Woven & Bound
Salad was not well presented with chunks of cheese
Hi there, thank you so much for your review. We appreciate any and all feedback to help us better service you. We apologize for the salad presentation but hope you will return. We pride ourselves on providing you with excellent food during your time here at the Marriot Marquis Chicago and look forward to another opportunity to take care of you. Thank you again.
I ate at this location over the course of 4 meals simply due to proximity to the hotel and the fact that I only had 1 hour with each of my clients. Service on day 1 was Awful - but found a waitress on second day that was amazing and kept asking for her section. I made a number of reservations and each time they would sit me at a couch that looked like it had be drug out of the dump. Seriously - I had to ask my client to sit on a couch that looked like a homeless person had slept on it, and used it as a bathroom. As I left I looked at some of the other couch areas thinking, it couldn't be that bad elsewhere.....it was worse. One looked like someone had been shot in the head. I had asked on the reservation to be seated outdoors but was told housekeeping hadn't cleaned the area. I can't even imagine how bad that must have been if their indoor seating looked like bathroom soaked assassinations were taking place.
Food was fair at best - furniture is disgusting.....immediately left lunch and changed clothes because I just felt dirty.
Awesome! The food was incredible!
This is a Hotel Restaurant. Don't expect more.
Very good!!! Brussel sprouts and chicken wings for appetizers were outstanding!! And the gooey butter cake was fantastic
Thank you so much for your kind review. We pride ourselves on providing excellent food and an experience you'll remember. We hope to see you again soon!
This lobby restaurant is set up a little confusingly, but once one moves past the coffee shop, the restaurant is nice.
The staff is excellent. It is loud, but they are efficient and with online reservations, this is a great business lunch location. My colleague's lamb burger was apparently very good. My kale caeser with salmon was competent but was fairly bland and unimaginative (and also didn't have any traditional ceaser features like anchovies).
Overall, it fits the purpose - quick business meals - very well.
Mira, thank you so much for joining us. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and receive feedback. We hope to see you return. We can always try and spice up your caesar salad to your liking. We get an overwhelming amount of requests not to have the anchovies but are happy to see what we can do for you. Thank you again and we hope to see you soon, Andrew McGeogh Restaurant Manager Marriott Marquis Chicago
I was at a convention and stayed at the Marriott Marquis and had reservations for business lunches at Woven and Bound 3 days in a row. I cancelled the third day. The restaurant seemed overwhelmed by the business. Service was slow. The chairs were uncomfortable--the first day we sat at a high top with stools that didn't really have a back; the second day on low couches that were too deep. Not at all appropriate for a business lunch. The menu was not impressive. I got salads and they were really nothing to write home about--mostly lettuce with a few thinly sliced radishes. My salad was supposed to come with a vinaigrette which I fortunately asked to be brought on the side. What I got was not a vinaigrette but something mayonnaise based. The second day, I knew better and ordered a different dressing. By the time my replacement dressing came, the meal was practically over. On day 2, my salad came without the salmon I asked for. A member of my party was so distressed, he told the waiter that I better not be charged for it. Indeed, it came when I had practically finished my salad. We were never asked if we wanted coffee which was just as well since service was so slow we were all ready to leave. I am shocked that a new hotel does not include a more high end restaurant with better food selections.
Food is great. Service is exceptional.
really loud at times but pretty good food with outstanding service
Nice breakfast buffet and our server was super nice. At first they lost my Open Table reservation but then found it.
Had a business breakfast, and it just was not a great experience. We had a reservation and that worked smoothly. One meal was incomplete, others arrived later. Needed ask for refills. Some meals were good others were not.
Good location, easy access to McCormick and Wintrust Arena.
Great food, great service!
For $1500 plus tip for 8 people, the price was excessive. Steaks were good but not outstanding like I have had elsewhere. Service was excellent!
Convenient as it's in the hotel but limited dinner choices.
Breakfast was just OK--limited options, pricey buffet with standard fare. Lunch was very good. The short rib sandwich was messy but tasty, and my colleagues enjoyed their sandwiches as well. If you are staying at the Marriott or attending an event at the convention center, the restaurant is convenient.
Before sporting event.
Quite surprised had Duck and Rabbit! Chacuterie was so-so need more variety. Desserts also very tasty.!
Good food & attentive service
Great Christmas Day dinner! Food was very good and our waiter was Excellent’
Different type of food offered but was very good!!
The food was great. From the appetizers to entrees, sides, desserts, everything was delisted. Service was a bit slow, but everyone was very accommodating. A perfect addition!
EXCELLENT CHOICE WHEN AT MCCORMICK PLACE!
Food was great - started with the stuffed figs - YUM! Soup was hearty and the rabbit pasta was wonderful. Excellent wine list too.
Service was personable and efficient- Kudos to Ignacio!
Terrible service —some got their food, others waited 20 minutes after others were served. Very poor
Business lunch during a large convention, so everywhere was busy. Great option with good food and connected to the convention. Would recommend, especially if attending event at convention Center.
In general very good. They say us down on
Clean efficient friendly and convenient location. Excellent service and good food.
Inside the Marriott Marquis, this restaurant serves the convention crowd. I think you have to enjoy that vibe to appreciate the restaurant. The food is good. I had lake trout that was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The menu, however, is a bit narrow, especially if you don’t eat bacon or kale.
Went for cocktails at the bar and then for breakfast. Slow service at the bar but my mixed drink although not cheap was amazing, so glad we waited. Be aware that for breakfast they do not offer the buffet when the hotel isn't full enough, and they don't let you know that in advance. But we both ordered off the menu and the food was very good. We would go back.
It was a pleasant atmosphere and the food was really really good.
Breakfast while staying at the hotel. Also had drinks in bar the night before.
Love the espresso bar
Limited brunch menu. Dishes were not memorable. Service took very long even if there were only a few people.
Great breakfast menu! Service was very good especially at peak breakfast time. Great location near McCormick Place.
Ate here several times during my stay as I was attending a conference across the street. Food was good as was the service. It’s really convenient!
Even with a reservation it took over 10min to be seated, another 20min before a waitress stopped by our table to bring water, we ordered quickly and the food took over 30min to be delivered. Really disappointing and disruptive as we were on a tight schedule.
Too many tables and not enough servers. Such a shame that professionalism eludes this beautiful space.
I used Woven & Bound for a business breakfast. Our group of nine was seated promptly and the table setting was really nice with several pitchers of coffee and lovely ceramic place settings. Our waitress came by promptly with water and juice and kept the refills flowing throughout. I was impressed by the service, the buffet options, and the interior decor.
It's a ubiquitous hotel lobby restaurant, and we came for breakfast during a busy conference, which is why just about anyone would be here (the hotel is next to McCormick Place). There was a very long line that seemed to take forever to get through, and we sat down 10 minutes late despite having a reservation. But even once we sat down, we barely saw a server -- nobody came by to take our order after 15 minutes, and we ended up just needing to go to the breakfast buffet because we'd have been waiting through lunch before someone took the order. This was all despite there being many open tables.
Everything just went very slowly and seemed disorganized, as if they were completely unprepared. But this is what they should be expecting every day.
Unfortunately my experience was horrible
Staff is so incompetent, short and argumentative.
Food was poorly prepared my food was overlooked and my husband vine was sitting out fir too long and was awful
Not recommending ever !!!!
Great service. Eggs Benedict and willingness of staff to alter ingredients was fantastic
