The food was absolutely delicious however I’m not sure if we have ever been treated so rudely by a hostess before. Besides that the experience was fine but when you start our your visit to a restaurant and the first person you come in contact with is very snotty and rude it makes for a bad start to your meal.
We tried a lot of different things, the sushi was just okay, we had the rainbow roll and the spicy jalapeno roll the spicy jalapeno roll was good the rainbow roll wasn't that great. The dumplings were good, but the lettuce wrap should be made with small bits of chicken breast and not ground chicken the consistency was off for me.
The entrees, My Kung Pao steak wasn't spicy the reason you get Kung Pao and lacked flavor, my husband ordered his Kung Pao not spicy and his was tasteless. My daughter ordered seared tuna and that was very good but the sauce didn't taste like soy wasabi sauce but the taste was still very good. That was the best plate of the evening
Our waitress was over ran with tables and was also bartending so we did not get the appropriate attention deserved. I had to send my main entree back 2 times for the steak to be cooked correctly. When it came back it was still not well done so I ended up asking the waitress to just take it off the bill bc at that point my husband was done eating his dinner. I was under the i
The food was excellent. The kitchen lost our ticket. We waited forever and finally found out the problem by flagging down the person waiting our table. The manager finally brought our food and made a joke about it being so late. When we expressed our concerns, he made no apology, no response whatsoever. I understand the restaurant industry is understaffed and that things happen. And when things happen, owning, apologizing, & asking how one can make it right is the way management should respond. The food was still incredible. The management and service was horrid.
Hard to hear b/c of noise. Got very cold at table but waiter had them shut off air after we asked (and he saw all of us wearing our coats). Food was good. Menu has been reduced.
It was just okay. The food quality has declined and so has the service. I realize it’s challenging to find employees and we were patient but we won’t go back.
We found ourselves out in a Barrington and had time for some late dinner. Was able to get a reservation and even able to sit outside. The weather was perfect with a lite breeze and 70 degrees at 8pm. Service was great and food as well. Perfect nite before winter hits.
The sushi here was delicious! It was our first time here and we would definitely come back. We booked our table through opentable, checked in, got seated immediately, server was attentive and the food came out quick and tasted fresh. We really couldn't ask for anything better, except maybe dim the lights a little bit more. It did feel overly bright for a darker ambiance.
From our drinks, appetizers and dinner the food was outstanding. Potstickers and crab rangoon were fresh, light and delicious. Chicken teriyaki and brown rice were perfect.
There was no way to specify that we preferred to sit outside, but when we got there, the outdoor seating was empty, so we asked if we could sit out there. It took a few minutes for them to set it up, but they accommodated our request.
We had 8 people, with split checks, but all our food & drinks were great. Our server was awesome too.
Great food and service. Originally our order of fried rice came out with the wrong protein but, our waitress quickly had another one prepared. Was surprised the spring roles were fried but, still good. Sushi was perfectly prepared. Enjoyed the Pho bowl and dumplings.
It was horrible our server kept messing up our orders
Their sushi seemed like they were trying real hard to be great but just didn't really hit the mark. I am use to better. But it was still good. I ate it all.
Visited on a Wed night, made a reservation, table was ready, no problem.
Took about 10 minutes for wait staff to appear, another 20+ minutes to actually get a drink, 30 minutes before we ordered, another 30 minutes before food appeared and didn't bring our whole order (a total of 3 items). Rarely checked on us to fill water, etc. and had no interest in providing dessert claiming there is no menu and they "only had a couple of things" to offer, it seemed hoping we would decline. Obviously short staffed and we really tried to be understanding...but for over $100 for 2 people, it was extremely disappointing. Better options in a close vicinity.
Love Wok ‘n Fire! Love their happy hour!
First time going there, and was excited about the extensive menu! Service was great as well for it being Sunday and almost closing hours! Will return again :)
We thought the food was just okay.
It felt a little clubby with the music and the tvs were showing something like “lifestyles of the rich and the famous.” We liked the lettuce wraps, but were not fans of the sweet and sour chicken or the adult teriyaki noodles. I’m not sure if there was oyster sauce in there or what, but I did not like the sauce. My husband got sick after his dish.
