The food was great and the service attentive. The building is old and does not have a great vibe. It was a hot day in Dallas and the cooling inside the restaurant was not adequate. It was uncomfortably warm which detracted from us enjoying the food

Loved loved loved Nate’s service he was amazing, and very sweet checked on my table often made sure we were good. He gave us recommendations and I just loved his service and very personable. I brought my friend here she’s from out of state and she said “Nate’s service has been the best part of my trip”.

This is absolutely not the same restaurant that we enjoyed in the past. The food quality and selection is not half as good. The restaurant used to seem eclectic but now is is just worn and dirty. The servers are trying, but when the food is poor, there isn't much they can do. Only QR code menus are available, which are difficult to see on the phone. The traditional, delicious Lebanese fare we were expecting is gone. I can only assume that ownership has changed or they have given up. Watery is not a word I would ever have imagined coupling with hummus but here we are.

Zatar was terrific. We were patio, where hookahs were being enjoyed, and it was lively. I had a delicious summer cocktail, the lavender lemon drop, and my friend and I shared the family style mezze platter. The baba ganoush was smoky and the falafel was some of the best I hsvevever eaten. Very pleased.

Our service was great form our waiter and the person making sure our hookah was always going well. The only thing is that the music was so loud we had to yell sitting right across from each other.

The host at the front was pleasant, however it went downhill from that point forward. We eventually decided to leave after 30 minutes of sitting at the table and not one person coming to speak to us. We had several waiters go to each table beside us to help other patrons, but not acknowledge our existence. With only 4 total parties in the restaurant there is no excuse for the lack of service. $56 in Ubers and an hour of our time to not even be greeted does not equate to a positive review.

I visited for my anniversary, besides my fiancée rushing our evening it was great. I will definitely be back it’s got the best ambiance it’s definitely a safe space for deep ellum. food was 10/10 I had the lamb chops, drinks as well I had the lemon drop & old fashion. beautiful space overall!

we saw 4 rats running on top of the pipes. We let the server know and manager offered to discount 20% of our check, we did not accept the offer, we would rather the restaurant make money but take care of the issue, it is health code violation on every level not to mention creepy!

This is the the most laid back eclectic cozy environment. I would not advise booking an outside table during the summer until they get better AC for that area. However, the food and the service is always stellar. I usually order the lamb burger and sample whatever entree my husband orders. Everything has been very tasteful. I don't smoke hookah, but I am told this is the best place in the area for hookah.

Love love love the falafel basket! We also tried the Sambousek and the spicy hummus which were fabulous. Finished off sharing an order of the baklava which was delicious as well. Would absolutely come back and try a few new things!

Review for Zatar Dallas- Food was outstanding, our waiter was mediocre but other staff members were friendly and helpful, but charging for still Ozarka water (we asked for tap water) and ice (from vodka on rocks) with a $100+ bill for two people is ridiculous. Nickel and dimming us ruined the experience. Do better management.

Sadly, their menu was very limited when I visited the restaurant. They only had the basic appetizers and not their signature dishes. The taste was fair, but too expensive for the amount and quality. After our server took our order and began to bring the food, we figured that some of the plates were missing. She said that the missing dishes were not being sold at the moment. She explained that they had an outdated menu. The server was fine, but we were very discouraged for not being able to consume items on the menu.

love this place! love the vibes and the drinks were amazing! I made a suggestion for one of the drinks to the server and the bartender took my advice right away! the hummus with lamb is absolutely the BEST. the zatar special mix for the hookah is my go to. would highly recommend this place.

The staff were all very friendly... The atmosphere was balanced with a nice music variety softly playing in the background... The falafel was wonderfully crisp with a spectacular blend of spices and the fatoush salad with a bold lemony zest were our favorites but all the rest was just average... The mezza is very overpriced for what you get but all the other plates are about average... The only other thing that could help with the flavor quality is new oil... One of our plates had zatar fries and you could taste the old oil used to fry them... They do have a hookah area which seemed very popular so if you are into that you'd probably enjoy the atmosphere!

Went on a date. It’s more of a hookah bar than a dining place. Some parts of the meal were excellent, other parts not so much. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I’m going to try something else next time.
