Attitude of staff was disgusting!!!

Drinks menu was filthy and when i asked for another one i was told there was no more yet it was not busy.

Staff had their friends walking into the kitchen without a face mask and was also walking around without one. Staff said nothing.

we were told that it was last orders at the bar at 9:30 yet when other customers came in later they were still able to order drinks (after 10pm) so why were we told that?

Since that shop has opened Carribean Dream is normally my favourite cocktail but yesterday it lacked flavour, Kingston Kick was great as always the bbq chicken and tossed stir fry was really nice but the mac and cheese was not the same overall they seem to retain staffs so its enevtable this would happen

I booked Yah-So on behalf on my friend celebrating her birthday. From start to finish the team were personable, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was truly outstanding and we personally complimented the chef and the team on the excellent food. We can’t wait to come back again!

Four of us booked for a 5.30pm dinner service on December 11. The young lady serving us epitomised excellent customer service, with her courteous manner. Unfortunately, I forgot to get her name, so can't personalise my praise. We were all served our main course and cocktails within 25 minutes. This was a pleasant surprise, as the last time we ate at Yah-So, over a year ago, we waited more than one hour to get some drinks! The food was delicious: succulent spare ribs, a juicy jerk burger, tender curry goat and scrumptious curry goat. It was my son's birthday and he was served with a surprise mini chocolate cake - again, delicious. There was a chilled Jamaican ambience, set off by the decor and reggae music. Evidently, the management have upped their game since our last visit, listening and acting on customers' feedback. Well done - we'll be back!

The Food was incredible! We had the seabass, mac and cheese, jerk chicken and plantain. All amazing. The cocktails were great. The service was excellent with knowledgeable staff making recommendations and checking in to ensure everything was of a high standard. I would come back time and time again.

The food was absolutely delicious, however the service needs to be so much more, we had to wait ages for our drinks, then ages for our food.. The place is lovely the music was a little bit load for a dining experience. I would go back for the food even though I know what to expect!

Had a wonderful evening we thoroughly enjoyed and very good value for money , will definitely be going back again

Food was delicious great Customer service and very polite staff and a great atmosphere

The service was not very good but the food was good. The drinks were very weak all out table asked for them to be adjusted.

I think with all that was happening,(COVID-19) and the rules surrounding wearing a face mask the manager was a bit bias as to me it was one rule for some customers and one for her friends/acquaintances. Our order was rushed we were unable to order any starters or dessert, we waited ages for drinks and I just think the manager was quite rude when we approached her regarding some issues.

Kept us waiting for a booked table for nearly an hour., did not offer us a complimentary drink for keeping us waiting for so long until I mentioned they should have done that.
The service in between waiting for courses and ordering food was diabloical. Overall the reason I go back is because the food is good, bit expensive for the area. Because of the prices theycharage for the food the service should be exceptional. After all the waiting for table and food they still charge service charge on the bill.

Tasty food, pleasent service on the whole. The waiter was a little too keen to clear our table before I had finished my meal. However, we had a nice evening. I recommend you visit this restaurant.

Overall the food and atmosphere were good, however it took far too long for our drinks to arrive.

Second time visiting here but the same experience.
The drinks were ordered 1st but once again the food came before. Other than that the food was outstanding as per usual. Will definitely come back

Overall a horrible experience. I have read the review and truly am shocked that I agree with most of the negative comments.

The service is unprofessional, staff are rude and mocktails taste like syrup. It is a huge shame because the first time I went the food was okay so I overlooked the poor service. However having attended a second time I am in no rush to return.

Ordered prawns, Mac & cheese 🧀 , plantain chips 🍟 & rack of ribs!
I did have to send ribs back as they were cold. Got a fresh rack that was hot to my standard!
Would definitely attend again to try out other food on the menu.

Will definitely be back. The food was amazing. The only negative would be that the music was too loud!! But worth every penny...

I have been to yahso before last year and was disappointed to see how the food quality has dropped, especially with the value that it is. The portion sizes have decreased, the drinks watered down and was seated at a dark and wonky table. I won’t be returning in a hurry which is quite sad!!

Food was ok took long to come out there wasn’t no covid 19 regulations put in place they had a women in there coughing so bad and nobody said anything which was wrong as there was kids an adults present. Don’t think I be going back there right now as there wasn’t nothing out in place to make u fee safe we had to asked to not sit next to the lady coughing

I really enjoyed the food and drinks superb food but the waiting time for food needs to improve we got our side dishes 20 mins after our mains and when we asked it was like it was a crime .

We loved evening at Yah-So..... our starter was calamari, chicken wings, ribs All very very tasty! Main was Seabass but we found the gravy a bit heavy like soup.. therefore we were not so blown-away with the main on this occasion... HOWEVER you could see by the presentation that the chefs had dedicated alot of effort to showcase their culinary skills for the customer to enjoy. The coctails were sweet and moreish and the alcohol hit the spot!
(The R&B music was abit loud, and some of the lyrics were a bit explicit at times)
The customer service in general was good. We intend to dine their again, and look forward to enjoying another tasty and equally welll presented meal. We would recommend this restaurant to family and friends as it's well worth it, this was my second visit. Thank you to all the staff for this experience. :)

Disappointing and poor service from our waitress. Wrong attitude to a request we made, unwilling and uncooperative. The place has great potential but beware, the starters do not come with sides so you are essentially paying £12 for a portion of oxtail and charged separately for the rice and peas that usually accompanies the dish. Strange. Cocktails are watered down and not very well made. Lovely to see young staff employed however the expertise is not there unfortunately. I think we can and should do better, we need businesses like this in our communities.

They need to serve your meal a bit faster, however the food was delicious.

The food is okay, the drinks are great but we had to wait a long time to get our drinks. It’s really busy on a Friday night.

It was great I loved the playlist and taste of the food. However, I’d recommend them doing a sound check in the speakers before they open up as they kept cutting out while we were enjoying ourselves! Also, the presentation of the food could be a bit better although it was delicious and well seasoned.
