you see Miriam, the GM, standing in the corner pontificating over her team. She is a Leader by example. This location will never be the same and she will be missed.
Food was great. Service was lacking. Might have been understaffed.
Great service , good food and very nice atmosphere.
Good food, as always. Poor service with incorrect order, slow follow through, etc.
Had a great time
The service and management were excellent.
Great food and service!
Enjoyed the food and experience !!!
The interior is too dark. Especially compared to your other locations.
I have eaten here on several occasions with various friends. The service, food and ambiance has never disappointed.
This restaurant has a good variety of Asian faire. I personally enjoy their sushi rolls. It is always a nice experience at this location.
I used to love this place but the last two times the quality of food hasn’t been that great. The crab roll appetizers didn’t taste fresh and the slaw was browning. The fantasy roll didn’t seem fresh either. The St. Charles roll was pretty good and remains my favorite roll there.
It was a birthday gathering. We all enjoyed the food and service very much.
Great food and drinks!
New menu was hard to see. Did not care for Ramen.
They have such amazing food! The macadamia nut chicken breast is my favorite!
Love love love the sushi here one of my favorite places when craving Sushi!!!
Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5-10 minutes. Meal was served quick and excellent taste. Server was very friendly and helpful.
Nice environment. Excellent service. A wide variety of choices, you shouldn't have any issues not finding something that you would like.
Really good. A little on the pricey side for us, but we loved everything, so worth it once in a while. Sushi was good, WOK dish was good, soup excellent. Good service. Will go back.
Busy and bit noisy but was still able to hear conversation. Great server and food/drinks.
Very quick service; nice to see manager walking around checking how customers are; take advantage of the groupon
Sushi is fantastic. Highly recommend for date nights or girls night out.
Angela was AWESOME!!!!
It was great, first time trying this restaurant! Everything was delicious
Love the food! Everything is just so good.
Crab Rangoon are amazing!
Food is always very good. Service was prompt and friendly. We will be back.
Had very poor service, our server, Melissa, came to take our order and didn't return until we were done with the meal when she simply asked if we needed a box. We never got drink refills, never were asked how our food was during the meal. Not sure I will return to this location.