Awesome food!! Awesome service. We had a great time.
Love the Inky and Black Widow Rolls. The Sweat/Sour chicken was great as well. Good service and friendly staff.
A little noisy but food was very good, our server was good and checked in with us frequently and overall good evening out!
The food was delicious - especially the beef tenderloin skewer appetizer! We also had Kung Pao and Szechwan dishes that were very good. Portions were generously sized without being over-the-top huge. Service was great - friendly and checking in at regular (and just the right amount of) intervals.
The sun was in our eyes. They tried to shade us, but the wind kept turning the umbrella.
Booked 3 days ago and got a table in some kind of a banquet area. Not attended well by the server in an uncomfortable chair.
Food combinations and choices were excellent. More prices should be posted in some of the food options which can Talley up the check.
Some of the signature drinks although pricey were unique, refreshing and delightful.
For some reason, even with 2 tables of kids in our area, it seemed (to me) quite noisy but some what tolerable.
Gabriella was great serving us, the food was amazing so we ordered food to go at the end for our next meal!
Super fun and the food was amazing!
For starters, there was a ring of dirt in my water glass that I had been drinking out of and the manager’s response was “this shouldn’t have happened” and nothing further. My food was so disappointing. My boyfriend and I frequented here for date night and I ordered my usual, teriyaki steak. It’s supposed to come with wok tossed vegetables but it came with a few pieces of steamed broccoli which has never happened. The female cook argued with me that this was standard. I would have never ordered this again had that been what it “typically” was. Their vegetable fried rice for an extra $1.25 consisted of simply brown rice with some broccoli in it, again, not what I’ve had in the past. All in all this place in a matter of months has gone completely down hill. Not worth the price or the horrific stomach ache I got after. The garlic edamame was good though!
My friends and I come here for almost every birthday dinner. Not only is the location smack in the middle of where we all live but we always have an amazing time. The service is always wonderful, with friendly and attentive staff. The food is always delicious and has something for everyone. My friend loved the vegan menu. She was so excited to have to not only compromise herself but also to have so many options. As always our service was amazing, the food was delicious and the banana fritter birthday dessert was fought over it’s so good. We were already planning our next birthday dinner there. This time with an extra banana fritter. Haha
Wok n Fire has a varied menu, good options, great food and friendly service. We enjoy dining there!
Dinner was fantastic. We sat outside on their patio, which essentially is in the parking lot, but they did a great job with faux ivy walls and comfortable outdoor furniture/umbrellas to make it seem like a real patio. We really enjoyed our experience. Food and service were really good!
Server was great. Food tasted better than expected and presentation was well done. Good casual date night spot. Will be back
Food was ok. Thought it was expensive for what we got.
The staff was courteous and friendly and supplied all our needs. It was a really nice time for us.
Sparse decor, not very comfortable. Food was good with a few minor exceptions, like the Pho, which was inedible.
Service was friendly, but slow and inattentive.
My nieces and I enjoyed our sushi very much and the appetizers were delicious.
Our server was very efficient plus had such a pleasant personality. I believe her name was Anya....sorry, but with her slight accent, not sure.
All 4 of us were very pleased with our meals. And to top it off, she brought banana fritters with vanilla ice cream for a birthday celebration. Those fritters were just delicious!
I have been at this restaurant before and have been pleased all four times.
The food was delicious but could have been hotter.
Food was excellent!
Music too loud, not dining music, it was nightclub tunes. Clean? no way. Windows-dirty, bathroom-paper on floor, bins overflowing, no toilet paper, lights out, tables & chairs-needed a good wipe down, ceiling decorations-missing and dusty, menus-paper menu inside an old plastic, flimsy cover, no bev napkins used, servers ask who ordered what before placing dish on table, servers should be serving in a proper order without asking who gets what.
I'd order the food again, for take out. However, the decor and furnishings need a thorough cleaning. Servers need proper training.
