Yeobo, Darling, founded by chefs Meichih and Michael Kim (formerly of the Michelin-starred Maum in Palo Alto), celebrates Korean and Taiwanese heritages through thoughtfully crafted cuisine and ambiance. Our name—Yeobo (여보), meaning "look here" in Korean—symbolizes attention and connection, reflecting our commitment to creating an intimate, welcoming space rooted in cultural storytelling. We honor tradition through our abundant banchan service, seasonal ingredients, and innovative interpretations of classic flavors. Every dish was delicious. I think they do a great job of fusing Korean and Taiwanese flavors. The presentation of the food was immaculate and the service was attentive and impeccable. Shoutout to Linda for her amazing service!

Overall, this felt like pretty average Taiwanese street food rather than anything elevated or memorable. I went in with higher expectations, but unfortunately, most of the dishes tasted very similar from one to the next, and there wasn’t really a standout dish or flavor that I would remember afterward. Even the bread was disappointing—the butter didn’t taste particularly high quality, which added to the feeling that the overall food quality was closer to casual local street food than a higher-end dining experience. Considering the time and effort it took to drive over, it simply wasn’t worth it for us. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t make the trip again.

Delicious and inventive dishes. We especially loved the chicken liver with pineapple, corn custard, lu ruo lasagna, and scallion croissant with butter. Great service, nice space, perfect for date night, or intimate gathering and celebrations. Will be back again to try more dishes!

Creative menu items that are as fun and delicious as they sound. That night, we had a current special which was a duck and eel egg roll. The halibut on cabbage was wonderful and of course the scallion croissant was a delight to the eyes with this rectangular shape, crispy soft texture and taste. A place to come back to again and again for any occasion.

We have been to Yeobo several times recently and each meal has been excellent. Items on the menu change quite regularly and we have yet to try something that wasn't unusual. The food here is unique in the area, with a very original and creative chef. The combination of Korean and Taiwanese influences pervades the food but certainly not in a traditional sense. An excellent addition to the restaurant scene in the Palo Alto/Menlo Park area.

We hadn't been since shortly after they opened as it is hard to get a reservation. The food is excellent and original, different from what you will find elsewhere. Everything is high quality. The corn custard, currently on the menu as a small dish, is exceptional. The service was very prompt and helpful and because the dishes are not at all typical, it is worth asking. We'll go again for sure - if we can get a reservation.
