   Sadly, our first time to the Woodspoon was it's last day before closing. They were out of a lot of menu items as a result. The vibe matched the day. The food was good, not great. The staff were phenomenal. Really sorry we didn't get to try the place before now. Wish everyone the best!

   This is true downtown gem. The whole experience from staff to the seating to the food is retreat from the LA Downtown energy. Love how its a place for intimate dinners.

   Had a nice pre-mother’s day lunch at woodspoon. The food was great! I had been there before and could not resist getting the chicken pot pie. I don’t know that I’ll ever find one that tastes as great. I’m so sorry to see this place go, but best of luck to everyone that worked hard to make woodspoon a success.

    I love Woodspoon. I feel like I’m eating in Chef Natalia’s home. Get the mix plate of coxinha, shrimp croquette and other delicious appetizers. The buttery chicken pot pie never disappoints and the moqueca, a coconut seafood stew, tastes like a family secret recipe. Go visit Natalia!

    My partner and I have been to the Wood Spoon a number of times and it has always been memorable. The service is great, food is superb, atmosphere is charming and intimate. And the prices are very fair for the quality. It feels like I’m eating the best home cooked meal but I’m dining out in downtown LA! We absolutely love it! It’s one of our favorite date spots now.     This is one of the most phenomenal experiences my friend and I have had at a restaurant in a long time and we both enjoy good food and we’re honoured to be able to speak with the chef at the end of the night as well. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 and we would definitely recommend.

    Wood Spoon is my go-to favorite intimate restaurant when I have friends visiting or just dinner with close friends. This time was no different. all four friends were new to Wood Spoon and loved it. The owner and chef,Natalia was her always charming and gracious self, making us feel welcome and at home.     Friendly atmosphere good vibe, but it needs better ventilation/fresh air. Two of the four of us eating were born/raised in Brasil and all of us first time at Wood Spoon. Food Feedback: 1 Pre-heat plates/bowls. 2. Use proper wine glasses to serve 3. Moqueca bowls were TINY portions (1 shrimp tail?) at a VERY high price. Needed 5-6 shrimp & 2x-3x fish. Excellent flavor but remained hungry. 4. Bolinho de Bacalhau were TINY. Each bolinho Should be 2x that size. 5. No Pao de Queijo was seen…??? 6. Beet Salad very plain and needed seasoning. We had to add salt. 7. Croatian red wine was terrible (sweet) with very odd color. Do NOT serve this to anyone. 8. Passion fruit sangria needs 1/2 the ice and 3x the amount Chardonnay. It was mostly ice and tiny amount of wine 9. Pineapple, coconut, & clove beijinho could be warmer and less sugar. It was Very cold and very sweet. 10. Meatballs (appetizer special) was enjoyed, BUT not hot, only lukewarm. 11. Both from Brasil enjoyed their Tropeiro Beans plates. Serving Feedback: 1. Quickly Clear Away empty plates 2. Offer refills of drinking water Obrigado

    Pleased to find that Woodspoon is still a great place to have a nice dinner with friends. Have not been there since before. Covid began. Although tables are a little too close together, I do appreciate the fact that owners can’t afford to give up the income.
